It is my birthday tomorrow so replies to comments might be late anyway enjoy the chapter and thank you all for the continued support the story is growing massively already :o
Steven was sitting on a rock swinging his legs. "Hey Mr. Postman, bring me a post, bring me the post that I love the most." He sings to himself but stops as a mailman appears around the corner. "Huh?" Steven gasps and gets excited. "My song came true! Do you have a package for me today?!"
"Hold on." The mail man says opening his mailbag. "Let me see what I've got here." He takes out a peculiar package. "Did you order a loaf of bread with a stamp on it
"No."
The Mail man pulls out envelope next. "Did you order a jury summon for R.J. Finkle?"
"That's not me, I'm Steven." Steven says.
"Oh, right, right, right, Steven!" The mail man says pulling out pulling out a parcel. "Here it is, Steven Universe."
"Ha!" Steven exclaims ecstatically. "This thing is gonna help me save the world."
"Really?" The Mail man asks. "It says it's from Wacky Sacks Supply Company."
"Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl think I shouldn't go on magic adventures because I don't know how to use my Gem powers." Steven says.
"...That seems reasonable." The mail man says not really sure what Steven was talking about.
"But there are other ways I can help." Steven says now.
"With a Wacky Sack?" The Mail man asks confused.
"Exactly!" Steven exclaims.
"Do you know how you can save my world?" The mail man asks as he takes out a signature pad. "Sign here, please."
"Aah!" Steven writes his name and draws stars over it.
"Barb yells at me if I don't get signatures." The mail man admits.
"That's awful." Steven comments before the beach house suddenly starts glowing from the inside. "Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl are back!" He grabs the parcel and runs up the stairs towards his house.
"Wait, Steven! What is a Wacky Sack?!" The Mail man cries out.
Steven rushes into the beach house only to be confused when he enters.
Garnet was covered in feathers. "Hello, Steven." She says stoically.
"Amethyst, we do not need that! It's not going to fit in the fridge!" Pearl could be heard saying and Steven looks to see Amethyst with a giant egg almost the size of her in hand.
"What?" Amethyst called out. "I got this." She slowly slides a tray out of the fridge, spilling a carton of milk and dropping a bag of bagels, and puts the giant egg inside. "Look, it fits! Ha!" She then slams the fridge door, as a crack is heard from the inside. "Oh man, We can make a big omelet, or a quiche, or big sunny side ups!"
Pearl looks unamused, before she turns to Steven. "We fought a giant bird. We're only here for a second, we've got to go back out."
"What? Why?" Steven asks.
Pearl shows Steven a statue she's holding. "We have to place this Moon Goddess Statue on the top of the Lunar Sea Spire before midnight. Without it, the whole place will fall apart! Oh, Steven, you should have seen the spire in its heyday." Pearl says now projecting a hologram of the Sea Spire from her gem. "It was an oasis for Gems on Earth. It's abandoned now, but we can still save it with this statue!"

"Wha?" Steven wonder as his eyes light up. "That's perfect!" he then cries.
"What? Why?" Pearl asks confused.
"Because I can help carry it for you, in this!" Steven opens the parcel and makes dramatic sound effects, as he pulls out a burger-shaped bag.
"A hamburger?" Pearl asks.
"It's a novelty backpack, shaped like a cheeseburger! Aww, I blew it." Steven puts it on one shoulder. "I was just going to wear it one day, and you guys would be like, "Dang, Steven, that's so cool." But this is obviously important Gem business."
"Yes, so you should let us take care of it." Pearl says to him.
"What? I'm a Gem!" Steven says as he lifts up his shirt and points at his navel gemstone.
"But... you've still got a lot to learn." Pearl says to him.
"So, let him come! It'll be educational." Amethyst says.
Pearl seems to think for a moment at the word Educational. "Hmm, alright. You can carry it in your hamburger." She says handing the statue to Steven.
"Hmm!" Steven opens the backpack. "Check this out! Everything's a pocket! Even the cheese is a pocket! I could fit a lot more stuff in here. Give me a minute! I'll pack extra supplies."
Steven begins rummaging his house for supplies, such as a bag of bagels, two sweaters, a kite, an inflatable raft, and more clothes. While in his room, he accidentally steps on a stuffed toy. Steven picks it up and starts laughing and shaking it.
"Ooh, kid, don't shake me!" The toy calls out.
"Mr. Queasy!" Steven says laughing and shaking it.
"Ooh, I got a medical condition!" The toy says now.
"You're definitely gonna come in handy!" Steven says removing a first aid kit from his backpack and stuffing Mr. Queasy in.
"Steeeveeen! Let's gooo!" Pearl's voice could be heard calling out.
"Coming!" Steven cries walking down the steps of his room but at that moment the sound of the temple door goes and Steven looks to seem what appeared to be Y/n stood outside. Steven gasps and his eyes light up as he rushes to the door.
Y/n was looking at their phone when the beach house door flew open and they felt their hand being grabbed. "Woah." Y/n called out seeing it was Steven who was pulling him along. "What's with the hurry Steven?" Y/n asks.
"Were going to the Sea Spire!" Steven says as he pulls Y/n onto the warp pad now.
"Steven!" Pearl cried out in shock.
"Let's warp." Garnet says not wanting to waste anymore time. A blue light beams from the warp pad as the five figures begin to ascend.
Y/n eyes were filled with genuine wonder as he and the others were surrounded by a blue beam.
"What is this?" Y/n found himself asking.
"Steven, what were you thinking bringing your... friend?!" Pearl asks.
But Steven was laughing and somersaulting in the beam, sticking his head out of the warp stream.
"Keep your head in!" Pearl cries pulling Steven's head back in.
"Steven wanted you to come." Garnet says getting Y/n's attention. "You will stay by our sides and follow our instructions." She says and Y/n nods his head understanding that Garnet was probably being more lenient for Steven's wishes.
The Crystal Gems and Y/n arrive on another warp pad now. Steven, still floating, falls on his back. They all turn to look at Sea Spire.

"Whoa, the Sea Spire!" Steven says in awe and everyone looks up to it.
The Gems sigh as a piece of the Spire breaks off from the structure.
"It wasn't like this a hundred years ago." Pearl says remorsefully.
"I'm sensing structural instability." Garnet tells the others.
"Oh, yeah." Steven comments pretending he knows what that means as cracks start forming in the ground around him. "That's never good."
"Gah! Steven!" Pearl cries as she rushes towards Steven.
"Wha?"Steven asks as the ground below starts to break off, Y/n however manages to save Steven by pulling him backwards just in time, as the ground collapses into the waters far below.
Pearl pulls Steven from Y/n's arms and begins hugging Steven tightly. "Alright, hold on. We're taking Steven and his friend back!"
'She must really care about Steven.' Y/n thinks to himself.
"Ooh, my aching stomach!" Steven's toy says from the backpack that had activated with her hug.
Steven leaps off of Pearl. "Oh, Mr. Queasy!" He takes the toy out of his backpack and shakes it while laughing.
"It's killing me!" The toy says.
"STEVEN!!! This place is your heritage. I want you to stay and help, but you really got to take this seriously! Can you do that, Steven?" Pearl asks him.
"You got it, dude!" Steven replies sticking his thumb up with his tongue out.
Pearl looks at him unconvinced. "Yessssss..."
"Enough." Garnet interrupts. "We have to move."
The Crystal Gems run up to the edge of a cliff with Steven and Y/n following, before Garnet signals them all to stop.
"What's the hold-up? We can clear this easily." Amethyst says to her.
"No." Garnet says bluntly. "The magic that sustains the whirlpool creates a vortex that will pull us below." Garnet picks up a rock nearby and hurls it over. It quickly gets halted in its trajectory and pulled by the vortex.
"So we can't jump?" Y/n asks being to quick to understand.
"Correct." Garnet replies to his question.
"Oh, wait!" Steven cries as he open his backpack and pulls out two sweaters.
"What are those for?" Amethyst asks.
Steven ties the sweaters together. "They were for keeping warm, but check it out!" Steven whips one end through a hole in the Spire and catches it. He takes a deep breath.
"Steven!" Amethyst cries.
"Wait!" Pearl shouts worried.
Steven runs and jumps off the cliff. The vortex starts to pull him down.
"He's getting sucked down!" Amethyst says.
"STEVEN! Everyone calls out worried.
Clinging onto the sweaters which prevent him from being sucked in, Steven finds his footing on the side of the Spire and begins to pull himself upwards. "Cheesssse-burrrr-gerrrr" manages to land into the Spire unscathed, panting.
"Steven! Way to go!" Amethyst cheers. "C'mon, guys!" She then says summoning her whip from her gem, whipping it around the same hole of the sweaters, and hoists Y/n, Garnet and Pearl over her shoulder. "Steven style!" She swinging over the vortex and ascends into the Spire the same way as Steven.
"Don't ever do that again!" Pearl says to the boy.
"Sorry!" Steven apologizes but he gets patted on the head by Garnet as he passes by him.
"But, it was pretty great." Pearl says with a small smile as she passes by as well.
"Steven, that was really smart." Y/n says to Steven and Steven look up at him with a smile.
Everyone was walking around inside and looking around the Sea Spire.
Pearl began commenting the structural damages as she looked all around. "Oh, no, no, no, this is even worse than the outside. Ugh... that's... Oh! Oh, this didn't used to be so... Oh, and the water damage. This pillar... Oh, and this had a head... Oh, Steven, once the statue's in place, it'll restore all of this to its former glory..." She explains but notices some creatures crawling around a statue's shoulders. "Aah- Ah- Aaah!" She cries and summons her spear and slices the statue in half.
"What was that goober?" Steven asks confused.
"Crystal Shrimp." Pearl answers.
"You guys, we got a problem!" Amethyst's voice could be heard up ahead.
Steven and Pearl run up the stairs to see Y/n stood with Garnet and Amethyst who were inspecting a problem.
Pearl looks herself to see tons of Crystal Shrimps and gasps. "It's an infestation. And we have to pass through there to get to the top."
Steven leans towards one of the Crystal Shrimps. "Can't you just squish 'em?" He asks.
Pearl quickly pulls Steven away. "Don't touch that, their shards are deadly!" She says quickly. "We need to clear a path." She declares while looking in thought she soon projects a hologram Amethyst, which Y/n looks at with intrigue. "Amethyst, if you go around to the side and disturb them with a spin attack... " She projects a Garnet on the ceiling now. "And Garnet, if you move to the ceiling and strike this exact spot... then I can advance with my..."
"BAGEL SANDWICH!" Steven shouts interrupting Pearl as he tosses two bagel sandwiches onto either side of the room. The Crystal Shrimps proceed to swarm towards the bagel sandwiches, clearing a path for the Crystal Gems.
"Brilliant." Garnet comments as she begins to move forward.
"Oh, hey, what do you know?" Amethyst says herself.
Pearl dispels her holograms still in shock she begins to stammer. "Uh, uh... How did you know that would work?" She asks Steven.
"Well, if I were a shrimp, that's what I would do." Steven shrugs.
"You are a shrimp." Amethyst calls out Steven in a joking way.
"I just want everyone to know: my plan would have also worked." Pearl says a little disappointed as they all begin to move forward now.
The group proceed to cross the cleared path and climb the stairs. They reached the top of the stairs when Garnet suddenly halts the group. "Watch out!" The wall to their left cracks and bursts open, forming a gushing stream of water.
"What are we gonna do?" Amethyst asks.
The Gems all turn and look at Steven now.
"What? Me?" Steven asks surprised.
"Seems you have got their expectations up little buddy." Y/n says.
"What have you got?" Garnet asks nodding.
"Cheeseburger Backpack! Cheeseburger Backpack!" Amethyst begins chanting and Steven nervously searches inside his backpack. "Y/n, Pearl, c'mon." Amethyst encourages.
"Cheeseburger Backpack." Y/n sighs as he resigns to joining in the fun.
"Oh, alright." Pearl concedes for Steven.
" Cheeseburger Backpack! Cheeseburger Backpack! Cheeseburger Backpack!" The three chant together.
Steven pulls out an inflatable raft. "A raaaaft!" He cries pulls the raft's handle and inflates it.
"Wow!" Garnet and Amethyst comment.
"Steven, that's so sensible!" Pearl says.
"Wait Steven." Y/n starts to say. "That's not going to..." but Steven throws the raft onto the water. It quickly floats away and gets washed out off the side of the Spire. Steven, Pearl and Amethyst groan.
Y/n looks around and notices something now. "Um, Garnet. Could you possibly knock that pillar away from us?" Y/n asks politely.
Garnet looks at Y/n for a moment before she proceeds to kick over a nearby pillar and it forms a bridge over the water.
"Nice idea. Garnet says sticking her thumb up to Y/n who rubs the back of his head with a slightly embarrassed smile.
"Aww. Steven sighs as he just looks in the direction the raft had gone.
"It was a Good idea anyway, Steven." Y/n says reassuring the boy.
The group cross the makeshift bridge to the other side and begin to walk up another staircase.
"Yeah, they can't all be winners." Amethyst adds.
The group slowly climb up the winding stairs around the Spire. They finally reach the top, and both Steven and Y/n stare in awe as the Gems approach a pedestal.
"This place is beautiful, I've never seen anything like it." Y/n comments as he looks all around.
"This is it. The Moon Goddess pedestal." Pearl says as she looks up to the sky to reveal it is nighttime. "And the moon is almost overhead! It's not too late to save this piece of history!"
"Steven, the statue." Garnet says now and Steven sticks his hand into his backpack, but feels something missing.
"Uhh, I, uh, ah, uhh..." He rummages the other compartments of the backpack.
"What's the hold-up?" Amethyst asks him.
Steven looks horrified. "I don't have it." He then suddenly says causing the Gems to gasp in shock.
"WHAT?!" Pearl cries.
"I must have left it on the bed!" Steven realizes.
The Gems turn to look at the moon as it slowly drifts overhead.
"There's... There's no time..." Pearl says despairingly.
"Wait!" Steven says reaching into his backpack. "I have an idea!" He pulls out his Mr. Queasy toy.
"Aah.." Pearl stammers flabbergastered.
"Could that work?" Amethyst asks.
Pearl and Amethyst turn to Garnet, who shrugs in response.
Steven begins to walk to the pedestal and places Mr. Queasy upright on the pedestal. Mr. Queasy however falls over on hi side. "Oh, kid, don't shake me!" A ray of light begins to beam from the pedestal towards the moon. Mr. Queasy is levitated off the pedestal by the beam as everyone watches in awe. It begins to violently shake and explodes, causing the Crystal Gems to scream. The ground then starts shaking and cracks begin to form on the roof of the Spire. The waterfall around the Spire also starts to close in towards the structure.
"Everyone, keep steady!" Garnet tells the others as she picks Y/n and puts him over her shoulder.
"Woah." Y/n says at the feeling of being picked up off his feet.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Steven cries watching as the destruction unravels.
The Spire begins to crumble and falls apart, separating the Crystal Gems in the process. The whole structure collapses till there is nothing left but the ocean.
The Crystal Gems soon emerge one by one on the waters surface. Y/n and Steven take deep breathes as they reach the surface.
"Thanks Garnet." Y/n says not being sure if he would have survived without her grabbing him.
"You're welcome." Garnet says adjusting her visor.
"This is all my fault! I broke it." Steven says upset.
"No, Steven." Pearl says sadly. "The Spire was falling apart when we got here. You handled everything well under pressure. You did great!" She reassures him.
"Yeah, two out of four of your ideas worked. That's fifty percent." Amethyst adds.
"Yeah. I guess you're right." Steven says feeling a little better.
"The Gems are right Steven you did amazing." Y/n says as he splashes Steven a little causing the boy to laugh and cheer up. "They can't all be winners. So let's enjoy what wins you have."
At that moment the raft from before pops up to the water surface and the Gems stare in amazement.
"WOOO!" Steven cheers in delight as he climbs into the raft with everyone else following.
"Cheeseburger Backpack! Cheeseburger Backpack! Cheeseburger Backpack!" Pearl & Amethyst begin chanting.
"It's a three-hour paddle home." Garnet says glaring out into the distance.
Steven retrieves a bagel from his backpack. "Anyone want a wet bagel?"
Y/n takes out his phone from his pocket now but with the fall in the ocean it had died causing Y/n to sigh as he drops it down on the raft floor.
"I'm sorry Y/n. I just brought you along without asking." Steven says feeling bad.
"Steven this was exactly what I needed today." Y/n says as he sits back in the raft. "The sea spire was amazing, It was like something out of a fantasy story. It makes me want to learn more about Gems."
"Eh Pearl's better with all that boring stuff." Amethyst says as she leans back on the raft herself.
"Amethyst, paddle." Garnet says causing Amethyst to groan before she gets up and shapeshifts into a rowing paddle. Garnet takes a hold of her as she begins to use her to row the raft towards home.
"I want to learn about it too!" Steven suddenly calls out now and Pearl sighs.
"Oh alright...but pay attention." She says before she begins to teach Steven about the Sea spire and Y/n listens in.

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
