Enid and Wednesday didn't speak for the next few days. Both were in aware of the next step in their relationship. Enid was the first to approach the other.
" Hey Wednesday..." Enid says. She had just returned to their dorm from class.
" Hello Enid" Wednesday replies as she took out books and began to do her homework.
" So the carnival is in town" Enid says.
" I've heard" Wednesday replies. " Would you want to go...?" Enid asks carefully.
" what do you think I'm going to say." Wednesday says.
" Well last time I guessed what you were gonna say you said the opposite" Enid explains oddly fast. Wednesday looks up from her book and Enid shrugged.
" Carnivals are the hotspot for annoying teenagers and crying kids." Wednesday says looking away
" Exactly, kids crying is hilarious " Enid says.
" In a way yes."
" So?"
"No"
" Wednesday!!" Enid groans. She flops onto her bed and stares at the ceiling.
"Go with Xavier."Wednesday says.
Enid sits up. " I don't want to go with Xavier I want to go with you." She says. " Wednesday please, how can I prove to you that me and Xavier aren't a thing." Enid says with her hands together.
Wednesday turned around to face Enid. " Nothing Enid. Its quite clear he means something" she says.
" Weds I asked you out and you said no, I'm asking you out again and your saying no but you're jealous." Enid says. " A couple of hours, just me and you laughing at kids crying and falling"
Wednesday sighs. She shrugs and nods her head.
" then it's a date" enid says getting up and giving wednesday a hug. Enid nearly kissed her cheek but stopped herself.

6 pm rolled around and both girls were ready. Enid wore a pink long sleeve and light blue jeans. Wednesday wore a striped black and white shirt under a black jacket two sizes too big for her, she paired this with a pair of black jeans.
" Ready?" Enid asks Wednesday. Wednesday nodded at Enid and started to walk out but was interrupted by Enid
" Hold on " she said running to her desk and pulling out a small box. She walked over to Wednesday with the box in her hands. Wednesday looked at the box then at Enid with a confused look.
" Take it" Enid says, giving the box a slight shake. Wednesday grabbed it and opened it to see a necklace. It had a black heart as a charm and a black small chain. " Do you like it?" Enid asks.
Wednesday nodded slowly and took it out of the box. She held it up and stared at it.
" I can put it on for you" Enid says reaching her hand out. Wednesday handed the necklace to her and turned around. Enid struggled slightly but eventually got it on.
Wednesday turned back around with a hand on the charm. " Cool huh" Enid asks. Wednesday nodded again. " You're a woman of very little word with a lot on your mind" Enid says walking past Wednesday. She opened the door and motioned for Wednesday to walk out.

His performance during the incident catches the attention of the current PoliceChief, Nura, who essentially takes him under his wing, and assists him in various ways,including when he is summoned to answer before the Council for getting involved in the spatbetween the two Void Lords. The book ends after the conclusion of the Hearing.Relovan is a stickler for the Law – something that prompted him to learn not only the laws ofvarious territories and planetary systems, but also the native languages and customs, so as touphold the law as best he can. As a highly trained, and immensely skilled former soldier,Relovan’s abilities along with his latent talent regarding the use of Essence, allow him to hangwith beings infinitely more powerful than him. Lawman is a full length manuscript that I will likely self publish once I have the artwork for it.
