Chapter 31- Time For Camping... Wait, Where's Jonah?

Zara's POV

I rested my head on Hayden's shoulder as his hands stoked my sides. I groaned as I nested my head in Hayden's shoulder. He laughed and kissed my neck.

"Come on, Zara time to get up," he said for the fourth time this morning (or should I say night since the bright sun hasn't decided to show itself yet?)

"Hayden, leave me alone," I grumbled, "I want to sleep."

"And you have slept long enough. Come on, lazy bones, get up."

"Then if you're so eager to get me up then you get up for yourself," I said as I shut my eyes. Ok, here was the situation on our hands. The whole house was asleep and again I state, the sun isn't even up yet, and apparently those facts weren't good enough for him because Hayden still wanted me to be awake.

"Yes, babe I would like you awake so you can wake up the rest of the teens. We have a camping trip to look forward to," he said reading my mind. I growled at him.

I hate you...

"I love you too," he said then got up and went in the shower. I groaned and placed my head back on the pillow when Hayden shouted from the bathroom.

"I'm up, I'm up...jeez," I said. I got up and ran a comb though my hair then put on decent clothes on. Wouldn't want anyone to see me inappropriately, right? After I put on my black and white tank top and a pair of grey sweatpants, I was though the door. Ok, who to wake up first? Let's see, if I wake up James, then he'll definitely help me wake up the others.

I walked to James and Lilly's room only to see them cuddled up in the centre of the bed. I mentally aww'ed then went over to James and shook the life out of him.

"What the hell?" he asked groggily as his eyes slowly opened up.

"James, I need your help," I said to him. He groaned and hugged Lilly tighter.

"Go ask your beloved mate, I would like to sleep in peace here,"

"Come on, James please," I begged, "Hayden asked me to wake up everyone and I figured that you could do your style,"

"My style?" he said a grin slowly made its way across his face. I rolled my eyes at his eagerness and muttered a yeah.

"Well, what are we waiting for, let's get things started,"

Minutes later...

"Aright, everybody up. Let's move it!" James shouted as he banged a frying pan with a metal spoon. Can I tell you how much that hurt my ears by the way? I knocked on every door shouting at them to wake up. I smiled when I heard groans and moans of protest. I made sure that I personally made a visit inside every room.

"Conner and Abigale, get your butts up this instant!' I shouted at the first pair I had made a visit to. They both groaned.

"Zara, it's four o'clock in the morning," Abi growled at me.

"Watch your tone, she's your Alpha Female now," a voice said behind me. I looked up to see Hayden leaning against the doorway.

"My apologizes, your highness," Abi said but by the look in her eyes I could see she was angry. I grinned innocently then looked at Conner.

"Get up, I don't want to have to come back here again," I said then went skipping out of the room.

"I see you got some help," Hayden said glancing at James, who was still banging the frying pan I might add. I smiled up at Hayden.

"He does things faster," I replied and Hayden smirked and leaned to whisper in my ear.

"Not as fast as me though," he said confidently.

"Oh please, Hayden," I said, "without using your Alpha Command that is, how do you think you're gonna get up about fifteen wolves?"

"Uhh...I was planning to use my Alpha Command so that leaves me out. If you need me, I'll be in the lounge." I shook my head as he walked away. Ok, next stop...

"Lucas, I swear to God if you don't get up this instant---"

"Zara, can you please leave me alone, I would like to sleep," he said then placed the pillow over his head. I growled at him then went up and grabbed then pillow away from him.

"Get up or else," I threatened him. He snickered at my threat and sat up.

"Or else what, Zara? You're forgetting that I'm the strongest one in this room," Lucas said.

"And that's where you're wrong," a voice said directly behind me, sending shivers down my spine. I looked around only to see the smirk plastered on his handsome face.

"Oh please, you guys both know I'm the strongest one here," I said confidently. As I said that, both boys roared in laughter.

"I see you have jokes, sister," Lucas said as he shook his head and lay back down.

"Do you want us to drag you out of bed?" I asked with my arms folded across my chest.

"Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Thanks sis," he said before he finally closed his eyes.

"Lucas Ferrari, get your lazy ass out of bed this instant! If all of us can get up and get ready for the trip then you will not be any different," I said but all he did was ignore me. I growled in frustration.

"Dude, your sister said get up and as the Alpha Female of this house you are gonna get up," Hayden said from behind me. He didn't like it when people disrespected me, and I'm guessing he's pretty angry right now.

"Lucas, get your ass up NOW!" I shouted for the last time, my fully powered wolf rising in anger of the fact that someone chose to ignore and disrespect her like that. Lucas sat up and raised an eyebrow at my sudden temper. I felt Hayden's arm around my waist and he brought me to his chest. I immediately calmed down. I closed my eyes.

Baby, calm down I'm right here, I heard Hayden's voice in my head as his lips kissed my neck. When I opened my eyes, I saw Lucas staring at me curiously then he got up.

"Sorry sis, I was just joking around," he apologized and I sighed.

"Yeah, I know but my wolf...since she's back with the Alpha blood, she doesn't like anyone disrespecting her. I'm sorry for shouting at you like that," I said as well. He held out his arms and I walked up to him and hugged him.

"Well, I better let go of you now 'cause Alpha boy over there...let's just say if looks could kill, I'd be o the floor in dust," Lucas said and let me go, making me laugh as I turned to look at Hayden.

"Let's just go downstairs," I said walking over to Hayden. As soon as I reached him, he wrapped his arms around me and inhaled my scent probably trying to calm him and his wolf down. I rolled my eyes but wrapped my arms around his neck none-the-less.

When we got downstairs, we heard shouting. I looked up confused at Hayden but he had the same confused look in his eyes.

"What did he do to you? Where is the asshole anyway?!" James shouted.

"Everybody stop," Hayden said using his Alpha command. The whole room went silent and turned to look at him, "what's going on?"

"No one can find Jonah, and James here is being an asswipe," Conner answered. James growled at him but calmed down when Lilly whispered in his ear. I looked around the room and found that Jenna was sitting in the couch with tears falling down her eyes. I rushed over to her and hushed her.

"What's wrong with her?" I asked the rest of them not taking my eyes of Jenna.

"Long story short, Jonah's gone," Abi said sitting beside Conner.

"And how does that affect her?" Hayden asked. I glared at him for being rude but all he did was roll his eyes.

"Jonah's her mate, and this idiot told him to stay clear from her," Conner said. I glared up at James now. I knew it, Jenna is Jonah's mate.

"And who gave you permission to interfere in her life like that?" I asked him.

"First of all, I didn't know he was her mate otherwise I wouldn't of threatened him like that and--"

"Wait, you threatened your best friend?" Maya asked. She was seated on the other side of Jenna trying to calm her down with me.

 "Yeah, he threatened all of us don't worry," Logan said.

"But wouldn't it have been better to know that one of your best friends was her mate, rather than someone you have never seen in your life?" I asked.

"Don't mean to interrupt or anything, but I kinda get where he's coming from Zara," Lucas said, "Remember when I had a lovely 'chat' with Kevin." I rolled my eyes.

"His name was Kyle, Lucas," I corrected him.

"Who's Kyle?" Hayden asked his voice filled with jealousy.

"Oh, Alpha boy's getting jealous," one of Lucas' friends said making then all laugh.

"Guys, that's enough," I said to them looking at Lucas for some help to shut them up before Hayden did.

"Aright guys, she's right let's not get carried away with all this," Lucas said as well. They calmed down with all the teasing (thankfully). I paid my attention back to Jenna, who by now had settled down.

"Do you know when he left?" I asked her. She didn’t look up but answered none-the-less.

"We had a fight last night in the woods and he just left. I don't know where he went," she said then groaned, "My chest has been burning ever since I woke up this morning."

"A slight burn or a...throw in the fire burn?" Abi asked her. I raised an eyebrow at her logic but she just shrugged it off.

"Just a slight on and off burn," Jenna said. Abi nodded and whispered something in Conner's ear. I saw him nod then looked at Hayden. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and I saw him breathe out. He made eye contact with me and then I heard his voice in my head.

Since it's a slight burn, it not because he's cheating or having sex with anyone. It's because of the distance, he said. I nodded and sighed in relief. At least the Jonah I know isn't completely crazy and heartless. But if he did cheat on her, knowing that she was his mate, I'd definitely hate him. I HATE cheaters.

"Have you guys..." I was going to ask but trailed off, "where is Jonah likely to go?" The whole room went thinking.

"He would be running around the woods, trying to lose his anger," Logan suggested.

"Yeah, but I don't think he would've stayed in the woods the whole night and not come back this morning," Conner said.

"He would've gone at Bryon's," Maya suggested.

"That does make sense, it's the closest pack to us," Hayden put in. The guys nodded and looked around and I stared at them all.

"Well, isn't someone gonna call?" I asked blankly then they all searched for the phone. I rolled my eyes at them and muttered 'idiots' under my breath. Logan had finally found the phone but he just stood there.

"What do I do now?" he asked. I slapped my forehead with my palm while Maya and Jenna let out a chuckle.

"Give me the phone," I said to him with a smile on my face. He handed me the phone and I searched through the phone's contacts then when I found Bryon's name, I hit 'send' and placed the phone to my ear. After a few rings, he finally answered.

"Bryon's Stripping Business at your service. Now, it is a legal business where either you are stripped or stripped for, so how may I help you?" Bryon said and I laughed at him.

"What the hell, Bryon?"

"Oh, so Zara is the one who called my services. Well...we are in need of female strippers or would you rather have one of my girls strip for you?" he asked me. I doubled in laughter as I threw myself down on the couch.

"No Bryon, I actually called for a reason, you know. Besides, why would I join Bryon's Stripping Business?"

"Because you know I'm awesome," he offered and I rolled my eyes, "and don't you dare roll your eyes at me."

"I don't even want to know how you knew I did that," I said with a chuckle, "back to the point of my call, is Jonah there?"

"Why, who's asking?"

"The whole pack is worried about him besides, we were suppose to leave by noon and no one is making an attempt to get moving,"

"I told him the Triton's would come searching for him like the cops,"

"We're not like the cops, but we are worried about him. Is he anywhere near you by any chance?"

"Yeah, hold on," Bryon said then I heard the phone pass over to someone.

"Yes, Zara," Jonah's voice leaked through.

"We have been looking for you from...like forever and all you have to say to me is 'yes Zara'?"

 "It's not like I matter there anyway. That's exactly what Jenna and James told me yesterday,"

"They said that you didn't matter here?" I asked as I glared at James.

"I didn’t say that to him!" James shouted but I ignored him and listened to what Jonah had to say.

"Fine, he didn't actually say that...but he made me feel that way," Jonah added.

"Seriously, Jonah?" I said, "come on dude, you're being a priss right now. Come back so I can kick your ass," I joked.

"What's the sense coming back Zara? I guess by now you know that Jenna's my mate but it's not like she wants me anyway, so why should I come back?"

 "Wait, Jenna rejected you, yet she's the one crying right now?" I wondered. Then I looked at Jenna to see her looking at me with a sad look in her eyes.

"Well, I don't even know what she wants anymore. First, she's flirting with me and liking me then the next day, she's throwing herself at Logan,"

"Throwing herself at Jonah, you say," I said keeping eye contact with Jenna. She broke it and looked away guiltily.

"Can I talk to him for a second?" she asked me then I sighed.

"Uhh...Jonah she wants to talk to you," I said and he scoffed.

"What now, didn't she say everything she wanted to say last night?" he said and tears ran down Jenna's cheeks. She got up and ran out of the room, Maya following after her.

"You're on speaker you know. You didn't have to be so mean," I scolded him.

"Shit, I...I didn't know, did she hear everything I said? Wait, if I'm on speaker then that means James and Logan's there, right?"

"Yeah, they are here, they're both here,"

"Good, I hate you guys," he said through the phone.

"Hey, I didn't do anything," Logan whined.

"Yeah, you did which is why I'm stuck in this damn situation," Jonah replied.

"Aright, let's not argue over the phone, please," I said ending all arguments, "Jonah, Hayden and I will come and pick you up, got it. We need to leave for the camping trip."

"Do I have to?" he asked whining like a five year old baby. I laughed.

"Yes, you have to,"

"But, James is gonna kick my ass because I'm Jenna's mate,"

"Believe me, he won't be able to lay a finger on you while I'm here," I said glaring heavily at James. He nervously ran his hand through hair as he tried to avoid my gaze.

"Thank you, your highness," he said making me smile.

 "You're very welcome," I said, "we'll be there in about ten minutes, so be ready. When you get here, just get ready because whether you like it or not, you're going on that camping trip."

"But Zara---"

"No if, and or buts’; you're going. Be ready when we get there," I said then hung up the phone. I turned to look at Hayden about to ask him to go get some car keys but he just twisted the keys with his index finger.

"Ready when you are," he said.

"Aright, let's go," I said and we were both out the door. We got into Hayden's sports car (I honestly don't know why he chose that car anyway) and drove in the direction to Bryon's territory.
