《Call Me Cute》Chapter Three

Why....?

"Oh perfect! Dakota, Frankie can you guys bring the test papers from the teacher's lounge? Thanks!"

Why?

"Oh Dakota Frankie, you two again, oh you're here for test papers? I see."

You two again...?

"I'm so happy to see you guys getting along, alright off to class."

Getting along?

Frankie stilled, having the third teacher speak to them. She looked down at the test papers in hand and felt the urge to just throw them as far as she could with all her might.

She didn't get it.

"Why are you still here?" She asked pathetically.

A entire week has gone by since her decision to avoid Dakota Song; she figured it would be easy as the school was relatively big and she wasn't exactly the type to stand out.

She didn't think it would be a common occurrence to constantly run into the very person she was trying to avoid.

PE!

"Frankie why don't you pair up with Dakota?"

Math!

"Frankie, could you help Dakota with this question, you understood it well."

English!

"Dakota, well done! Miss Bennett maybe you could learn a thing or two from him."

Lunch!!!

"Oh Frankie you're alone? Where's that guy? Dakota?"

He was everywhere!!! And everyone kept putting them together!

It's almost like...like....he's a cockroach.

She turned to glare up at him, his calm nonchalant behavior pissing her off more.

As a result of being around him for days her body thankfully doesn't have a drastic reaction to him anymore. Still her hatred and disgust leaves her stomach in knots.

"Don't ask questions I can't answer." He replied not even bothering to look in her direction.

"Frickin' cockroach." She spat under her breath, as she walked ahead; smirking at the shocked gasped that left Dakota's lips.

"I'd ask you the same question! It's like you're stuck to me!" He replied jogging to catch back up with her.

"You're the leech!". She yelled walking faster, not wanting to be around him anymore. It's gotten so bad that people are beginning to associate them; even her own friends.

"Just what is your problem with me? I didn't do anything to you." He yelled once he caught up.

"Yet."

"Ugh you're impossible!"

He groaned walking past her, but he brushed her hand causing Frankie to yelp and drop the test papers. Dakota stopped to watch her sigh and pick them up.

Not saying anything he left her behind.

Frankie glared at his retreating figure.

Typical guy...of course he wouldn't help.

She sighed knowing that her attitude towards him wasn't exactly grand but she couldn't help it. She hated him, he made her sick.

It's not something she could just be polite about; well....................mmmm.

No. Ew. No way was she gonna be nice to a boy. She looked around at the scattered papers in annoyance.

How'd it even get like this?

She reached for the rest of them just as someone else did. Their hands touched and quickly she pulled back to meet their eyes, a shock running through her fingers to see it was........... Dakota.

"Damn, can you not look at me like I'm worse than the shit under your shoe."

He shook his head, handing her the papers he gathered.

"I thought you left. Why are you here?"

He didn't look up as he answered and continue to pick up the papers.

"They have a test going on, we couldn't delay delivering the papers, so I went to give her my batch first." He explained calmly.

Frankie stared at him for a moment watching his dark hair bounce around on top of his head, it had a lot of volume.

It looked fluffy....

She didn't bother to share her surprise in his consideration and instead finished picking you the rest.

"Ah thank you kids!" The teacher smiled taking the papers and closing the door.

Dakota glanced at a quiet Frankie.

Usually from these forced situations where they have to work together, the minute they were finished she'd leave him after giving him the 'You're nothing but a bug on this earth' Look.

He turned to leave, the small girl walking right by him. He stared at her, wondering why she was following him much less being so quiet.

After another moment he spoke not being able to handle it anymore.

"Ugh what! You're being creepy! Why are you following me??" He glared fed up with her sudden change in behavior.

".....nk...ou...." She mumbled holding her head down and avoiding his gaze.

"Huh?"

"....ank...you..."

Dakota leaned in trying to hear her better.

"What? I can't hea- AGHHH."

He hunched over holding his stomach the blow from her tiny fist leaving him in pain.

"I said thank you! Don't come so close to me you frickin cockroach!!" She glared and stomped off down the hall looking utterly disgusted as usual.

Dakota sighed a faint smile on his lips despite the pain he was currently in.

She could make an expression like that...?

He thought recalling the redness of her cheeks.

She was embarrassed....

He chuckled the idea of the little devil being embarrassed amused him.

"Oiiiii Frany! Are you listening?"

Frankie groaned as an answer to her friend's question.

"She looks half dead." Cammy Fent joked, Frankie was leaning against her hand an empty look in her eyes.

"Ugh really I don't even know why I bother!" Swan Mason sighed stuffing her face with cafeteria food.

"You good?"

Frankie didn't bother to answer Cammy.

She was dazed from what happened this morning.

She willingly touched a male.

Of course all she did really was punch him and it was through his clothing but it was still physical contact, what's worse she told that waste of space thank you.

She had manners; she knew how to show gratitude and while she battled for a good few minutes whether or not to even show it, she did so anyway as she felt it was the right thing to do; even if he is a rat.

"Why are men still alive?" She asked innocently.

Cammy laughed while Swan shook her head in disappointment.

"We've been over this Fran, Guys aren't that bad you know."

"You know she doesn't hear reason when it comes to guys!" Cammy smiled watching Swan glare at her.

"Is that why you're all spacey?"

"I'm living in a cruel world." Frankie stated seriously, this made Cammy howl louder, Frankie's usual 'men are trash' melancholy lunch moments were her biggest source of humor.

Frankie's friends have been with her since diaper days, so they were well versed in Frankie-ology.

They knew how to handle her and how to help her if she ever needed it.

Her condition was something they always took seriously and tried their best not to trigger it. So introducing boyfriends were always a struggle but an entertainment for Cammy.

Frankie pushed around the large broccoli on her plate and glanced up just in time to see her angel. She gasped watching him.

He looked as regal and beautiful as he always did. His blond hair perfectly styled and his blue eyes so pure and captivating.

"Ugh there she goes again making heart eyes at Blondie." Cammy shook her head in disappointment.

"You know for someone who hates guys, how can you love the trashiest of them all?" Swan frowned sipping her drink.

"What? How dare you! Nathan is far from trash, if anything he's golden poop!"

"I don't think that sounds as flattering as you think it sounds." Cammy replied pulling a face.

Frankie ignored them watching her angel greet his friends and smile at something they said.

Ah he's so perfect.

"You're delusional. Come on let's go, we have class." Swan urged them to move.

Packing up, they emptied their trays and left the cafeteria. Frankie looked back, wanting to steal a glance at Nathan one last time only to see a familiar person greet him.

Dakota??

She gawked in shock as the cafeteria door closed on the scene before her.

How does my angel know Dakota?

Frankie entered her house exhausted from today's events. She went into the kitchen and smiled seeing her Step-dad and he returned the gesture.

He thankfully didn't move to hug her or question her odd move of going to the other side of the kitchen to avoid him.

Her family was also aware of her condition, at first they were skeptical about it; but with her constantly puking, flaring up in blind anger or fainting from being near men they figured it must be true. Of course her fainting, thankfully no longer happens as much and really the time with Dakota was the first time in four years she reacted so strongly.

"I hear they're keeping a party at the college, you plan to go?" Her Dad asked scrolling through something on his tablet, his glasses reflecting the light. She turned to pull a canned soda from the fridge and shook her head.

Her dad was a college lecture for the local college here.

"No I don't feel like it this time."

"Haha the last time you went you were so happy I figured you'd want to again."

She smiled recalling it.

Frankie liked parties, she likes the buzzing feeling and the excitement that came from people just dancing and having fun.

Of course she danced with mostly women but that didn't matter to her, plus men straight up ignored her when she went. To some that might've been insulting but it was a high for Frankie.

"Is mom coming home yet?"

"Mm... She said she'd be late. I can order something for us to eat."

"Yes! I want garlic bread and spicy wings" she grinned watching her dad laugh.

"Alright alright, I'll call you when it's here."

"Thanks!"

She sprinted up the stairs and into her room. She was glad she's able to speak with her Dad, he was similar to her angel, he wasn't entirely perfect but he was enough to not make her sick. He even treats her and her mom fairly well.

Frankie laughed, brushing off the crumbs on her hands from the last piece of garlic bread she just ate. She was currently enjoying a rom-com, with a stereotypical plot line but it was still funny.

She paused the film and went to throw away her waste when her phone rang off.

"Hey Swan what's-"

"Caaan...you...come get meee?" Swan sung obviously drunk off her ass.

"Why are you drunk?"

"Whaa? What you mean why!? I'm at a party whooooo!!"

"Huh?? You didn't tell me about-"

"I did you weren't listening!"

She thought back to earlier today when they were at lunch.

Was it back then?

"Ugh okay! Where are you?"

"Burrrn Ruuawdge college"

Burn Ruuawdge? What college was- oh! Burn Ridge!

That's the college party her dad mentioned earlier. She sighed and quickly went to put something more appropriate on.

If she knew Swan was going she'd have went with her. She didn't like it when her friends were out and about in the company of men without her. She feared they might harm them and didn't know what she'd do if any of them ever got hurt.

She went downstairs to see her mom and dad cuddled on the sofa watching a movie.

"I'm gonna go pick up Swan from a party!" She yelled going to the door and picking up the key off the key rack.

"Okay be safe!" Her mom called out.

Frankie could feel the music from the speakers vibrate down to her very bone.

She looked into the dimly lit room and the countless conjoined bodies around her. She could barely see anything.

She cursed herself silently, she should've told Swan to meet her outside so as to avoid all this.

She wasn't thinking.

She pushed through the unknown bodies, not knowing whether they were female or male, another reason why parties were so great to her. She couldn't tell the gender of anyone by just looking as you couldn't see anything to begin with.

It was one of the few places she could just relax.

She sighed having walked the entire dancefloor and still no sign of Swan. She decided to call hoping that even with the loud music she'd pick up. She looked around for the staircase, as she put the phone to ear and smiled.

Upstairs was usually more quiet.

The phone kept ringing but no answer.

She frowned fully coming up the stairs, to see a few people were kissing in the corners and touching each other. She ignored them, the sight something she's accustomed to.

She groaned.

Still nothing.

She went to call again when suddenly her phone rang.

It was Cammy.

"Hey Frany- Hey no! Stop it! Ugh....hey I have Swan so don't worry."

"How'd you end up with her?"

"The idiot showed up at my place a minute ago! Looks like she took a taxi."

Frankie sighed feeling relived, she didn't like that Swan took a taxi in her state but she's glad she made it to someplace safe.

"Alright, I'll be leaving here then!"

"Sure text me when you get- I will skin you alive Swam! Sit down! text me when you get home."

"Hahaha, sure thing!"

She hung up and went to leave when suddenly a rather tall girl pushed past her, slamming into her shoulder; to enter the bathroom. She winced the girl's hit leaving her with some pain. She walked past planning to leave, until she saw her emptying her guts, her long blonde hair getting into the toilet.

Frankie didn't think twice and went to hold her hair back. She could sympathize with the situation having been there once.

The girl's body shook as she did her deed.

Frankie patted her back, indicating to her that she was there and willing to help.

"It's okay take your time."

Oh...her back is pretty wide....

She groaned into the toilet bowl, the stench sickening. Reaching over, she flushed it allowing her to finish what she started.

The girl stayed hunched over unmoving; more or likely unable to move as that would just get her puking again.

Frankie glanced up to see people were staring at them from outside the bathroom and got up to close the door.

As she returned the girl started to puke again. In a panic to not have her hair in the toilet, Frankie pulled on it to pull her head back, only to have a wig come off in her hands.

Eh??? A wig...? A wig?!?

Frankie stared at the blonde wig she held in her hands, caught off guard but not really surprised until she looked up.

Ah.

She pushed herself up against the door her shock turning into pure horror.

The girl leaned against the toilet, looking exhausted and fully drained. On her head was a wig cap, a few hair pins keeping their real hair in place. Their small red dress rolled up their thighs while a sleeve feel off their shoulder in the most seductive way. The girl groaned, her lashes long and thick, her lips a rosy red and her nails matching her dress.

Frankie's breathing went shallow; She stared at the girl who had a very familiar face.

No....maybe I'm just.... seeing thin-

"Stomach.....ahh...my stomach hurts...." The girl groaned her voice deep and coarse, the voice of Dakota reaching Frankie's ear and her mind went blank.

You're joking......

She began to panic.

Why was Dakota Song wearing a dress in full makeup at a college party?

Why was Dakota Song wearing a wig??

Why was Dakota Song crossdressing!!?
