Elissa pov*

The life is back to normal now or may I say almost normal. Lucas still has nightmare from time to time but other than that he is so strong he didn't lost his innocence or his joy and I am so grateful about that. Adrian still being treated for his shoulder since four weeks now and there is a great improvement.

But the only thing is, he is like changed, I don't how to explain it but something in him was not the same anymore. He of course came to see us and spend a great time with his son but with me is another question. Sometimes I found him looking at me with sad eyes but he diverted his eyes once I look at him. He behaved like he did everything to not disturb me, to avoid me. He didn't even try to make any physical contact with me. Maybe he is tired of asking for forgiveness, if that is the case so I am very disappointed how could he give up so fast. I don't deserve for him to fight more for me?

I really need to know where we stand, after what happened with Lucas everything has changed. I am convinced that I can't live without him, the life is so short that I don't want to live with regrets but in the same time I have my pride I can't just fall in his arms without any effort from him. I know you will tell me that he did do a lot of efforts to ask for my forgiveness but I am eager for more. Especially since the accident his behaviour was completely different I am not sure if he wants me anymore.

Argghh I will become crazy with all these thoughts.

Comfortably seating in my couch with a warm cup of tea, cuddling with my son in front of The Lion King, I heard someone trying to break my door. I run to open

"Why you don't pick your phone for God sake" Hailey yelled at me

"It's on silent what happened?" I replied

Seeing Lucas on the couch she grabbed my arm pulling me towards the room and closed the door

"I'm not going to turn around the pot because we don't have time Adrian is leaving"

"Leaving? What do you mean?"

"Leaving like going somewhere far from here, like leaving us, like definitely" She said impatiently

I couldn't speak for a moment trying to get what she said

"But...why?" I end up asking

"Because he is an idiot" Hailey said with a huff

I sat on the edge of the bed, not believing it. So he decided to give up on me, on us. So that's the reason of his weird behaviour with us two nights ago. I saw tears in his eyes when he hugged Lucas longer than usual.

"It's his choice. What do you want me to do" I replied softly I didn't have any strength in me anymore

"What I want you to do are you asking me for real!" She barked

She didn't let me the time to speak

"Listen and listen well because I am so tired of you two! How long will you play at cat and mouse? Hein!?"

"I am not playing" I replied

"Of course you do. Look at me Eli" She said kneeling on front of me

"Do you still love him?"

I gave her the look Do you really need to ask

"In this case go after him, fight for your love; I know it's not you who has to do it but Adrian is convinced that you don't want him anymore and his presence is making you sad so he decided to leave he is so in love with you that he prefers to let another man make you happy"

"That what he said?" I asked. She nodded. His belief on our love is so weak I thought.

"Let your pride aside Eli and go bring him back, for you, for your son, for your happiness"

I stared at her, debating with myself.

"Don't be stubborn, if he lost hope give it to him you are the one able to do this.... go" Hailey said making me stand by pulling my hand.

Yes I have to do it lets us reunite again, be a family and start a best future. After some seconds I nodded eagerly, Hailey let out a deep breath and smiled

"Where is he" I asked

"The airport he has a flight to Barcelona ... You still have an hour and half" She replied checking her watch

I grabbed my coat and started to walk when I heard

"Hey take this" Hailey said throwing the keys of her car

"Thanks and take care of Lucas" I said behind my shoulder

"Of course I will"

By chance the road was empty I reached there 30 minutes later. I run like a crazy looking everywhere when I heard someone calling me. It was Adrian's driver. We exchanged looks in silent before he said

"Follow me" After endless minutes I saw him, I recognised his back, his broad shoulders moulded in a white simple shirt. Seeing him waiting for his turn calmly bring up in me such rage that I run to him I grabbed his shoulder making him turn towards me. Before he could recognise me I gave him a hard slap. I heard gasps from the other passengers but I didn't care I could only see him no someone else.

"Elissa..."

"Elissa" I mimicked him. He looked at me like I had two heads

I pulled him from the queue and pushed him in a corner we stared at each other until I spoke

"So you are doing it again" I said with my arms crossed on my chest

He narrowed his eyes at me.

"What do you lost your tongue... I didn't know you are a coward"

"What..."I didn't let him finish

"You are leaving us alone again, you abandon us again. I thought you learnt your lesson but I was wrong"

"I don't... it's just I want you to be happy"

"You really don't understand... In addition to being a coward you are also an idiot! You really thought that I can be happy without you hein?!"

"But you said that you don't want me anymore and..."

I stopped him lifting my hand in front his face

"I know what I said but I expected from you to be a fighter, to believe in our love. It's not you who said that you won't ever give up on me or that was a lie too" I asked

"I am sorry, I know you deserve someone better than me" He said looking at the floor

"Oh stop this for God sake; I don't want your apology "I replied. I saw his face broke down like he didn't know what to do anymore. I smiled inwardly; seeing him so lost with his eyes pleading. I decide to end his torture.

"Just kiss me already" I said with a smirk

His expression was so funny, eyes like a saucers, open mouth and trembling hands.

"For how long I have to wait" I added tapping with my foot impatiently

I kept looking at him waiting to feel the warm of his lips on mine again. Once he regained his spirit he caught my face with his two hands and gave me the most powerful kiss he never gave me.

That's what I want, that's where I belong.
