«Don't cheat keep your eyes closed mummy» My son said to his mother

"Ok ok I won't" She replied

I have a surprise for Elissa, so we were walking with her, Lucas and I holding her hands making sure she didn't fall.

I prepared this surprise long time ago but with what happened with Lucas I somehow gave up. The words she said made me realise that she was right I only brought misfortune and sadness to her life so I decided to let her live her life and I was even ready to see her happy with someone else. I still believe that she deserves someone better. Thanks to God she gave me another chance we are together again and I can't be happier. These last 3 weeks were blessing we learnt how to be lovers again, we discovered each other, started learning about each other again and the love and respect I feel for her are just indescribable by words.

"When I will be able to open my eyes" She asked

"Just more seconds, be patient baby" I replied

I let go of her hand s and took the keys from my pant's pocket to open the massive door.

"Now you can honey" I said looking at her to didn't lose any of her first impressions.

She looked around; her eyes went from surprise to miscomprehension

"Why are we here?"

"Do you like it" I wanted to know her opinion before any answer

She looked more and walked towards the living room, then made her way to the huge kitchen and came back to the first place. I was holding my breath waiting for her answer

"Yeah, it's beautiful house... I like it"

I smiled widely and tap to my son's hand, who jumped with joy

"Why are you so enthusiastic?" Eli said surprised

"Because this my love" I said circling my arms on her waist from behind "is our new home"

"New home??"

"Yes babe and I'm happy you like it because I chose it with Lucas, here will start our new life together"

"You mean you want us to live together here?"

"Yes, I know that you want to take it slow but I don't want to be without you anymore I would like to live a real family life with you and my son at my side every morning and evening" I replied with my chin on her shoulder

"What about your house" She said

"This house is not a home for me anymore, a place where you don't want to step, where you have bad memories because of me is not a place I want to keep"

She turned towards me with my arms still around her, caressed my cheek lovingly, rested her forehead on mine and simply said

"Thank you"

"I am the one who have to say thank you for forgiving and giving me another chance" I replied and kissed her

We separated when we heard our son

"Ewww Daddy stop it, it's gross"

"No buddy when you love someone it's not gross and I love your mummy so much, anyway let's visit the rest so you can show your room to mummy?"

"Yes mom you have to see how huge my room is" He said taking Elissa's hand and pulling her to the stairs.

After one week the move in was over, there wasn't much but I wanted Elissa to choose the decoration and have her touch in this new home. I was satisfied with sleeping and waking with my love in my arms every day even if nothing physical happened between us because she still needed time the fact to have her beside me was enough .

Everything was almost perfect. Almost because I wanted to make Elissa my wife again. Maybe I am too fast but I didn't want to wait anymore, so I decided to propose to her on the end of the week. I still had to prepare everything and needed help and the one who can help me in this without spoiling the surprise is my brother in law.

On D-day I sent a huge bouquet of white roses her favourite, a box with a dress and beautiful pair of pumps and a card

"Make me the pleasure of dining with me this evening my love

The driver will pick you at seven.

I love you and can't wait to see you in this dress"

I made myself ready too and waited for her to arrive. My heart was beating so fast, i was so nervous that I couldn't seat. I was pacing back and forth until I saw the car. I let out a deep breath and walked to her.

She was absolutely gorgeous...

"You are so beautiful my love" I said taking her hand in mine bringing her my chest.

"Thank you" She replied softly

I gave her a deep kiss before we made our way to the yacht where the dinner will be served.

"Wow this is so beautiful Adrian" Eli said looking at the table

"I am glad you like it"

We ate our dinner talking and laughing and I somehow forgot about the stress I was feeling. But that didn't last because once we finished and walked to the front of the yacht I started to feel the fear again. She was looking at the stars and I was looking at her. She felt my eyes on her and turned to me and chuckled

"Why are you looking at me like this?"

"Because I can't look somewhere else you are the best view"

"I think this beautiful sky deserve to look at it more than me"

"You are my sky; my star and everything beautiful in my life"

"Oh Adrian stop it"

"What this is the truth...I love you like no one has ever loved and I can't imagine my life without you. I don't know how I managed to spend 5 years of my life without you. I was a great asshole and no matter how many times I ask for your forgiveness it will be enough..."

"Please honey; let's forget about this I don't want to speak about it anymore. I forgive you so forgive yourself too" She cut me and caressed my cheek wither soft hand

"I don't know if I can but the thing I am sure about is I want to grow old with you, to have a lot of babies with you" I said giving her a side smile

She chuckled and gave a light tap on my arm

"But before that" I kneeled and took the little box from my pocket

"Will you be my wife again?"

She gasped and stared at me with wide eyes, after a long seconds she didn't react so I spoke

"Say yes please my love"

She shook her head and made me stood up

"I... I am sorry but...no I can't accept"

My heart broke at her words.

"Why don't you...love me enough" I asked

"No no it's not that... I love you with all my heart don't ever doubt my love for you it's just...I think it's better if we stay like this"

"Like this?" I narrowed my eyes at her

"I mean the marriage is not essential we can live happily without it"

"Why I believe it's not what you really think" I replied

She let out a breath and took her face in her hands, I grabbed them and squeezed them softly

"Please tell me Elissa"

"The divorce was a terrible experience for me so..."

"So you think I will divorce you again? You don't trust me?"

"It's not like that; the life could be unpredictable at times I don't want to take any risk. I prefer to stay free and if something has to happen so it will be simpler"

My eyes began to water, I let go of her hands and turn my face to the sea, this woman, my woman didn't trust me anymore and that all was because of me. I felt her touch on my shoulder so I faced her. She wiped my tears

"Don't be upset with me please it's..."

"I am upset with myself not you" I cut her taking her face in my palms.

"Don't blame yourself if there is a fault it is me...I will do everything to fix it. I won't give up, no matter how long it takes. Don't think I will pressure you no... I will give you faith in marriage and me again. I want everybody to know that you are mine, I want you to bear my name and I want to make vows again and respect them this time. Will you let me try my love?" I asked with hope

"Adrian... please"

"Ok ok don't answer like I said no pressure... I love you so fucking much just remember that"

She nodded and I kissed her like there will be no tomorrow. I took her in my arms and we stared at the sky.

I won't give up I promise even I f I have to try a million times.
