《Everybody's a Killer if You Push 'Em Far Enough • Ivy Wheeler》Chapter 14

After getting dragged away from Caroline's hospital room since it was now an active crime scene, Jake and Ivy followed Devon back to his room.
"Where's Lexi?" Jake questioned, rubbing the back of his neck.
"She had to stay with her sister." Devon explained, taking a seat on the bed in the center of the room.
Ivy folded her arms over her chest. "I was wondering why the air smelt so clean."
Jake rolled his eyes.
"So, now what?" He questioned, beginning pace back and forth.
"What do you mean?" She went on, noticing the tension between him and Devon as they both avoided each other's eyes.
"What do we do about Chucky?" He put forth, turning to his sister. "We can just let him run around a hospital."
Ivy sighed.
"Especially not now, since his mom is onto us." She said, pointing to Devon.
"Yeah.. sorry about that." He muttered, voice quivering slightly.
Clearly, he was still shocked from the fact that a doll was the one murdering everyone.
Jake paused. "Do you think Lexi's parents brought Chucky to the new room with them?"
Ivy nodded. "Well, yeah? Caroline loves him, they wouldn't just leave her doll with the dead body."
Devon stood up. "Then we need to talk to Lexi."
She groaned. "Why?"
The two boys turned to her.
"She can tell us where Chucky is." Jake said, frowning.
"Fine." Ivy agreed. "But only because i'd rather not have a knife in my stomach."
He gestured towards the door. "Let's go then."
* * *
Jake, Ivy and Devon were all standing outside Caroline's new hospital room, waiting for Lexi to tell them where Chucky was.
"I hate this." Ivy muttered, chewing at her lip.
Jake sighed. "Can't you just pretend to stand her for five minutes?"
She shook her head. "Nope."
Just then, the door swung open.
"Follow me!" She shouted, rushing past them.
Jake and Devon hurried after her.
Ivy hesitated, glancing back towards the waiting room. "I think I'll just-"
"Ivy!" Jake yelled, demanding that she followed them.
She rolled her eyes.
"Fine."

The four teenagers went into the basement.
"This way." Lexi whispered, leading the group down a poorly-lit hall.
Thudding echoed through the building, startling them.
"This was a fantastic idea." Ivy said sarcastically.
They glared at her.
"Come on." Blondie muttered, continuing to boss them around.
Jake shifted towards Devon as the noises got louder.
"Do you even know where you're going?" Ivy questioned, nudging Lexi's arm.
"Yes." She answered, confidently.
"Good, because I'm not getting trapped down here with you."
Finally, a few seconds later, they made it to a room with some sort of dumpster in it.
"Wow, she led us to a trash can." Ivy went on, turning to the blonde. "Is this your way of self-reflecting?"

Lexi clenched her jaw. "Bitch."
"Cunt."
"Guys." Devon interrupted, waving them over to the staircase where he and Jake were standing. "Look."
Ivy hurried over to the railing.
The dumpster was filled with used medical equipment.
Lexi shuddered beside her. "What are the chances, he burned to death?"
No one responded.
"Okay." She sighed, walking down the stairs.
Once they moved closer, more supplies was thrown into the bin.
Lexi scoffed, disgusted by the scene before her.
Ivy spotted a sharp object on an old shelf and picked it up.
"Hell no." Lexi said, getting everyones attention. "This is disgusting."
Jake stepped closer to the dumpster. "We have to be sure."
Devon frowned. "I don't know what's worse, death by a butcher knife, or a used needle."
Ivy grimaced, joining them at the edge. "Definitely a used needle.."
Jake sighed. "I'll do it."
She yanked him back. "You'll do what?"
"We're in this together." Lexi put forth, making Ivy cringe.
"Together." Devon repeated, grinning slightly.
"Sure." Ivy agreed, rolling her eyes for the hundredth time. "Let's just get this over with."
Everyone fell silent.
"Maybe we.. wait for him to come for us?" Devon suggested. "I mean, he can't stay down there forever."
"He can't?" Lexi questioned. "What exactly are the rules for supernaturally possessed dolls?"
Ivy shrugged.
"Hey, guys. I have an idea." Jake said, walking towards a row of broomsticks.
"I'll get him out." He went on, grabbing one.
"You better be joking." Ivy argued, shaking her head.
"Lexi, here." He tossed her a pair of gloves. "Devon and Ivy.. keep watch."
"Uh-uh, no, absolutely not." Blondie muttered. "There's like seven diseases to Tuesday in there."
Jake frowned. "Did you not just say "together"?"
She handed the gloves to Ivy. "You do it."
"Alright," Ivy breathed out. "Pussy."
"Fine." Lexi said, snatching the gloves back from her.
Jake placed a bucket down on the floor. "Just follow my lead."
He stepped up and held the broom in the air, ready to beat the shit out of some medical waste.
"This is the worst idea we've ever had." Ivy pointed out.
"Shut the fuck up." Lexi expressed, rolling her eyes.
Jake held up his hand for blondie to see. "One.. two.. three, go!"
They both leaned over, rifling through the pile of trash.
Lexi screamed the whole time.
"Over there!" Devon yelled, gesturing towards the area he missed. "Jake, over there."
Jake continued to stab the end of the broom into the pile of waste.
Ivy wiped a hand down her face. "We're gonna die."
Suddenly, the bucket beneath Jake's feet fell over, causing him to fall face-first into the bin.
Devon ran over and grabbed him.
They tumbled to the floor.

Lexi ignored them and continued digging.
Jake and Devon shared a moment on the floor, staring at each other.
Ivy held back a smile, trying not to ruin it for her brother.
Devon snapped out of it and helped Jake to his feet.
Lexi grunted, stumbling backwards, flailing in disgust. "So gross!"
Ivy walked over to one of the shelves and picked up two large bottles of hand sanitizer.
"Gimme!" Blondie squealed, grabbing one out of her hand.
She handed the other to her brother and sighed.
"That was fun."
* * *
A day has passed.
Mostly everyone from Lexi's party was out of the hospital now.. well, except for Oliver of course.
The only pain-staking thing they had to do today was school.
"A few days ago, you were probably feeling, denial. Thats normal." Mrs. Fairchild went on, walking back and forth in the front of the classroom.
Ivy was sitting with Jake at their usual lab table.
Devon was alone, since his lab partner was no longer on this plain.
And Lexi was beside her boyfriend, Junior.
"All of this is so much to take in." She continued. "At this point you might be feeling, pain and guilt."
Jake flinched at her words.
Of course he was feeling guilty.
It was his fucking doll.
"That's normal." Fairchild stated. "Your feelings are valid and expected. Everyone will heal at their own speed.. and.. if you need anyone to talk to, please know my door is always open for you guys."
Ivy shifted in her seat.
The room felt so empty without Oliver.
She almost.. missed his revolting presence.
Normally, by now, Ivy would have been straddling him on the floor with a piece of a broken test tube held up to his throat.
"I know you probably think i'm just the biology teacher but, feelings do start on the molecular level." Mrs. Fairchild said, smiling sympathetically.
Ivy rolled her eyes.
"Okay, let's pick back up where we left off.. chapter three. Biotic and a-biotic factors, what are living and non-living things in life." She put forth, snapping everyone back into the reality of school.
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
Fairchild went to open it.
It was the police..
She stiffened. "Why don't you guys get started on the chapter questions, i'll be back in just a minute."
The teacher walked out.
Everyone immediately went to their friends.
Lexi and Devon joined Jake and Ivy at their table.
They huddled together.
"How does he even move around so fast?" Blondie questioned, her eyebrows furrowed. "He's a freaking doll."
Ivy frowned, positioning herself onto of the desk. "Why does it matter?"
"Maybe he left Hackensack?" Jake put forth, trying to be positive for once.
"No." Devon argued. "He's a psychopathic doll back in his home town on a mission. He's not leaving."
Ivy and Jake noticed their eavesdropping cousin trying to listen in.
"What do we do about Junior?" Jake asked, lowering his voice.
They looked back at him.
"We should tell him." Devon suggested.
"Fuck no." Ivy said, shaking her head.
"Yeah, no, we cant bring him into this. He doesn't have the imagination." Lexi said, attempting to agree with Ivy. "It's just the four of us."
Jake breathed out a sigh. "Guys, we have to think. No ones reported any weird shit since the hospital so he must be itching to kill by now."
Devon nodded.
"Maybe we're going about this the wrong way.." Lexi began. "Maybe it's not where he's going next, it's-"
"Who." Ivy finished for her.
"Devon." Jake said, turning to him. "You know serial killers better than anyone. What're you thinking?"
He looked down. "Well.. most of the time its opportunity, but sometimes they fixate on a certain kind of-"
"What are you guys talking about?" Junior said, interrupting the conversation.
Ivy groaned.
"Nothing." Lexi said, trying to get him to leave.
He nodded. "Uh, have you guys seen West World?"
They stared at him, unimpressed.
"It's a crazy theme park with these hot robots, and you can do anything you want to them it's.. really cool."
Ivy put her hands over her face.
"No, I haven't." Devon replied, shaking his head. "Been a little busy."
It went silent again.
God, this kid just doesn't give up.
He does realize that more important things are going on right?
Junior turned to Lexi.
"I haven't really had time for that this week." She said softly, trying not to sound like a bitch.
Before anyone else could talk, Mrs. Fairchild walked back into the room. "Guys, can we get to work please? Less chat, more science."
Everyone hurried back to their seats.
She turned to Ivy who was still seated ontop of the lab table.
"Seriously?"
Ivy grinned slightly and slid back into her chair. "My bad."
"Alright, who can give an example of one of the biotic factors?" She said, looking over at blondie. "Lexi?"
She ignored the questioned.
"No?" Fairchild breathed out, discouraged.
Suddenly, Jake's phone went off.
Ivy looked down at hers to see if there was a notification but.. there wasn't.
Her brother read it then slowly lowered his arm.
"What is it?" Ivy whispered, noticing his sudden discomfort.
He didn't acknowledge the question.
She attempted to read it from where she was sitting but he quickly hid it and raised his hand.
Devon also raised his hand.
"Can I go to the bathroom?" They said in unison, startling each other.
Mrs. Fairchild turned around and sighed. "I guess."
Jake practically fell out of his seat trying to race over to the door.
Ivy thought Devon might've texted him to meet in the hall, but Jake's reaction didn't match up for that type of situation.
You'd think he would've been excited.
Instead, he looked.. scared.
Ivy glanced over at Lexi who was already looking her way.
She looked equally as confused.
Ivy slumped in her chair, eyebrows furrowed.
She was debating going after her brother, but if he and Devon really were meeting up then that would just ruin things.
Jake really needed him right now.
More then ever..
Ivy wasn't enough anymore.

Mechanical Friend The wonders of every therapy machines
Enter the attention of the spiritual world of having a car and what it means when it is seen more than just a car. It is a lot of things. Cars are more than just a mode of transportation to get from point A to point B. Ever since I was a kid and grew up with my family driving in our 84 Buick Regal, I knew I had some sort of special understanding with these vehicles. I know many of you out there have communicated with your vehicles in one fashion or another, but with me personally, Ive always understood and heard the soul of these classic cars. Its made me feel more empathy and understanding of some of the situations they get in, but also understand the joy they feel when they are with whom they call their road partners. When we go to car shows or dealerships, it's mainly for the cars. We don't know what we want or how old we want the car to be. There is a mechanical friend for each of us to learn more about their scientific background. This takes the reader far beyond the facts of what the car breed is. Everything has a spirituality side of it. A Tao; The Tao or Dao is a Chinese word signifying the "way", "path", "route", "road" or sometimes more loosely "doctrine" of cars. If we are looking for a classic car tht we dream of then the message is "Having an old American car is that it doesn't have to be very pretty. It's a satisfactory pleasure of building it and getting together to talk about the American classic, muscle car or not, it's how you connect with others into a community that holds together community. It is much safer to be riding around in a standard classic car from the 60s an 70s because you are aware of your responsibility driving it plus if you're hit, the armor protecting you is the car itself with no huge lethal damage to the car or yourself" Others' tastes are going to be different and unusual.but it is best to find what cars are going to say when we bond with them in every day in all the ways possible. This book teaches how to connect with the vehicle and how to detect gender energies within the machine and waht the machine can do for you.
