《》Chapter 13: Baseball

The weekend came quickly for Genesis, her excitement getting her through the whole week. The Cullen kids had teased her for her giddiness, all knowing why she was so excited. And it wasn't about the 'American Pass Time'.
Genesis was now trying to figure out what the hell to wear. There she was, standing in her underwear looking at all of her designer clothes that Alice and Rose had helped her pick out, yet she still couldn't figure out what to wear. Why was this so difficult? Just then, Genesis heard a whooshing sound from her window. Instinctively, she covered herself and turned.
Thankfully, it was just Alice and Rose. That still didn't make her stop hiding herself, though. Yeah, they might have the same parts, but Genesis does have scars. Not only were they from when she was ten, but also throughout her young teenage years. She stopped once she turned sixteen and grew out of it, but the scars still remained. She wasn't that stupid of a kid, though. She only hurt herself on her stomach, knowing she could hide it.
But now, almost fully exposed, she was terrified. "I saw that you were having trouble picking out an outfit. So, I brought some clothes for you and I can already tell you that Carlisle loves it!" Alice said happily. Rose stares at the girl that was hidden behind her closet door, confused as to why she was so shy. "Are you okay?" Rose asked.
Genesis sighed. She never could keep anything from the two girls. She couldn't keep anything from her sister, either. She was planning on telling her everything soon, but couldn't find the right time to. Bella was happy and she didn't want to ruin that by telling her a horror story.
Genesis pushed open the door and stepped out, revealing herself to the two girls. Rose and Alice paused, not expecting what they were seeing. They were glad that they had convinced Carlisle to stay behind, because not only was the girl in her underwear, but she was also littered with scars. They're not terrible, per say, but they aren't going good either.
Genesis was self continuous and looked down at the floor, trying to ignore their concerned stares. "How long ago were those?" Rose finally spoke. "I stopped three years ago when I was sixteen. The others are from when I was ten." Genesis explained. The two girls nodded their head. "At least you're not hurting anymore." Alice said brightening the mood.

Rose nodded in agreement and gave Genesis the clothes. "Thanks g-" The door opened abruptly, and standing there was Bella. She had a smile on her face, but it slowly turned into a look of horror as her eyes landed on Genesis's scarred body. Genesis whipped around, looking for Alice and Rose, but they were long gone. Genesis turned back to Bella, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
Bella entered the room fully and closed the door behind her, not once taking her eyes away from Genesis. She slowly walked towards her, further examining her scars. "What, when, why?" Bella was stuttering out incoherent mumbles, trying to fully grasp the situation in front of her.
Genesis grabbed Bella's hand in hers, pulling her over to sit with her on the bed. Bella looked up at her expectingly, waiting for answers. "I've been keeping something from you for the past nine years." Genesis confessed. Bella looked at her upset, tears already in her eyes, "I thought we told each other everything." Bella said. "I didn't want you to be upset. I wanted to keep you happy and not burden you with the thought that I was suffering." Genesis explained, "I was trying to protect you." She sighed.
"By putting on a front? Gen, you've been suffering! You have scars from yourself and whatever else! You've been there for me when it was you who needed somebody! How could you put yourself through that?" Bella exclaimed. She was furious. But, who wouldn't be? If someone that has been your hero since forever turned out to be broken, wouldn't you be pissed that they didn't think about themselves?
Bella stood up and paced the room, trying to calm herself down. Finally, she stood still and crossed her arms. "What happened?"
An hour later, and Genesis is still naked and now has dried tears on her face as Bella sobs on her shoulder. She was afraid this would happen. What time was Edward supposed to be here to pick them up? Because she really didn't want him to show up to a distraught Bella. That would be one upset ferret.
Bella finally calmed down and looked at her sister, "Gen, please, please start caring more about yourself. I need you, Edward and the rest of his family needs you, Carlisle needs you." She tried to express to her. Genesis smiled at her sister and hugged her, "I will, Bells. I'm sorry for keeping this from you for so long. I promise, from here on out, I will tell you everything." She promised.

Bella shook her head and smiled at her. She couldn't stay mad at her forever. Bella finally noticed the clothes that were on Genesis's bed. It was a black tank top and baseball jersey with some white skinny jeans and black converse. It was perfect for her sister, but she had never seen it before. "Where'd that come from?" Bella asked. "Alice and Rosalie." She answered. Bella nodded, "it suits you."
There was a car horn outside and Bella went to the window to see Edward by his car. Bella turned back to her sister, who was actively trying to yank her skinny jeans onto her as quickly as possible. "Damn my fat ass!" She exclaimed as she promptly fell off the bed from wiggling around so much. Bella rolled her eyes and laughed.
"What am I gonna do with you?"
Edward pulled up to a clearing where they saw the rest of the Cullen's getting ready for their game. "I don't know if I can do this." Genesis pouted. Edward turned to look at her, "Why?" He asked concerned. "My ass hurts from falling off the bed." She whined while getting out of the car. Bella laughed and Edward rolled his eyes while getting out of the car.
Carlisle had already noticed them and heard Bella's laughing and seen Edward's amused smile. "It's not our fault your ass hurts." Edward said, shaking his head. Carlisle choked on air. How that's even possible, he'll never know, but he was concerned with something else right now. "What?!" He exclaimed.
Rosalie, Emmett, and Chandler were cracking up as Esme looked at Edward disapprovingly and Alice and Jasper looked amused. You'd think that the teenager would have more of a dirty mind than the three hundred year old man, but that wasn't the case. Genesis was utterly oblivious.
"Yeah. I fell off my bed and landed on my butt and now it's sore." She pouted. Carlisle looked at her dumbfounded while everyone started laughing at her confused stare. Carlisle shook his head and put his arm around her shoulders. "If any of you even dare as to corrupt her, I'll send you flying over the mountains." Carlisle warned.
He found the innocence of his mate adorable, and he was not about to let his family ruin her pure mind. Not on his watch. Genesis rolled her eyes, "You guys are weird." She smiled. "Are you sure it was the floor you landed on?" Chandler snickered and Esme Hit his arm. Carlisle glared at him. "What do you mean?" Genesis cocked her head to the side in confusion.
Carlisle gave the group a warning glare. "He's suggesting that you got f-" Rosalie slapped her hand over Emmett's mouth and Chandler, Edward, and Bella started laughing as Carlisle covered her ears. "Emmett," Carlisle warned. Carlisle had no problem tossing the big bear across a mountain, again. "Let's play, shall we?" Esme interrupted, trying to save her mate and nephew from going over Mount Rushmore.
"Yeah! Let's play!" Genesis cheered, making Carlisle forget his anger and melt at her childlike giddiness. The Cullen's began to play while the girls watched. The impact of the ball cracked against the bat, making it sound like a clap of thunder. "Aha! I told you that's why they needed the storm!" Genesis exclaimed. Bella rolled her eyes and laughed.
Carlisle was up to bat and Genesis couldn't help but to stare at him. She looked over to see Edward and Emmett getting ready for him to hit the ball. She had an idea. Carlisle turned and winked at her before getting ready to swing. He hit the ball and ran the bases. Just as Edward jumped up, Genesis thought loudly about how Mike had told her how hot he thought Bella was. Edward looked furious and was cut off guard and slammed into Emmett.
Carlisle reached home and Genesis cheered. He came up to her and picked her up, twirling her around before kissing her. Edward huffed. "That's cheating!" He called out to her. "I don't know what you're talking about." Genesis smiled innocently. Before Edward could argue, Alice's voice rang out, stopping everyone in their tracks.
