I am from moving trucks and new places

From new beginnings and left behind friends

I am from ballet and tap dance

Smiles and laughter

And tons of sugary sweets

I am from books and different worlds

From anime and fandoms and fangirling

I am from tv shows and movies and music

From writing and volleyball and magic

I am from crazy weirdos that I call friends

(For some whacked up reason)

Though I don't know what I'd do without them

I am from the unknown future

And trying to go with the flow

While battling anxiety and nervousness

I am from wanting to see

The seven ancient wonders of the world

And to experience the four elements of Earth

I am from my fears and doubts

My ups and downs and inside outs

I am from my quotes and random knowledge

Though I can never remember

What I ate for dinner the night before

I am from new experiences

Even with battling my fear of the unknown

I am from always wanting to be better

Than those who have not been

I am from always wanting to be truly me

(Unless I can be a mermaid
