《Love Live! Revolution!》An Idea

"Reloooon. Reloooon. Come on, wake up!"
"Mmmm." Giving a groggy moan, his ruby eyes slowly become visible as he lifts up.
With a few blinks, he looks around to see where he is.
There's my bed... So where am I...
Looking down, he sees the answers.
Oh, I'm at my desk... I must have fallen asleep...
Letting out a yawn, he looks to his left sees a smiling You.
"Morning..." Relon tiredly greets to yawn afterwards.
"Morning, sleepyhead. Did you fall asleep at your desk."
"I guess so..." He slowly stands giving himself a good stretch.
"Want to go for a jog after breakfast?" You asks.
With another yawn, he rubs his eyes looking to You. Slowly, the events from the previous night come flooding as his eyes go wide.
"You-chan?!" Immediately, his head snaps to his desk. His work from last night visible. "Ah!" He shouts, both he and You jumping at the sound.
"A jog? Great, sounds great! You make breakfast and I'll meet you downstairs in a little bit. Sounds good, 'kay bye!" He speaks faster than You can understand as he scurries pushing You out before closing the door behind her.
Blinking, she looks behind at the door hearing the moving of what sounds like paper and Relon talking to himself.
"O...kay? That was weird?" She shrugs heading to finish breakfast.
Sighing heavily, he falls back onto his bed.
"Did she see them? God, I hope she didn't!" He groans tossing and turning before sitting up.
His mind goes to yesterday with Miguel and then the aftermath once he returns home. His eyes going to the drawer he placed his papers in. With another heavy sigh, he stands up.
Half an hour later, he comes to see the table already laid with breakfast. Waffles, sausages and fruit. You just placing down the drinks.
"Wanna explain what that was about?" She laughs.
"Uh, I... A lot happened yesterday. Sorry about that." Relon scratches the back of his head sheepishly as he sits.
"Considering you were with Miguel, I can believe it." She laughs. "So what were those papers on your desk?" This question causing Relon to go stiff as he quickly hides the stunned look on his face eating more food.

Swallowing, he gathers himself.
"Oh, I just thought of an idea for a story so I started writing. I didn't realize how late it was so I must have fallen asleep at my desk."
"Really? That's so cool! I'd love to read what you have sometime. It must be good if you wrote." She cheerfully says taking a bite of a waffle, Relon speechless.
You-chan...
Feeling the guilt rise inside, he shakes it away as they continue their breakfast. Heading out, they start their light jog through the neighborhood. Keeping pace side-by-side, You enjoys the warm sunlight before glancing to Relon. A grim expression on his face as if in thought.
"Relon?" No response. "Hey." She tugs on his jacket, Relon jumping once again looking to her.
"Huh? Oh. My bad. I got lost in thought."
"I can tell. More ideas about the story?"
"Uh..." But before he can give her an answer, the sounds of crashing waves interrupts him. Glancing past You, he takes sight of the beach.
How long have we been jogging for? I could have sworn we just left...
"Let's go dip our feet in the water!" You exclaims running out on the sand.
Taking off her shoes and socks, she tests the water's temperature giving a small squeal.
"It's cold!" She laughs before running into the coming tide, her ankles going under water. "Relon, come on!" She waves over.
His eyes trace the jovial smile before hurrying along. Reaching the water, he shivers at the cold before quickly adjusting as he looks far off at the ocean.
"It's pretty." You murmurs, Relon looking to her.
"Is it saying anything?" He absent-mindedly asks.
"No. Nothing right now."
"Oh..." He turns back forward to suddenly be hit in the face by the cold water. "What the?!" Snapping to You, he sees the girl giving a cheeky smile before splashing more water at him. "H-Hey! Cut it out!"
Retaliates with his own splashes.
"Yeah, take that!" He grins.
"Alright, now it's on!"

Both going at it for a whole half hour before they cease. Laying on the warm sand, both panting from exhaustion.
"I... so won... that." Relon says tiredly.
"No way... I won.. haha." You says. "I can't lose when I'm in my element." She sits up as does Relon.
"Just because you're a swimmer doesn't mean you get some bonus like in a game. Mmm, I don't know... You're more soaked than I am from the looks of things."
"Your eyes are playing tricks on you." He rolls his eyes. "But on another note, you'll be going for the swimming team, right?"
"Yup. And you soccer. It's funny. If anyone saw the way you run, I'm sure they'd suggest track."
"Ew. A sport where I have to run as fast as possible until I cross a line and then have to wait who knows how long before I go back up. No thanks. I'm like Sonic the Hedgehog. I have a need for speed. Once I'm off, I don't want to stop."
"Oh, trust me. Miguel and I know that all too well."
"Dad always kept pestering me to do track but I just kept refusing. It got to a point where he'd use the most unreal things to get me to join."
"Yikes. At least you managed to change his mind in the end, right?"
"Wrong. He still wants me to do track. You would think parents would be more supportive but he I guess dad doesn't fit the category."
"That bad?" Relon just nods.
"I envy you in that aspect. Your parents have always supported you and each other. Mine used to but things are so opposite now. Mom is all for whatever I put my mind to but is busy with work to be there while dad is always there but never for supporting me." He stands up. "Sometimes I wish things could just be simple again..." His min seeming to go somewhere else once again
"You and me both." She stands as well glancing far off at the pier. "Come on." She tugs his arm.
"Huh?" He wonders to see the pier.
Both make their way over sitting at the edge, their feet just centimeters above the water's surface.
"So... what's really on your mind?" She asks looking at the morning sea.
For some time there is silence. One that seems both have grown accustomed to simply being patient on the other. Eventually, he speaks.
"You may not like it." He mutters.
"What makes you say that?"
A minute of silence follows. The boy seeming to be arguing with himself over whether to reveal his bothering thoughts or not. After another minute, he decides.
"It has to do with idols..." He eyes glancing to see You's mild surprise.
"Oh..." She responds.
Now it's her turn to question whether or not to continue this. A minute later, she does.
"What about idols?"
"This dream! Our dream! The city's dream! Japan's dream is right behind us. I ain't letting it go to waste. Not over my dead body!"
"The smiles all over Japan that once came from idols... have long since disappeared." He begins slowly. "Everyone's happiness was lost. So was ours. And... last night, the thought remained on my mind for a while. I think I was just writing down ideas about what I could do until around 3 in the morning." He reveals, You widening slightly. "Everyone's smile. Your smile. I want to see it over and over again. Just like when we went to the stadium."
"Relon..." You barely responds, too shocked from the words she's hearing.
"That's why..." He turns to her fully.
Pure seriousness plastered on his face.
"You-chan- no. You, I have an idea!"
You-chan- no. You, hear me out. The joy of everyone including ourselves; I want to save it! No matter the risk! Find out next time on Love Live! Revolution! Chapter 8: Commencement
