Y/N's P.O.V

Monday, the worst day out of the week.

My 18th birthday, to be determined.

So far, wasnt to bad of a day, but it had also only been an hour. Nya had a morning shift so she was already gone when I woke up, so that obviously saved me from that. I did not want to start my day off with awkwardness and apologies I didn't want to hear. So instead I did some self pampering.

I dont normally take morning showers, but I did today. Got out and put on a robe, did some face masks, put lotion on, finished the skin care routine (moisturizer people), did my makeup, put on a purple sundress that went to my knees, and did my hair. I left my hair down but added some flair with bubble braids on either side and some fancy gold star clips. I curled the hair that was down and added some spray to keep them in so the humidity would frizz it up, since I would be outside most of the time. I put on some 2-3 inch gold heels to match the vibe. I wanted to look good, not that I didn't look good every other day, but I wanted to turn heads. And maybe, possibly, to make Lloyd look at me and be like, 'wow, that's the girl I pissed off, better make her happy'.

But, he probably won't leave me alone and will smother me. All 6 of them to add to that.

Looking at the time I saw it was 11 a.m and training starts at 1. Maya had invited me and Nova to go out for a small brunch before training since the boys were in pre training and classes and Nya was on duty. Ray was obviously the one giving the classes and training them so he couldn't join. I didnt mind because I was actually looking forward to a small girls day.

Maya knows about Nova and how she randomly busted into one of my training classes. In fact, Maya is the one who trained her how to contain and use her powers. Nova has both of her parents and they get along with Maya and Ray, obviously me too. However they don't actually know about me. Like pretty much everyone else on the island, they know the me that lives here. Not the me that comes from beyond the waters.

With a heavy sigh, I grabbed my purse and left the room. I pulled out my phone and let Maya know I was on my way.

I was now outside, having left the actual inside of the Castle and now in the front grand garden with the path that leads to the front gate. I was unfortunate enough be passing by the Knight class, definitely succeeded in turning heafs. Ray was the first one to notice me and flagged me down as I reached the gate. Him walking away from the group is what made me the center of attention and for eyes to linger. One green set to be specific.

"Hey my little dragon." He said with a big smile on his face. I returned the smile and took a step to meet him in a big hug. "Happy Birthday Y/N."

"Thank you Ray."

"Ah, Happy Birthday Y/N! I didn't realize it was today already!" The guy at the gate said.

"Thank you!" I smiled.

"I'm sorry I couldn't meet you guys for brunch. But I'll see you around 1 for the training." He said with a sorrowful tone and a smile.

"Of course! I'll see you for dinner though so it makes up for it. I'll see you then?"

"Of course, love you." He said hugging me one last time and kissing the top of my head before leaving to go back to his group.

"Big day huh." Gate guy said as I signed the check out paper and scanned my ID.

"Yup, feels like every other day but still more important I guess."

"Alright, you're all good to go. Have a good brunch!"

"Thank you!"

"Happy 18th Birthday my dear!" Maya exclaimed pulling me into a hug. " I can't believe you're this old ready! Seems like just yesterday we took you in!"

"Thank you. And nothing has changed since I last saw you, I'm still the same girl." I said when we pulled away from the hug.

"Welk, call it a label but over the 1 year in between birthdays everyone matures, even if you don't see it. " She sat down and gestured me to as well. It was a 4 seated table at my favorite Cafe we went to every year. Something small and cozy filled with memories. I sat across from her and put my purse on the seat to the left of me, the one to my right where Nova would sit was empty, as she had texted saying she was going to be a little late.

"So, I hear you still are not at a good point with the others?" I sighed, knowing I was about to get one of those talks.

"I just don't know how to feel. But it's also that now, there's not more hiding. And so much potential to them finding out the real truth. And if they react the way they did to training, how will they react to the real me?"

"This is the real you. Y/N, your past is not who you are. It is not how you grew up. You grew up here, in our care. I'm sure they will know why it was such a big secret we had to keep. Besides, now that you're 18, who knows what will happen. 18 isn't just a legal thing you know." She said, giving me a knowing look.

"You think something will happen with me?"

"I don't know. Only time will tell. But, knowing this you will have to be careful. Who knows what can happen. When you're 18 from your Kingdom, a whole ceremony happens that brings your powers to a whole new level and makes you connected to your Island and your Dragons in a way you have never felt before." I gave her a dazed look. Not exactly what I wanted to hear on my birthday.

Luckily, Nova had shown up and ended the conversation in regards to my powers and Kingdom, since nobody knew of either. Except Maya, Ray, and apparently Wu and the Queen? This will be an interesting few weeks, unless everything stays level but somethings are just to good to hope for knowing my luck.

"Happy Birthday Y/N!" Nova exclaimed very enthusiastically while hugging me. "Welcome to the legal club!"

"Thank you Nova." I laughed as we sit down.

"So, how do you feel?"

"Same as I did when I last saw you." I chuckled.

"Nova, how have you been? I haven't seen you in a while." Maya asked.

"I've been great! Been pretty steady in the Castle. Except the drama between the Prince and our Princess here." Nova sing-songed. If only she knew the message behind those words.

"Ah, soulmates." Maya teased.

"Why does everyone keeps saying that. We were in the same friend group. But we dont really know each other. He just randomly started having interest in me." I hushed them

"Actually, Lloyd has always inquired about you. He asked Ray quite frequently about you when he first had heard about you years ago. And he has always watched you from afar. I'd say he actually does know you pretty well. It's obvious he has a lot of curiosity about you. And has possibly developed a crush from afar." Maya teased.

"I'd say considering he kissed her-"

"Nova!"

"That was left out last time we talked." Maya raised her eyebrows at me. Ah shit.

"So Lloyd might have kissed me while we were alone in my room."

"Twice."

"Yes Nova, twice. And then I shoved him out of my room when Nya came in. I didn't tell her because of everything going on, but I know for a fact Lloyd told Cole. So I'm sure the others know as well." I huffed.

"I arrest my case."

"That doesn't mean anything Maya. For all I know he just wanted to prove he kissed a girl and I was the victim."

"Definitely not considering how well I know Lloyd." She remarked. I'm sure you know all about Lloyd and his cheeky attitude and his attractive hands, and his voice. Especially when he talked to me. And placed said hands on my hips when he-

"Earth to lover girl." Nova smirked. Maya just had an amused face as she watched my face turn red as I recalled the moment I couldn't seem to escape.

"So what we kissed. Doesn't mean it will turn into anything more." I denied.

"Denial is the first step." Nova said looking at Maya.

"Young love. Just use protection when that time comes. We don't need a mini version of the two of you coming around to early." Maya said.

My jaw dropped. Nova let out a very loud snicker.

"What? You don't think I was your age at one point with Ray? We were sneaky at first. A glance here and there, I quick kiss having to hide. Not so quick kisses in the corners-"

"Maya you are still a mother figure to me and I wish to not know how Kai came to be the oldest!" I exclaimed. Nova was living for it, obviously.

"Okay, fine. Change of subject, aka you, Nova have anyone special?"

"Not really-"

"Cole!" I exclaimed. "She rode on the back of a horse with him the other day and it was very cute."

"Oh really?" Maya questioned.

"No - well yes. But unlike someone else's story, mine doesn't actually mean a relationship." She defended.

"I think it does." I teased.

"How about we change the subject all together and just eat."

"Young girls and their boy problems." Maya laughed.

I arrived at the stands to watch the training 10 minutes before it actually started to get situated. Me and Nova were like, 2 people away from the Queen. I was less worried knowing what happened last time but Nova on the other hand, was about to jump out of her seat from how anxious she was.

"She likes me apparently, don't worry." I whispered to Nova to try and calm her down. Bad idea.

"Well, good to know your future Mother-In-Law likes you."

I rolled my eyes at her teasing. Queen KoKo was sat on the main chair, obviously. Wu was to her right, and then Maya, me and Nova. On her left was Ray and a few others who were important but I honestly didn't know there names. Nya had come and sat next to Nova, I was starting to feel guilty about what happened. Nya was my sister after all. It's something Maya said my mom always said to her:

"Blood is what makes you related, but Loyalty makes you family"

And I carries that around with me considering I was basically adopted.

Guilt came crashing down and made me feel sick to my stomach. Even after I kept them in the dark they tried to hard to keep me close. They all still wanted a relationship. Hell, the Prince wanted me in his life as a lover? And I was throwing a fit.

"Do you know where Kai could be?" I asked Maya, whispering. She gave me a look.

"Probably in the hallway before the training room, right before they enter-"

I got up and basically ran to where they were. I didnt care that people were watching me, or the looks I was getting. Or the 1 minute I had before they entered the grounds.

I entered the hallway and saw the group hovering, waiting for their que.

"Kai!" I called out. He immediately turned his head to me and gave me a puzzled look as I ran to him. He gave a small jog to me to separate us a bit from the group.

"What are you-" I cut him off by tackling him into a hug. I felt him stiffen before relaxing and hugging me back.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. I was cut off from saying anything else when the horn blared, "Good luck."

Quickly running back out I got to my seat, I got Nya and put her in the seat I was in, got Nova and put her in the seat Nya was in, then I sat in Novas seat. I was now in the middle of my girls, and I grabbed their hands and held them, a smile on my face as the event began and the boys made their way out.

It had been a while now, warm ups were completed and official training had began. First up was mobility, and just as last time our 5 were amazing, other were great and then there was Chen.

Literally how does he even still qualify to be out here. No grace, no honor, and absolutely no skill. He was flexible, but only that. Couldn't balance, no mobility whatsoever and would always defend his mistakes. 'Someone was looking at me, it threw me off' 'I twisted my ankle' 'I ate to much to now I'm heavier than I was, so it was a shock with the weight difference'

What a little dick he was. Lloyd this time was kept away from him, unlucky for Cole, he was placed next to him. And with Chens flailing limbs, he was hit multiple times. Being the Master of Earth, Cole stayed balanced and remained physically unfazed. However he face 100% revealed alot of unamusement and annoyance.

Lloyd and I made eye contact after he defeated Zane in hand to hand combat, aka saw me looking at him for a longer time then normal and raised his eye brow at me.

Maybe it's the adrenaline? Or just my pure stupidness but I gave him a smile and winked at him. He gave look of surprise and winked back. He concealed his emotions a lot better. He did not blush, I did. His smugness was cut off when he was brought back into training and had to focus again. I heard all 3 girls snickering at me and my blushing state.

"If y'all don't shut up-"

"You should have heard the way he talked about your kiss. You have him wrapped around your finger." Nya whispered to us. That did not help my issue. Nova snickered again. Waving them off I turned back to the grounds to watch the others.

It was the end of training, which now came down to which people would be leaving. See at the end of every big test, like the ones we watch, people can get kicked from the "grade level" their in and get booted back to the bottom. Not every event does someone leave. Everyone in the class can make it though. And there have been times where only one person is to graduate to the Royal Guard.

"Chen." I slightly choked at the forwardness of Turner when he said that. Chen was officially knocked down.

About damn time.

"Are you kidding me!" Well, never said he would go easy. That man's ego is his only personality. He looked at me, and pointed the sword he was directly at me. "You." He seethed.

"If you hadn't embrassed me last time I would still be a Knight!" He continued to shout threats at me as Maya quickly ushered me to leave the stand to safety. Kai and Cole were quick to keep themselves between me and Chen and I stepped down from the viewing stands, which lead right into the circular ground arena, for safety. Ray also joined in getting us out. Right as we were aligned with the exit (and also entrance, how convenient that there is only 1 escape route), Chen made his move.

It all happened so fast but felt like it was in slow motion. He shoved Kai and Cole to the ground and thew his sword straight at me. All the Elemental Masters were ready and had started to send something to stop it, but I was quicker.

It was stupid, reckless, but slightly satisfying. I used my powers. The powers no one knew I had. I brought my left arm up in front of my face, and swang my right arm to hit my legt one at a cross (wonder woman style) and create a purple energy boom. Didnt really know what else to call hit. It shattered the sword and sent everyone to the ground. Eyes glowing purple, purple energy surrounding me as the elements sent my way absorbed into me.

After that everything returned to normal speed. Including reactions. Koko stood up out of shock with an unreadable expression on her face. The 5 boys with their asses to the ground all gave me a look, I honestly didnt have the heart to look to Lloyd or Kai. Chen was knocked out, seeinf as the power was concentrated at him. Nya and Nova, couldn't see them, didn't want too quote frankly. Ray and Maya: to be determined. Wu, nope no time.

With out a second thought I took off running. I heard my name and the sound of metal, but I took off into the Castle knowing that I wouldn't get outside. I needed to hide.

And suddenly, the manhunt began.
