《Poems》Calligraphy

I write the letters

On the blank paper

And watch as they transform

Into something more

Only twenty-six letters

Make up the alphabet

But the order in which

They get placed

Writes a story

I place my pencil down

And glide across the paper

The lines form letters

And the letters form words

Those words have a life

That breathe and make up the world

Of my own creation

Now I take that piece of paper

And fold it in half

The world from the words' eyes

Is like a wave crashing down

Wiping away what makes them, them

They scurry off the page

Running for their made up lives

From the roaring monster that looms over them

The wave slams down

Trapping words in its claws

Goodbye

They scream some more

As the monster chases them

Away from the world they know

And what keeps them alive

Without the piece of paper

They simply blow in the wind

And all is calm again
