《The Land of Stories: The Adventure Continues》The Wand of Wonderment and a Griffins Feather

Carrie walked through the portal and found herself in the middle of a colosseum made of dirt and vines. She hid behind a boulder and looked around the room. She saw all of the royals she had only read about in books being held against the walls by vines and her father Conner as well. She saw her grandmother with a little baby in a cage in the corner and her Aunt Alex facing off with Ezmia in the center of the colosseum.
"How am I going to get that wand?" Carrie said to herself. She then saw Alex throw the wand on the ground near where Carrie was hiding. "Well, that was easy."
Even though Carrie now had a chance to grab the wand and go, she didn't want to change this time period in any way. She wasn't sure if the wand was going to be used again.
The Enchantresses laugh filled the coliseum as she watched Alex toss the wand on the ground.
"You stupid girl!" She said. "You must have a death wish!"
Carrie watched as Alex apologized in front of everyone to the Enchantress. Carrie thought that maybe at one moment she would be able to use her newly found powers, as she was really excited to use them. After Alex apologized to the Enchantress, the whole coliseum went silent. Suddenly the Enchantress started to laugh a lot harder than before and pointed her finger at Alex getting ready to strike. This was Carrie's chance, she stood up from her hiding place and just as she was about to strike the Enchantress with her magic, she noticed that the Enchantress did nothing to Alex. She tried again and still nothing happened.
The Enchantress collapsed on the floor and all the color from her hair and face faded. She was getting weaker and weaker.
"No!" She screamed. "No, this is impossible!"
Alex then turned her back on her and released her brother from the vines. As her back was turned, Carrie saw the Enchantress reaching for the wand. Carrie reached for the wand before she could grab it and the wand flew right into her hands. The Enchantress looked in the direction the wand went and saw Carrie holding it.
"You!" She said while holding her wrinkly hand out to Carrie. "I don't know who you are, but I will have my revenge, just wait and see."

Before anyone noticed that Carrie had taken the wand, she took out her rose and vial of unicorn hair and elf leaf and returned back to her own time. There she found Alex who was reading three spell books at the same time.
"Aunt Alex I got the wand without anyone noticing it was gone!" Carrie said and walked over to her.
"That's great Carrie!" Alex said.
"Has anyone else returned?" Carrie asked.
"Not yet," Alex said. "I was just thinking, we may be outnumbered, Magic wise. Last time I thought I defeated the Enchantress, but apparently I didn't. Between you, Annabelle, Allyson and I, we may not be enough. We may need one more person."
"Do you have any ideas?"
"I think I have one. Follow me."
Carrie followed Alex to another part of the castle to a room with a pair of double doors. She opened the double doors and inside the walls were covered in vines and there was a desk made of glass in the back of the room and not only were the walls covered in vines they were also shelves holding many books and vials of potions and ingredients.
"Wow, is this your office?" Carrie asked as she looked around in awe.
"Yes, it is," Alex said. "It doesn't look any different in this time."
"Where's Gabriel, Jake, Allyson and Annabelle?"
"The boys and Allyson are in the training arena, and Annabelle is with her kids and practicing her magic. Here it is." Alex said and grabbed a vial with a brown feather in it.
"What is that?"
"A griffin feather," Alex said. "They went extinct a long time ago, but I have a feeling we might run into someone that be able to help us with this."
Alex grabbed two other vials. One of the unicorn hair and elf leaf she duplicated them so they could have a way to come back, she also grabbed a red rose from the vase that was on the desk and put them both into Carrie's backpack. She put the feather, the hair, and leaf in the middle of the room and the vials magically lifted into the air and created a portal.
Alex and Carrie walked through and they appeared in the middle of a field full of beautiful majestic unicorns. Carrie jumped back a little in fright as a griffin flew close to them. Carrie ran through the field and a huge golden castle came into view. Carrie got teary-eyed just at the sight of it.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Alex said as she walked next to Carrie.
"It's amazing. How were we not told about this? How did I not discover this sooner?" Carrie said.
"I guess your parents didn't want you to know," Alex said. "Let's go find, someone who can help us."
Alex and Carrie walked through the bright grassy field and towards the golden castle. On the steps was a young girl about 14 years old. She wore a sky blue pantsuit with an overskirt and she had her long dark brown hair in a side braid and she wore a headband made of white flowers. She was sitting on the steps writing in a brown leather journal. She then noticed Carrie and Alex and closed her book and stood up.
"Hello, I'm Brystal. How can I help you?" She said and walked over to them.
"Hi, I'm Alex and this is Carrie," Alex said. "We've come to ask you a favor."
"Ok, let's talk in my office," Brystal said.
"We don't have time. Our family is in danger and we need your help." Carrie said.
"What's going on?" Brystal asked.
"This is going to seem strange, but we're from the future and we need more magic to help us. Who we're up against is very powerful." Alex said.
"You're from the future?!" Brystal said and smiled. "Oh my goodness! That's amazing!!"
"Yes, we are and it is," Carrie said. "We're in a really big hurry. I don't know how much time we have left. I've just learned magic, I'm scared, I've never in a situation like this before and my father may be dead. Can you help us?"
"Of course I will," Brystal said. "Anything to help."
"Could your friends help us as well?" Alex asked.
"I wish they could, but they are on a tour around the kingdoms. I was actually just about to join them. Good thing you caught me when you did. I would have been gone."
"This is amazing, thank you," Carrie said and gave her a big hug. Brystal smiled and hugged her back.
"I have one condition. You must not tell me anything about my future. It could mess up everything." Brystal said.
"We understand the rules," Alex said. "We'll get you back before you find out anything about the future. But you may find out one thing."
"We can't change the timeline, so if I do, you must erase my memory," Brystal said.
"We promise," Alex said. "Let's go. We don't have much time."
"This sounds very urgent, let's go," Brystal said. Alex took the ingredients out of Carrie's backpack and put them on the ground. A portal then appeared and they walked through back into Alex's office.
"Hopefully everyone's back by now. Let's get back to the library." Carrie said and they ran to the library. Inside they found Matthew, Elizabeth, and Nathaniel were laying out the ingredients they had collected on the table. "Guys! Your back!"
Carrie ran up to her siblings and gave them a huge hug and they hugged her back.
"Did you get the wand?" Matthew asked. Carrie reached into her backpack and pulled out the wand.
"That's my sister! Great job!" Elizabeth said and gave her a high five.
"Yeah, it wasn't as hard as I thought too," Carrie said. "Oh and this is Brystal, she's going to help us."
"It's nice to meet you Brystal." Elizabeth said. "Guys, this is Nathaniel. I met him while collecting the branch, he's agreed to help us."
"That's amazing! Thank you." Carrie said. "Have the kids returned?"
"No, not yet. We're getting worried." Matthew said.
"We'll wait a few more minutes and hopefully they'll show up by then. If not, I'll try to find a way to reach them." Alex said. Just then, Conner, Allyson, and Annabelle ran into the room.
"Have you guys gotten the ingredients? Allyson asked.
"Yes we have, we're just waiting for the kids," Matthew said.
"Gabriel and Jake went to the Fairytale world an hour ago to find out if anything had changed but they haven't returned," Annabelle said.
Matthew leaned against the table and rubbed his eyes.
"Come on kids. Please get here quickly, because I want to go home." Matthew said to himself.
