Elissa pov *

I looked at the four men burying the coffin, all around me was dark, people wearing dark, also the sky was dark by clouds. It was a rainy day. But the great darkness was in my heart, my future. I stayed in my place while all the people were leaving, a succession of black umbrellas leaving one after the other. I managed to walk the place where the love of my life, my father's son will rest. How this happened, in a few days my life became upside down. The loneliness I was feeling, the pain, the regrets couldn't be described in words. It's like my life didn't count now, a part of me left and I won't find it again. I fell on my knees taking a handful of fresh earth smelling it... The pain was so intense that I screamed my agony

"Adrian!!!"

At this moment I found myself in a bright place, it's so bright that I couldn't open my eyes. I blinked until my pupils adapt to the light. I felt a hand on my shoulders. I turned my head.

"Leo?" I said

"How are you feeling" He asked

I stared at him for seconds; Erin was just near him looking at me with concern and teary eyes. At this moment everything came back to my mind I started to shake, my breathing has accelerated. I jumped from the bed and felt an intense pain in my arms. The infusion was ripped off my arm, there was blood

"Adrian where is he? Is he fine?" I asked

Two pairs of widened eyes were looking at me. Leo was the first regaining his spirit

"Be careful Eli you hurt yourself"

"I said where is he?... Speak for god sake" I yelled at him

"Adrian is fine please calm down" Leo replied grabbing softly my shoulders

"No... I want to see him" I said looking everywhere

Leo let out a deep breath and Erin spoke for the first time.

"Let me just call a nurse for your arm so you can..."

I didn't let her finish and run to the door

"Where is he" I said walking in the corridors of the hospital searching everywhere like a mad woman. Erin and Leo were following me and I was stopped by Leo who grabbed my arm with force and made me stop.

"Elissa stop for God sake" He shouted, the tone of his voice brought me back to reason

I shook my head in no, my tears falling like a river

"I will take you to him ok" Leo said softly this time wiping my cheeks with his thumbs.

"Please..." I pleaded, I needed to see him, make sure he was fine and still alive.

Leo took my hand and we walked together.

"He is here" Leo said pointing to a room, instantly I run to it opening the door without knocking. There he was on a bed with his chest and left shoulder bandaged. I run to him Hailey was next to him I pushed her in the process, took his face in my hands feeling him, looking at his gorgeous grey eyes which were staring back at me, and the second later I hugged him with so much force that he let out a groan of pain.

I backed away from him.

"I am sorry... so sorry I hurt you"

"It's okay" He said with a weak voice. I looked around me, found his parents and Jeff who was holding Hailey in his arms.

"How are you feeling sweetie" Adrian's mom asked me

"I am fine..."

"We were so worried when you stayed unconscious for all this time" She added

"What do you mean? How long" I asked

"Almost 20 hours"

I gasped how I stayed this long. I laid my eyes on Adrian again he was silent looking at me as well.

"We will let you alone for a moment and take this time to check on Lucas. He is in security in our house" His dad said this time, taking his wife by her shoulder. I felt a squeeze on my shoulder, I turned to find Jeff giving me a reassuring smile, Hailey kissed me and did the same to her brother.

"See you later son" His mom said taking Adrian's good hand in her he smiled weakly at her.

We kept silent for a moment just staring at each other, he tapped the bed gesturing to me to sit by his side and I did.

I wanted to block my tears but they fell anyway.

"Shhh babe" He said

"I was so... so scared..." I managed to say

Adrian held my cheek with his right hand caressing it.

"Shuut... I am okay" He said

"But I saw you losing your blood and I thought... I thought" I couldn't even tell it. He understood me and replied

"I am here baby alive and fine so stop crying please"

I took his hand which was on my cheek and kissed it.

"And you? How are you feeling?" He asked looking at our intertwined hands

"I am relieved now that I am speaking with you" I replied with a smile. His eyes fell on my arms with bloodlines on it.

"Elissa you are bleeding" Adrian said with concern

"Oh it's nothing... it's just the place of the infusion that has ripped off"

"Ripped off?" He asked

"Yeah when...when I woke up I was so worried about you so I jumped from the bed without precaution so..."

"I will call the nurse how can you be so irresponsible" He said scolding me

"It's nothing really..."

He didn't listen to me and pressed the button and a nurse came.

When we were alone again I took my place next to him.

"I am sorry about what happened" Adrian said his face down

"The most important now it's that we are all ok"

"Yes but..."

"Please Adrian I don't want to speak about anything, what happened happened so drop it now. I cut him caressing his hand with the tip of my finger. I was just happy and didn't want to spoiled the mood. There s nothing we can do about what happened. I knew we need to speak about it one day or another but not now.

He nodded.

Later the doctor came to check on him, everything was ok; the surgery was successful he has to rest for weeks and everything will be fine. Thanks to God the bullet didn't touch any vital organ.

I looked at him sleeping peacefully and was glad we are all safe. The pain or may I say the agony I felt in that nightmare was so intense that I am not sure I could bare it in reality.

Being separated from him is not like leaving in an earth where he is not.
