Chapter 30 – Who Are The Bad Guys?
Jenna's POV
I walked back to the house with tears in my eyes. I definitely took that one too far.
Yah, think! my wolf shouted in my head.
I just wanted to make him chase after me for a change, I said to her softly.
"Jenna where the hell have you been?" I heard a loud voice shout from the front porch. I wiped my eyes and kept walking. James stood on the steps with his arms folded across his chest.
"Leave me alone, James," I mumbled in a course voice, because of my crying. I attempted to pass him but the grabbed my wrist.
"Hey, have you been crying?" he asked me.
"Just leave it alone, James," I said to him and grabbed my wrist out of his hands. I strutted to my room then slammed the door. How worse could this night get?
Mystery Guy's POV
I raised the phone to my ear as it rung for the fourth time then went straight to voicemail. Where the hell is this bitch?! I swore as I redialed the number and waited.
"Hello?"
"What the hell is wrong with you? Do you know how long I've had to call your fucking phone?"
"I can't just answer this phone all the---"
"Don't tell me what I can or cannot do little girl. Remember I have the advantage here,"
"I'm sorry, my Lord," she apologized and I smiled at the respect she was suppose to give me when she first answered the phone.
"Good girl," I complimented her, "Now back to business, when are you coming down here because I'm positive I told you ten-thirty."
"I'm sorry; I just...can't manage to get away,"
"It takes an hour to get away from that filthy pack?" I growled in the phone as I began to pace.
"I will be there, I promise just give me a--" she said then muffled sounds came through the phone. What the hell is happening? Before I could ask, I was met with dial-tone. I cursed then snapped the phone shut.
Better be soon, my darling...
Diego's POV
We watched though the binoculars as a blonde ran to the house. What is with this pack and sneaking? I shook my head as I saw the leader of the Redwood pack run behind her.

"I need to hear what they're saying," I said to the guys over my shoulder. They moved instantly and went to find a way to hear them.
"We're too far away, we have to find a way to get closer to them," one of them said. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Well, let's get closer then," I said cheekily. We stood from our lowered position and went to the bushes against the porch. We heard footsteps coming closer to us and the boards squeaked.
"Conner, we just---"
"Come on, Abi I was just joking," Conner begged.
"I honestly don't want to hear it," Abi said then went inside. He followed her inside, begging for her forgiveness and the boys behind me made fun of him.
"I've never heard of a Beta beg before," Richard said from behind me. The other guys laughed and teased this Beta, though I think they know it made no sense. I heard footsteps coming this way so I signaled to the guys to be quiet. Who would be coming in this late? As soon as the person went inside, I gave the guys a signal that meant we should go back to the original spot.
Once we were in our area of range, we started discussing. I was wondering how in the world was there another teen coming in at midnight, when I was quite sure that they were all in the building.
"Were all the teens accounted for?"
"Yes, they were," a dark guy said, "I counted them all."
"Well, how is it that..." I started then trailed off, "when was the last time you counted them?"
"At nine o'clock sharp, just as you told me to,"
"Well, how in the world was there one person unaccounted for?"
"I have no idea, because I personally counted them and at that time, they were all in the house,"
"Aright whatever," I said, "but did anyone get a glimpse of who came in?" They all shook their heads and looked around, hoping someone would have seen. I groaned and put my head my hands. This is gonna be a long assignment.
My private cell phone rang and I excused myself to answer it.
"Hello?"
"Have you found the girl yet?"
"Uhh...well, we know where she is, we just can't get to her,"

"How long does it--"
"Don't even start that shit with me," I cut him off.
"Well, my bad your highness but this Alpha is getting restless. He really wants that girl, and we have to find her before he does,"
"Has he said anything about sending in reinforcements or whatever?"
"Not that I know of, but Diego you need to hurry. We don't want them to catch her before us that would only lead to injuries and shit"
"Well aren't you in the council shit or whatever that stupid Alpha has up there?"
"They don't tell you everything in that council," he said, "only if you're either the Beta or the enforcer, or third in command as you would call it,"
"I see, well you can try telling the Alpha that---"
"Hey, Diego I think we've got something," one of the guys shouted in the walkie-talkie that I had.
"I gotta go," I said into the phone then hung up. I walked over to the grounds and looked at them.
"What did you find?"
"We found out who's been working with---"
"She isn't working with them," another guy said.
"Who are you guys talking about?" I asked but they completely ignored me.
"Yes, she is,"
"No, she isn't. Don't you think I would have known that?"
"Well considering that fact that you know none of these people--"
"We've been studying them for months. We know their whereabouts, their schedules---"
"Well then you should know they are going on a trip on Monday," a third guy said.
"Whoa, hold it, everyone shut up," I ordered and they all zipped their mouths.
"Question one: where are they going on Monday?"
"They're gonna go on this Camping Trip that they go on every year before they go back to the school,"
"And how do you know of this information?"
"its tradition," was at the third guy said. I nod my head at him then turned to the first two guys.
"Are you girls done your arguing now?" I asked and a few guys chuckled. The two guys rolled their eyes but nodded none the less.
"Aright, question two: Is this person who is working with...whoever...is that person important to our mission?"
"Well...uhh...well, no but--"
"Well, if this person is not important then we shouldn't worry ourselves about him or her, got it?"
"Yeah, I guess so,"
"Good, now let's get back to business,"
Unknown's POV
I stared at the phone in my hand then cursed and returned it to my pocket. Haven't I told that boy never to hang up on me? Dammit, he's just too arrogant for his own good. I walked back to the council because of a meeting going on now. When I opened the door, all the members of the council were seated. Opps, guess I'm late.
"You're late, Mark," the Alpha said. Mark, did I say my name was Mark? I thought I told...wait didn't I tell him my name was---
"Marcus, are you going to join us?" he asked again. Well, apparently...my name is Marcus. I nodded at the Alpha then made a swift movement to take my seat. Then again, these Alphas tend not to remember your name so, it won't really matter.
"Sorry, for my absence, Alpha. I was told that the meeting started at one-thirty sharp," I apologized. He dismissed me by nodding then carried on to what he was saying before.
"Right, well as most of you are aware, Diego and his men are out on the Triton Kings territory. As far as I've heard, they've got something but they're waiting for the right time to strike. Personally, I hate waiting for something that I've waited for so damn long so I was planning to send in some of the Tubbuc Tribe," he said and many gasps followed after. I looked around confused but I got no answers from them because they were busy murmuring how far it had to come or whatever.
"What's the Tubic Tribe?"
"Tubbuc Tribe," the Alpha corrected me, "they're...rarely used specially trained hunters from the West. They are normally brought up for special tasks that take...well, specially trained persons."
"So, they're like...the baddest there is right now?"
"Well, if you want to put that brand-name to it then sure, they're the baddest there is right now," he said with a smirk on his face. I put on a fake smile, though I'm sure he didn't see though it. I better go call Diego.
Here come the reinforcements.
"Alpha, we've got---"

The Tower Must Fall - Combat Gardener
If you're interested in a conceptual, ground-up rewrite leave a comment and tell me what you loved about it. I've got a pretty good idea of what everyone hated so there's no need for expounding on that. Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for? Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down! Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future. Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees. Season One complete. Permanent Hiatus, Pending Rewrite. Important notes: -LitRPG fantasy -Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you. -This story opens with a negative situation and an emotional growth arc for the main character. Please don't review until chapter 30 because the arc is not complete until that chapter. (Chapters are short, that's an average RR book's chapter 10) -No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance -Questions? Please ask!
