Brighton and Charlie walked down the stairs of Rapunzels tower. Brighton carefully peeked out the door to make sure no one was there and opened the door fully and they walked outside.
"Our parents must be worried sick about us," Charlie said. "We've been hiding way too long, and who knows what's happened to Ayden."
"Yeah, we've really got to hurry. We can't waste time anymore and I wonder where Aiden went. We don't even know where we are." Brighton said.
"Do you hear that?" Charlie said. "It sounds like a horse galloping."
"Quick behind the tree," Brighton said and pushed Charlie behind one of the trees. A beige colored horse and a women with long curly blonde hair rode into the clearing. She wore black leggings, knee-high black boots, and a maroon-colored sweater. She looked at a piece of paper that was posted on a tree and pulled it off and ripped it into shreds.
"Maybe she can help us," Charlie said and walked out from behind the tree before Brighton could grab her. "Excuse me miss?"
The woman turned her head in Charlie's direction and quickly put her hand over her sword. She was ready to pull it out at any second.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
"We were wondering if you've seen our cousin. We were being chased by the wolves and we lost him." Charlie said.
"Oh, then say goodbye to your cousin. The wolves probably are digesting him as we speak."
"What?" Charlie yelled.
"Shhh!" The woman said and placed her hand over Charlie's mouth. "These are dangerous woods, you have to be very quiet."
"I don't believe my cousin is dead. Are you sure you haven't seen a little boy? Or is there any place where he could hide?" Charlie asked.
"Well, there's a cave near here that he may be hiding in. It's just between these trees. Just go straight." The woman said. "Just beware of the witches. Some of them like the taste of children."
"We will, thank you so much. What's your name?" Brighton asked as he walked out from behind the tree and next to Charlie.
"You guys don't know who I am?"
"No." Charlie and Brighton said in unison.
"Then I won't tell you. You may reveal where I am to people." She said and rode off into the woods.
"She's strange," Brighton said.
"Let's go find Ayden," Charlie said.
Charlie and Brighton walked into the forest and found a cave opening. Surrounding the cave, were plants and one of the bushes was covered in blood.
"Charlie look at this bush," Brighton said. "You don't think it's...Ayden do you?"
"I pray it's not. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to him. Plus I don't know how we'll tell uncle Matt." Charlie said. Brighton picked up a long stick and held it tightly as he was ready to strike anyone in that cave.
"Follow closely," Brighton said.
"What are you going to do with that stick? Whack them with it?" Charlie asked.
"Yes," Brighton said and rolled his eyes. They slowly walked in and they heard silent sobs that echoed throughout the cave. Brighton jumped and let go of the stick and ran behind Charlie for protection.
"Oh, my hero," Charlie said. They walked deeper into the cave and found the source of the cries. Aiden was sitting up against the cave wall sobbing.

"Ayden!" Brighton and Charlie said and ran up to him. Ayden turned around and smiled the biggest smile. His clothes were torn and he was huge scratches on his arms on legs. He slowly stood up and his cousins gave him the biggest hug they had ever given him.
"Ouch!" Ayden cried.
"What happened to you?" Brighton said.
"The wolves attacked me," Ayden said through tears. "I tried to fight them off, but I passed out from fear. I woke up and I saw a light. I thought I was dead, but when I fully woke up I was in someone's cottage and I was on fire! I quickly put out the fire on my body and I ran out of the cottage as fast as I could. I found this cave and I've been here since. Where have you guys been?"
"We were in Rapunzel's tower, waiting for you. We've been looking for you for the past hour. We've got to get going. Our parents probably already have their ingredients, and are worried sick about us."
"We should," Ayden said and tried to walk, but leaned over in pain and held his leg.
"Ayden your hurt. Maybe we should head back to Camelot." Charlie said and held him up.
"No, I'm fine. Let's be the book." Ayden said. Charlie nodded and took the elf leaf, unicorn hair and their grandfather's story about their father and set them on the ground. The ingredients floated up into the air and a portal appeared. They walked inside and were off to their last destination.
......................
In New York City 2017, the city of dreams now looked like the city of nightmares. The skyscrapers were covered in vines covered in thorns and the streets were covered with bodies of pirates, winkies and card soldiers. All of Conner's characters and their friends from the fairytale world were on liberty island waiting for Alex and Conner to return.
Bree Campbell was especially anxious as she overlooked the city from the edge of the island. Charlotte then walked up to her.
"Do you think everything is ok? It's been a while." Bree said.
"I have confidence in Conner. If there's anyone who can calm Alex down, it's him." Charlotte said. "So do you want to catch me up on a few things?"
"Sure."
"Why is King Arthur here?" Charlotte asked. "Conner told me all of the stories they traveled through and he wasn't one of them."
"I think that's Alex's boyfriend," Bree said. "I overheard him and Conner talking during the battle."
"Oh, and what about the boy that got shot protecting Alex?" Charlotte asked.
"That's Alex's first boyfriend. No one was really a big fan of him. During the war between the Fairytale World and the Grand Armee, he gave up our secret hiding spot and almost got us all killed."
"Wow, I've missed a lot. I never knew Alex had a boyfriend. Let alone two." Charlotte said.
"Yeah. I don't know anything else though. I bet Conner already has a girlfriend back in the Fairytale World." Bree said.
"I doubt that. I see the way he looks at you. I've never seen his face get that red as when you're around."
"Yeah he claims its due to his sodium allergy," Bree said and they both laughed. There was then a bright flash of light and Alex and Conner appeared. Everyone got their weapons out in order to protect themselves just in case.

"I'm fine!" Alex said. "The curse is gone."
Everyone cheered and Arthur squeezed through the crowd and gave Alex the biggest hug.
"I'm so glad you're alright," Arthur said and kissed her passionately.
"I'm fine now," Alex said and smiled at him. Bree walked over to Conner and punched him in the shoulder.
"Ow!" Conner said and held his shoulder. "What was that for?"
"You scared the living daylights out of me!" Bree said and a small smile appeared on her face. "But I'm glad your safe."
Bree gave Conner the biggest hug and he hugged her back. They separated and looked at all of their friends.
"We did it. We saved the Otherworld and the Fairytale World!" Conner announced. Everyone cheered and gave each other high fives and hugs.
"Wait a minute. We've forgotten something." Bree said.
"What?" Conner asked.
"The portal in the library. We can't just leave it there."
"She's right. I have an idea of how to hide it." Alex said and snapped her fingers. A magenta-colored book appeared in her hands and it had the title The Land of Stories Volume 2. "We'll put the portal into this book."
"That's great. We definitely don't want people coming into the Fairytale World." Conner said.
"I'll be right back," Alex said.
She snapped her fingers and she then appeared in front of the portal in the Rose Main Reading Room. She opened the book and placed it on the floor. Alex waved her hands and the portal shrank and she moved the portal into the book. The pages of the book glowed and Alex closed the book and picked it up. Before she could snap her fingers to head back to Liberty Island, she heard footsteps.
"Who's there?" Alex said and scanned the room. Three figures then appeared from behind the bookcase. "Who are you three?"
"My names Charlie, and these are my cousins. Brighton and Ayden." Charlie said as they walked out from behind the bookcase and helped Ayden walk around and keep standing.
"Whatever you just saw, it's not what you think," Alex said and extended her arm towards them.
"Aunt Alex please don't strike us!" Brighton said and shielded his face.
"Wait how do you know my name? Why did you call me Aunt Alex?"
"We're from the future and we really need that book." Brighton said.
"How do I know you're telling the truth? You could be witches in disguise."
"We're not. We are the grandchildren of Conner and Bree Bailey. The Fairytale World is in trouble and we were instructed by you to retrieve that book." Charlie said.
"You were?" Alex said. "Just out of curiosity, what happens to me? In the future?"
"We actually don't know too much about you. We weren't told about the Fairytale World and your real lives until recently." Charlie said. "But from what we've seen is that you are married to Arthur and you have two girls and live in Camelot. Oh, and you're the Fairy Godmother. Please, can you give us the book? I need to save my grandfather."
"Strangely, I believe you. But promise you'll put it in a safe place once you're done with it." Alex said.
"We promise." Brighton said. Alex nodded and handed Charlie the book.
"What has happened to you?" Alex asked Ayden who was still being held up by his cousins.
"I was attacked by wolves and set on fire." Ayden said.
"Can you heal him?" Charlie asked.
"Of course I can." Alex said and smiled. She waved her hands over his injuries and they instantly were healed. Ayden stood up straight and jumped around.
"Thank you so much!" Ayden said and gave Alex a big hug.
"Your welcome. Now go, go save your family." Alex said. "Good luck."
"Thank you so much." Charlie said. She took out the elf leaf, the unicorn hair and the rose from Camelot and put them on the ground. The portal then appeared and the three cousins waved goodbye to Alex and they walked through.
They walked out the other end of the portal and found their parents, Alex, Conner, Brystal, Nathaniel, Allyson, Annabelle, and Jake and Gabriel, who had just returned from the Fairytale world, in the library surrounding the table. Carrie turned around and she smiled.
"Kids!" She said and went and gave them a hug. Matthew and Elizabeth joined in the hug.
"We were so worried about you!" Elizabeth said and kissed Charlie all over.
"We're so glad you guys are ok." Matthew said and held on to Ayden tightly.
"We had a few complications, but we got the page and the book." Charlie said holding up the book.
"We did it!" Elizabeth said. "We can save our Dad and the world now."
"So what do we do with these items? What are they supposed to do?" Matthew asked.
"The letter from future me says that, when they are put together and when a magic spark from new magic touches the ingredients and the book at the same time the portal inside of the book will transport those villains into the book and they'll be stuck there." Alex said.
"Then after I'm guessing we're going to burn the book." Gabriel said.
"I wasn't planning on doing that but that may be the best option." Alex said. "Put the items into a bag and let's go. We can't waste any more time."
Conner got the Land of Stories book off of the bookshelf and put it on the ground, he opened it and a bright beam of light shot out of it.
"Kids we want you to stay here." Carrie said. "This could be dangerous and we don't want anything to happen to you."
"But Aunt Carrie," Charlie whined.
"No Charlie, I agree with Carrie. You're staying here, where it's safe." Elizabeth said.
"But mom Aunt Alex sent the letter to me," Charlie said. "Maybe I'm the one who's supposed to cast it."
"That was a mistake. I let you look for the items, but I'm not letting you near this battle."
"But,"
"No Charlie and that's final," Elizabeth said and took the book from her daughter and reached into the backpack and grabbed the page from the journal. She put them into an empty bag along with the other items.
"Ok let's go," Annabelle said.
"Wait can we go say goodbye to our mother?" Carrie asked.
"Yes, but be quick," Alex said. Carrie, Elizabeth, and Matthew walked down the hall into a bedroom. Lying peacefully on the bed was Bree and the siblings walked next to the bed.
"Hi, Mom," Carrie said. "This mess is almost over. We're going to save Dad and bring him back."
"We're going to save you. I don't want to live without you again." Matthew said.
"We need you back mom. We'll be back in no time." Elizabeth said. "Let's go save our Dad."
