It was early morning at the beach house when Steven opened the windows to watch the sunrise. "Everyone's out. Guess I'm makin' us breakfast."

Steven began rummaging in his kitchen as he started making breakfast, starting with a stack of waffles with lots of syrup on them

Steven knocks on temple door. "Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst? Is anyone home?" He calls out but gets no reply, He turns around with a determined look on his face. "Hm!"

The temple door knocks and Steven looks to it to see Y/n.

"It's open!!" Steven calls out in a sing song voice and Y/n enters the beach house door.

"Morning Steven." Y/n says to the boy.

"Hi Y/n!" Steven waves heading back to the kitchen to greet Y/n properly. "You know you don't have to knock on the door every time right?"

"It feels a bit rude just to enter unannounced." Y/n says back.

"Whaaat? But your totally welcome at the Beach house." Steven says.

"Well, I wouldn't say totally." Y/n chuckles a little before he sighs. "So, What are you making?" He asks noticing the stack of waffles drenched in a bit too much syrup for his liking.

"I'm making Breakfast!" Steven says as he then microwaves some popcorn and dumps them over the waffles. Steven then sprays a mountain of whipped cream on top of the waffles. Steven looks at the breakfast he just made. "Look at you, you are out of control!" Steven says as he takes a strawberry and carefully places it on top of the whipped cream. He then lifts the breakfast up in triumph. "It's done!" He cries then sets it down on the kitchen before he sighs, and flops next to the breakfast.

"What's wrong Steven?" Y/n asks.

"That thing's too good for me to eat alone. It's a... "Together Breakfast!" Steven suddenly says perking up.

At that moment the Warp Pad suddenly began to glow as one of the gems beamed in, startling Y/n and Steven. Garnet then appears from the warp stream, carrying a scroll in her hand.

"Ah, Garnet, perfect!" Steven says pickings up the Together Breakfast. "Check it out! It's not exactly healthy, but it's in a stack, so I guess you could say, it's a... balanced breakfast?" Steven strains a smile at his own joke, trying to get a reaction from Garnet, but she doesn't react.

"You know, like I made us all breakfast." Steven says lowering the plate a little. "I thought we could eat together. Like, like best buds!"

"I can't stay. There's business to attend to inside the temple." Garnet says as she walks to a door at the back of the beach house, behind the warp pad. She places the scroll under her arm and holds her hands up to the two. Upon her hands were two gems that shined as the door responded by opening.

"Aw, business? Like what?" Steven asks as he sets the Together Breakfast on the kitchen counter.

"I have to burn this." Garnet tells the two as she unfurls the scroll, revealing strange mystic symbols, as ominous whispers are heard from it.

"That is... unsettling." Y/n comments looking at it.

"Cool!" Steven cries takes a photo of the scroll with his smartphone, and Garnet snatches it away. "Ah!"

"I have to burn this, too." Garnet says as she walks through the door and it closes behind her.

Steven runs up to the door. "No, my apps!"

"I know you're pain." Y/n chuckles as he holds up a new looking phone.

"Door!" Steven lifts his shirt and presses his gem against it. "Open, door!" But nothing happens. "Aw, you never work when I need it." He says walking away from it dejected.

Just then, a purple police officer bursts in through the front door of the house, wielding a water gun. "Dumb Police Dumb Police! Uhhh, you're dumb!" They cry shooting the water gun.

Steven quickly notices the water gun is aimed at the Together Breakfast and jumped in front of it as Y/n had begun lifting it out of the way anyway. "Nooooooo!" Steven cries as water gets squirted on his chest.

The purple police officer starts laughing and his head shapeshifts, revealing to be Amethyst all this time. "Oh man, I totally got you! You should've seen the look on your face!"

"Aw, I knew it was you." Steven says slightly annoyed as he gets up and walks towards his closet.

"Pfft, how?" Amethyst asks as Y/n walks over to the two.

Steven changes into a new dry shirt. "Because that's a water gun. And I'm not dumb."

Amethyst points at Steven's shirt. "You've got something on your shirt." She says to him.

Steven looks down and inspects his shirt only for Amethyst to then squirts another blast of water at him and laughs.

The door at the back of the beach house sounds out now getting the three's attention as they look at it. The door had changed from the one Garnet used earlier to have a purple vibe around it.

"Hey, that's my door!" Amethyst says as she shapeshifts back to normal, drops the water gun and runs towards the door, Pearl could now be seen exiting through Amethyst's door with a sword in her hands.

Pearl sees Amethyst who looked at her annoyed. "Oh, Amethyst, there you are. Care to explain what one of my swords was doing in your room?"

"Having a sword party." Amethyst says sarcastically.

"Oh please, you took it!" Pearl accuses.

"I did not!" Amethyst defends.

Pearl just sighs. "It's fine. It's in the past, I forgive you." She says swinging the sword over her shoulder, as Amethyst groans. "Also, I cleaned up your awful, awful mess. You're welcome."

"You did what?!" Amethyst cries out in shock. "I have a system!" She then shouts running past Pearl and into the door with it closing behind her.

"Amethyst, wait!" Steven calls out.

"What's the matter, Steven?" Pearl asks

"I wanted us all to have breakfast together. So I made Together Breakfast." He tells her while pointing to the breakfast in Y/n's hands. "But everyone keeps leaving."

"Ah, that's nice." Pearl says not really listening as she turns around now. The door at the back glows once again along with Pearl's gem before it opens revealing waterfalls in a room. Pearl walks inside and sinks into the water.

"Oh no, not you too!" Steven cries as he takes the plate from Y/n and runs towards the door. "I can't let this become "Together Brunch"!"

"Steven wait!" Y/n calls out as the door begins to close but Steven manages to keep it from closing with his arm, and both he and Y/n slips inside Pearl's Room the door shutting behind them.

"I love how there is always something new to surprise me when I come to yours." Y/n says with a content smile as he looks around Pearl's room.

Steven can see Pearl emerging from the top of a waterfall, as she performs a short ballet dance and summons her sword collection. She then replaces the missing sword back into its scabbard. "Hmm, there we go." She says to herself before adjusting it upright slightly. "Ahh..."

"Hey, Peaaaarl!" Steven shouts out disturbing her.

Pearl turns her head noticing both Steven and Y/n, as her sword collection quickly sinks back into the waterfall. "Steven, what are you two doing in here? You know it's dangerous for you inside the temple!" She says waving her finger and room door reopens back to Beach House.

"We're gonna have a nice together breakfast, even if I have to get my shoes wet." Steven says determined as he steps into Pearl's waterfall pool and sinks into it up to his chest.

"Steven I don't think that' such a good idea." Y/n says slightly worried.

"WHAT?! Get out of there!" Pearl cries looking at Steven.

Steven was holding the Together Breakfast up high as he ignored both Y/n and Pearl. "I'll swim it over to you." He says as he uses one arm to start swimming. "See, doggy paddle, forward." The water ahead however begins rapidly descending into a waterfall, Which Steven only notices as he gets pulled towards the waterfall. "Oh gosh, wait! Doggy paddle, reverse! Reverse!"

"Steven!" Pearl and Y/n cry out worried in unison.

Steven is then sucked down the waterfall.

"This would never of have happened if you hadn't let Steven into the Temple!" Pearl blames Y/n.

"Then let me help rescue him!" Y/n says looking down the waterfall now.

"Are you insane!? It's bad enough that Steven made his way in but bringing a defenceless human in with him was even worse! No! No. You need to leave, I will rescue Steven." Pearl says shooing Y/n towards the door.

"It's Y/n." Y/n says annoyed.

"What?" Pearl asks.

"My name. It's not your friend, or the human...My name is Y/n!" Says to Pearl. "Now you either let me come with you, Or I'll jump down the waterfall after Steven myself." Y/n says to Pearl who groans annoyed.

"Fine, But hurry up Steven could be danger." Pearl says and Y/n nods seriously.

Meanwhile Steven was panicking as he falling down the waterfall, until he started noticing the waterfall bends in odd angles. "What the...?" Steven keeps riding on the gravity-defying waterfall, bumping through several waves, until he reaches the bottom. "Whoa! Keep it Together Breakfast!" He cries as he splashes into the water below.

Steven washes up on shore of Amethyst's room, with the Together Breakfast still intact on the plate in his hand. He slowly gets up and sees Amethyst, examining Pearl's organisation of her room.

Amethyst flips over a pile of organized junk. "Better..."

"Amethyst." Steven calls out getting her attention.

"Oh, hey, Steven. Did you come down the waterfall?" Amethyst asks him unbothered by his appearance in her room. Pearl gets so mad that I have her junk, but it's always falling down here."

"Junk like what?" Steven asks.

"Junk like... you!" Amethyst says picking up Steven causing him to start laughing. "Imma throw you in the junk pile!" She says tossing him onto the pile. "Isn't it awful? Pearl organized everything."

"Still looks messy to me." Steven comments.

"Aw, thanks. I try." Amethyst says. "BOOM!" She then shouts as she kicks away a small junk pile and notices the breakfast Steven is carrying. "Oh, what's that Steven?"

"It's a Together Breakfast." Steven says holding it up.

"Alright, snacks!" Amethyst cheers as she reaches to grab it.

"No!" Steven cries as he pulls it away. "It's for everyone to eat together. That's the essence of Together Breakfast."

"Oh..." Amethyst says as begins to think. "Gimme, gimme!" She then cries attempting to take it and chases Steven into a cavern corridor.

"We have to eat it together!" Steven cries running through the twisting corridor which turns him upside down. "Huh?" He ponders as The Together Breakfast begins to fall due to gravity. "Woah!" He flips the plate and manages to catch it, before the corridor turns back upright again.

"You can't outrun me, we both have short legs!" Amethyst's voice sounds not far behind him and Steven comes to the end of the corridor only to see a room full of floating platforms, forcing him to stop for a moment.

"Steven! I'm hungry!" Amethyst cries as she draws closer.

Steven start hopping between platforms. "Just... hold... on! An exit! Woo!" He leaps down towards the final platform, causing the Together Breakfast to fall apart, but manages to catch all of it in order. "Skills!"

Amethyst jumps after Steven. "Get back here!"

Steven starts running again. "You're completely missing the point of this!" He says to her as he jumps and clings onto a crystal pole.

Amethyst however begins to look alarmed as she catches up. "Hey, wait a second!"

At that moment Y/n and Pearl ran in from from other side of the room. "Steven! There you are!"

"Pearl, Y/n, sweet! Three out of four." Steven says proudly.

Pearl however now notices what Steven is clinging on to, and she becomes worried. "Oh, oh! Steven, be careful!" She calls out.

"Why?" He asks. "Wha.." But he looks up and sees a heart-like structure, making beating noises. "Whoa..."

"What is that?" Y/n asks Pearl and Amethyst.

"You both really shouldn't be in here, this is the Crystal Heart. Oh! It's connected to the most dangerous areas of the temple!" Pearl says. "Hold on tight Steven, and don't look down."

Steven however looks down to see a dark abyss and he starts panicking. "Aaah!" He cries losing his grip and he starts sliding down the pole.

"No!" Pearl and Amethyst cry out worried but Y/n runs past them both as he jumps onto the pole sliding down after Steven.

"Amethyst why didn't you stop him!?" Pearl cries as the two look down the black hole.

"Me!? You're the one who brought him down here!" Amethyst says back to Pearl.

Steven was screaming as he slides past a bright room with pink clouds. "Oh hey, this isn't so bad." He comments as he continues sliding into a darker room with jagged walls. "Ah, never mind!"

"Steven!" A voice cries out and he looks up to see Y/n.

"Y/n! What do we do?" Steven cries out.

"Just hold on! I'm with you all the way" Y/n calls out. "...Even when Pearl inevitably tells us off." He says silently to himself.

The two continue sliding, eventually coming to a halt when the pole bends horizontally. Both Steven and Y/n let out a sigh of relief as they looks around and see Garnet, walking towards a pool of lava. She takes out Steven's phone, snaps it in half, and drops it into the lava.

"Aw..." Steven quietly whines.

Garnet then unfurls the scroll from earlier and dips it into the lava. She summons what appears to be a bubble and begins to burn it within inside it.

Steven slides off the pole first as Y/n follows behind him and they stand watching Garnet. A few moment go by when Amethyst and Pearl slide down the pole into the room now.

"Steven, we're getting you and...Y/n... out of here." Pearl whispers.

"Come on." Amethyst whispers pointing to a nearby corridor.

"Ah, this is great!" Steven begins yelling "We're all together!"

Garnet gasps at Steven's presence. The smoke inside the bubble tries to escape, but is stopped by Garnet.

"We can finally eat!" Steven says happily. "I mean, we don't have any forks, but we can use our hands! I'm not gonna judge."

Garnet was still trying to contain the visibly struggling smoke in the bubble. "Y/n, Steven, go!" She tells them.

"Okay, want to meet in the kitchen?" Steven asks. But with all his talking Garnet gets distracted and the bubble pops. The smoke begins to expand and attack the Gems. The Gems then summon their weapons.

"It's trying to escape! Force it back!" Garnet tells the other gems.

The Gems begins to fight the smoke monster, physically hurting it while Steven backs away. The smoke monster then dashes towards and hits Steven and merging with the breakfast on the plate.

"Steven!" Y/n and Gems call out concerned.

Steven had been knocked off his feet and he groan as he sat back up. "Ugh..." The breakfast begins to move on its own getting his focus. "Together Breakfast?" Steven asks.

The Together Breakfast transforms into a massive grotesque monster, made of the breakfast's ingredients, and wraps Steven in syrup until Pearl hurls her spear at it, drawing its attention.

"It's taken refuge in organic matter!" She shout as the monster attacks Pearl and sticks her to the wall with a mix of whipped cream and syrup.

"Now it has all the power of a breakfast, we have to destroy it." Garnet says

"AAH!!! It's horrible!" Pearl who was surrounded by whipped cream cries in disgust.

The monster snaps Pearl's spear in two in and Garnet tries to punch the monster, but her gauntlet gets stuck in whipped cream. Amethyst tries to pull Garnet away.

"I didn't want this!" Steven says as he tries to push against the weight of the monster with the breakfast plate. "I just wanted to eat together like, like best buds!"

"Steven, Y/n, you've got to get away." Garnet calls out to them.

"But my breakfast!" Steven says but the monster launches a giant waffle at Garnet and Amethyst, smashing them into a wall causing Steven to gasp. "That's... enough!" Steven says angrily as he pushing the monster with a great amount of strength. "I... don't care if you... are the most important meal of the day!" He strains as the monster pushes him back but Y/n puts his hands on the plate now as well pushing with all his might.

"I told you I was right with you." Y/n strains as he pushes with Steven.

Working together Y/n and Steven shove the monster towards the lava pool. "I made you to bring us together! Not to tear us apart!" Steven declares as they shove the monster all the way into the lava, burning and destroying it for good. The Gems escape from the monster's previous attacks and gather around the two at the lava pool.

"I'm sorry, guys. I guess I dreamed too big." Steven sighs and the gems look at each other.

Everyone was stood in the kitchen as the Gems were recreating Steven's original breakfast, but twice the size.

"It looks great!" Steven says excitedly. "It's even more together and even more breakfast!" He says but he and the others all begin to stare at it with great concern and unwillingness to eat it.

"I don't think I can eat this." Steven says honestly.

"It's closer to lunch time now anyways." Y/n points to a clock on the wall.

"Let's order a pizza." Amethyst says.

"It did try to kill us." Garnet adds to the conversation.

"So we're ordering Pizza then?" Y/n asks referring to Amethyst's suggestion a moment ago as he get ready to take his wallet out.

"No." Garnet says now. "Steven, Amethyst and I will will get the pizza. You and Pearl will stay here."

"What?" Pearl cries.

"Huh?" Y/n says just as confused.

"Alright!" Steven cheers putting his hands in the air. "What do you want on your pizza Y/n?"

"Oh umm... Surprise me buddy, just as long as it's not Pineapple." Y/n says.

Steven, Garnet and Amethyst then all leave the beach house leaving Y/n and Pearl behind.

Silence fills the Beach house now as Y/n and Pearl stay quiet for a few moments unsure what to say having being left with one another.

Y/n thinks of trying to start a conversation but was surprised when it was Pearl who make the first comment.

"You were...brave, Jumping down after Steven." Pearl admits.

"I couldn't just abandon him." Y/n says before he sighs and turns to Pearl. "Look, why don't we try and start over." Y/n says as he offer out his hand now and Pearl looks down at it. "I'm Y/n."

Pearl looks at Y/n's hand hesitantly but takes a hold of it. "Pearl."
