Day 4
"Hey. Hey! Come on, Relon. Wake up!"
Rustling from his slumber, Relon rolls over to feel his body move on its own slightly. Yawning, he rolls over, his eyes barely open as the dawn of the sun gives light to a figure overtop him. Slowly widening, his eyes begin to focus on what or more so whom it is.
"What the?! Miguel?!" He exclaims raising up.
"Morning, bud." He gives a one handed wave before putting it down.
Releasing the risen tension, Relon gives a covered yawn before looking around.
"What time is it...?" He reaches for his phone.
"Six in the morning." Miguel says energetically. "Now get dressed, we got stuff to do." He turns to leave.
"Wait, how did you even get in? And what do you mean, 'stuff to do?'"
"One; your mom let me in. She's such an early bird after all. And two; Some stuff. Thought today would be a good day for some guy time."
"Guy time...?"
Half an hour later, they're both downstairs.
"Have fun, you two." Mé calls from the kitchen drinking coffee.
"See you later, Ms. Asuka!" Miguel waves.
"Later mom." Relon bids before they are out the door taking in the rising sun.
"So where exactly are we headed for our 'guy time.'"
"Shopping." Miguel answers tossing a bookbag at Relon as he puts on the other.
"Shopping? At six thirty in the morning?" Relon asks catching up.
"Yup. The only time we can get anything from this place."
"What place?"
"You'll see." Miguel smirks, the rest of their walk filled with small chit-chat here and there.
Eventually, they stop in an area between the edge of the city and neighborhood district.
"What are we doing here?"
"Shopping." Miguel answers looking around before crouching down and opening a pothole.
"What the?!"
"Come on!"
"You're joking, right?"
"No, now let's go before someone sees!"
Giving in, Relon and Miguel climbs down to see a trail of lanterns.
"We're shopping in the sewers? Really?"
"Yup. Let's go." Miguel leads until they come to a dead end.
Knocking three times, he pauses to knock three more times.
"Come on in." A voice sounds from the other side surprising Relon as Miguel pushes one side of the wall to flip open.
"Let's go. Time to see what they have." He states excited.
Proceding with caution, Relon has only one thing to say as he steps inside.
"What... in the... hell...?"
All around lies nothing but idol merchandise. Dozens of people around shopping.
"Is that a cop?!" Relon whispers.
"Oh, yeah. That's Chuck. He's cool. Yo, Chuck!" The police officer turns to wave.
"Hey, Miguel. Don't bother asking him anything. He has no info on other cops. Weird. I know. Let's see..." Miguel begins to wander looking through electronics.

"Just what is this place...?"
"This, my young bro, is a secret shopping mall for surviving idol merch. Which is why we got bookbags." Miguel answers, some familiar cords now in his hands.
"Aren't those the same from your place?"
"Yeah. I needed some more and this place sells them for a really good price." He walks over grabbing some more stuff. "And these will be for the stadium."
"You're going back already?!" He whispers in shock.
"Yeah. There's some stuff I still want to fix." Miguel shrugs.
"I thought we talked about this!"
"Yes, we did. You and You- Ha. I made a funny. You and yourself wouldn't be going anytime soon. I won't... as much. And yes it is risky but I've been careful so don't worry so much." He ruffles Relon's hair which the boy bats away.
"Do you not see how dangerous this is?!"
"I do."
"Mi- Relon sighs calming himself. "This conversation isn't over." He states.
"Yeah. yeah. Yeah..." The older boy says with a wave lookin around the electronic section.
"What have I gotten into..." Looking around, Relon's eyes widen at the sight before him.
In the idol section is a poster of the QQ's. A poster which happens to be the deluxe limited edition with Ichika at the center during her solo.
"How much?! 10,000 yen?!" He immediately takes it turning to see a snickering Miguel. "Shut it." He goes to the cashier. "Take my money." Relon hands over the correct amount
"Ahh, a fellow QQ fan. So, Ichika is best girl for you? I'm more of a Miku and Nino but hey, Ichika's pretty great too." With a few clicks, the exchange is done as Relon grins happily at the poster.
Glancing back at the cahier, he sees the man wearing a QQ shirt with Nino and Miku in outfits seeming to have a standoff.
"See? I knew you'd be happy. Bringing You and who knows how she would have reacted. Probably jealous of that, haha."
"Oh, shut up." They disperse seeing what else they can buy and before long they are gone and back on the surface walking into the city. "I can't believe I finally have it. I've looked everywhere for years and couldn't find it anywhere and to think it was below me this whole time."
"The underground mall opened about three years ago but I found it a little bit after you left for America. With the last six years, not small shops that sold idol merch we shown no mercy. Before the feds could get them, they hid all their merch and down they went into the underground mall. It's the only place in Numazu you can still get idol merch."
"Oh, yeah! Back to our conversation!"
"Uggggggghhhh, can you just drop it!"
"No! And you know why!"

"I hear you, dad. So can we just drop it? Guy time doesn't usually involve you lecturing me."
"Miguel..." Relon sighs as they walk on. "Hey, what was the real reason for bringing me? I'm sure that comment about You was to distract me in the moment."
"No. Not really. I genuinely just wanted guy time. Give you a break from the house. With how freaky you both be getting, I'm sure you could use it." He elbows.
"Yeah, right. The only freaky thing is that mall."
"Hey, I still say y'all would look good together." Miguel shrugs. "But aside from that, you know you loved it. Consider that poster a gift from me to you. Not the girl, but you."
"I know. God, this is exactly one reason to add honorifics with her. It's too easy to confuse people."
"Uniqueness at its finest. We should ask her parents what they thought naming her You. I've always forgotten to when we were younger."
"Yeah, we both did. Huh?" Without realizing it, they stand just before the black tape. "When did we...?" Relon looks around seeing the city empty as far as the eye can see.
"Let's go." Miguel ducks under.
"What are you doing?! There could be cameras!"
"No there aren't. This is the way I always go because there are no cameras. Now, come on!"
Looking around to spot no one, Relon curses to himself ducking under and disappearing with Miguel into a building. Before long, they arrive.
"I can't believe I'm back here already. And what all did you even buy?" Relon asks, Miguel's bookbag stuffed to the brim while he holds more bags in both hands.
"Oh, stuff to help fix the stadium up some more."
"If You finds out about this, we're both dead."
"Don't worry! She won't... yet."
"What was that?!"
"Nothing! Let's a go!" He jumps sliding down towards the stadium entrance.
"Your Mario impression is still terrible!" Relon calls looking around before going in after Miguel.
Reaching the bottom, he sees Miguel gone for the lights to come on. A few minutes later, he returns.
"Alright, let's fix up this lobby now. I got cords and other stuff. First we'll sweep this up. Lemme tell you something. From start to now, I've been working on just the generator and the stage. The amount of mess that was in there was something all of it own. And don't get me started on the power. I've never plugged in so many cords in my life." Miguel says reaching for two large brooms.
"You've been dead set on fixing this place the whole time, haven't you?"
"You're just now realizing? Considering I told you guys I've been working on this for a while, you should have known I wouldn't just up and stop like that."
"I swear, if we get caught-
"We won't! Stop worrying! Those cops aren't going nowhere near Sector Destroyed. Now, less talking, more cleaning. I want this place swept within the hour. The we gotta match up circuits and whatnot to get the power going through here."
Sighing in dismay, Relon acknowledges and both boys get to work. From nine in the morning until seven in the afternoon, they work.
By the time it hits seven, they finish. Both now sitting on chairs they got from a storage area looking at their work.
"Phew. That took a while but I'm glad that's done. Would have taken way longer with just me. Thanks, buddy."
Relon is unresponsive looking around from his seat.
"I looks just like it did all those years ago. Except for the cords in the air and floor." A smile graces his face.
"Yeah. The lobby is now fixed as well as the auditorium. Aside from a few other smaller area, the two out of three important ones are fixed."
"What's the third?"
"The bathrooms obviously!" He laughs.
"You're joking."
"Nope! With you here, we're the Mario brothers, haha!"
"Please don't drag me into that. I now a few things about circuits and whatnot but I don't know squat about plumbing."
"Eh, I'll figure it out another day." Miguel says grabbing his bookbags as they both exit to look up at the night sky.
"Whoa..." Relon murmurs.
"Relon." Miguel says softly, his eyes to the sky.
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for the help today. I know you don't like the idea of being here but I don't want to see the last fragment of our childhood fade away. I want to cling to it just like the three of us do our dream to one day see idols again."
"Aniki..."
"The whole of Numazu still supports idols. The underground mall shows that as do the rioting. The government buried the only stadium here and I'm not about to let it rot. I refuse to let those scumbags win so easily without anyone noticing." He clenches a fist.
"... Fine." Relon says, Miguel looks to him. "Your plan from the start to convince me to help, right? I don't want to see our dream die either. So for now, I'll stop berating you on going here. Just be careful.""
"Haha! I knew you'd come around! This dream! Our dream! The city's dream! Japan's dream is right behind us. I ain't letting it go to waste. Not over my dead body!" He extends his fist.
"Yeah. I'm with you there." They fist bump setting off for home.
You-chan, the civilians here and everywhere in Japan, those shops, the stadium, and even the rebel idols. Everything revolves around idols and if there's something that we can do to help... Then, is it better to act than to wait...?
