《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 17

"What happened to you last night?" Jirou asked you as she applied a face mask.

You had spent most of your Saturday in your room, lounging the day away, until Jirou messaged you for a girl's night. The two of you watched movies, snacked, and were now partaking in some selfcare. You had spent the entirety of last night with Bakugou and you hadn't noticed until you got back that Mina had been trying to invite you to hang with the girls.

"Mina was texting you all night, she even went to your door, thinking you were ignoring her."

You couldn't help but laugh, you didn't mean to ignore Mina you were just a bit preoccupied. You'd put a headband on, picked a green colored face mask and began applying it before you gave her an answer.

"I was just... busy." You didn't really know what to tell her. You didn't want to lie but you'd also asked Bakugou to keep what was going on a secret, that meant you needed to as well.

"Busy with Bakugou?" she gave you a knowing smile.

Well, it's not like you told her, she guessed, what was the harm, right?

"Actually, yes." You were hesitant to say the words, but part of you was glad that you both could talk about this. It was a little nerve-racking keeping this to your self all the time.

Her face turned to one of surprise, "No way, you never brought up what happened with you both, I was just guessing. What did you guys do?"

"Well," suddenly a hard knock came from your door. "Hold that thought." You got up, making your way to your door, figuring it was your brother or Mina you swung the door open. "What do you want?" Your mouth fell slightly open in surprise as Bakugou stood on the other side of the door. He was wearing his usual muscle tank and shorts. Your eyes couldn't help but wander over him. He looked down at you, his face completely blank.

"Hot," was all he said, referring to your face mask.

You could feel your face heat up and if the mask hadn't hidden your face you were sure it would be red.

"Why are you here?" you questioned, collecting yourself.

He pushed passed you, walking into your room. "Did I leave one of my textbooks here the other day?" Freezing in his tracks he noticed Jirou sitting on your floor.

She glanced up at him, "Uh, sup?"

Not giving her a response, he simply turned to look at you. "So, uh, have you seen my book or not?"

"I'm afraid I haven't." you said trying to hide your smile.

"Uh, right." He left without another word, turning down the hall to go back to wherever he had come from. You closed the door and turned to face Jirou, but you couldn't quite look her in her eyes.

"A lost textbook huh? And why would his book be in your room?" You could hear the grin in her voice. At least you could blame Bakugou for Jirou knowing, even though you had already spilled before he came to your room.

"You know, I'm not sure. Maybe he was lost?" you avoided her question.

She gave you a look, "Come on now, you said you'd tell me." With a deep breath you filled her in on everything since your last talk. Finally telling her why you didn't hang out with them last night, that Katsuki had taken you to his place of peace. "That sounds creepy, he took you out into the middle of the woods. And wouldn't tell you where you were going?"

You couldn't hold back the laugh when you saw her expression. "Trust me, I thought the same thing, but I trust him, and it was actually really nice."

"Oh, you've got it bad," She laid back on the floor staring up at your ceiling.

"Wha- no I don't", you shoved her lightly, like it would add to your defense.

"Right," she elongated her words emphasizing her sarcasm. "I saw the way you looked at him when you opened the door. You had to practically pick your jaw up off the floor." She laughed at your expression. "You are literal putty in his hands. What happened to you?"

"What do you mean?" Your jaw falling open again in shock at what she had told you.

She lifted her hands up in surrender, "I didn't mean it like that. I just meant when you first got here you seemed intimidating as hell and now it just seems like you've lost your edge."

"My edge?" Curiosity plain on your face.

"You had a certain intensity about you, that's why every girl, except for Mina of course, was afraid to approach you. And then Mineta adding on that you were some famous model from America. Like, no offense, we all thought you were gonna be mean and snobby. I'm not saying I don't like this side of you, because I do, I would much prefer to be your friend. But it is definitely weird to see such a soft side between you and Bakugou."

"You guys thought I was mean?" To be fair you had been a little off putting because of your brother's presence. At the time you didn't want to be in the same room as your brother much less the same school. It didn't help that you had been surrounded by actual snobby girls in America and didn't know how to interact with girls on a normal level. But now that you'd fixed your relationship with your brother and Mina brought you out of your shell with your classmates you had been nicer. But you hadn't noticed that you acted that much different with Bakugou.

"Okay, not mean, but definitely intimidating."

The topic changed after that. Returning to more normal conversation. But you couldn't get the idea out of your head, you'd lost your edge. You also didn't like the idea that you were putty in Bakugou's hands, if Jirou picked up on it, then there was a chance your brother could too.

Jirou ended up staying over at your dorm for the night and the next day you both caught up on your homework. The rest of your Sunday was uneventful, and it wasn't long until Monday came along and your found yourself sitting in class. Your morning classes were as boring as ever, it was the afternoon hero classes that everyone looked forward to. After lunch your class regrouped with Aizawa in one of the many school training rooms.

"Alright, everyone who's decided on a partner group up and begin working, everyone who hasn't stay here. Remember this is time to prepare for the exercise with Shiketsu High. Work on things that you are lacking in to help prepare you for anything that could happen."

The class began to move, and you turned to Mina and Jirou.

"Y/N, oh my god, I'm so sorry. We kinda made groups at Momo's room Friday and you weren't there... but I'm sure Aizawa has someone for you to work with!" she tried to smile at you before they all disappeared.

Great, you thought, just great. Turning to Aizawa you overheard your brother.

"Sorry man, she asked to be partners on Friday, and it wouldn't have been manly of me to turn her down."

"But we're always partners." Bakugou growled at your brother. E only gave him an apologetic look before he backed away. Bakugou stomped to join the group of students without partners, crossing his arms with a pouty look.

Aizawa turned to look at you and your classmates. "I'll give you one last chance to choose a partner before I assign at random."

You glanced at the few students around you. Honestly, you didn't want to work with any of them.

"Hey, Y/N, want to be partners?" Mineta asked you with a sly smile.

"Uhhh, not really."

"Why not?" he whined.

"Because she already has a partner, extra." Bakugou grabbed your arm and dragged you away.

"Who said I wanted to be your partner?" You asked when he finally stopped across the room.

He turned to look at you with a raised eyebrow, "You didn't have to. Who would want to work with losers like them? I'm your best option."

Crossing your arms, you said, "They're our classmates not losers."

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He stared at you a moment before continuing, "Let's start easy, no quirks, land a punch on me and we can move on."

"You can't be serious." You said with an incredulous look. The only answer he gave you was a bend of his fingers in a come at me motion.

Taking a deep breath, you stood there a moment, sizing up the situation. Figuring you had nothing to lose you lunged towards him. He dodged you easily, side stepping out of the way. You went again, missed. Swinging again, hoping to catch him by moving quicker, he still dodged your punch. Again and again he would move out of the way before you could land a hit.

You huffed in frustration, "Why can't I just use my quirk?"

He looked at you with a blank face, "What would happen if you went against someone like Aizawa? Could you handle a match like that?"

"What does it matter? Not many people have a quirk like his." You retorted.

"Fine," he crossed his arms. "Do you have enough control of your quirk right now to manipulate multiple things at once? Can you use telekinesis on two people at the same time?"

Averting your gaze from him you mumbled, "Not exactly." That was something you had been working on, but it wasn't something you could readily do yet.

He gave you an exasperated look, "Then that's why we're doing this."

You rubbed your face with your hands, closing your eyes you took a deep breath. It would be an understatement to say you were frustrated. It's not like you were that bad, you could hold your own against a lot of your classmates, but you didn't realize how much you relied on your quirk.

"Are you going to do anything? Or are you just going to continue to dodge me?"

"You're obviously not ready for counterattacks."

"Come on, how am I supposed to do anything if you just dodge my every move?" he was starting to get on your nerves.

"Do you really think you'd stand a chance? I'd take you down in 3 seconds flat." He looked at you in all seriousness. You knew he wasn't joking, but you hated that he only moved out of the way. It was frustrating because it made you feel as though you weren't worth fighting. It was stupid, you knew he was just trying to help but it only ended up irking you more than he knew.

Instead of leaving it at that, your irritation got the best of you. "I'd like to see you try."

He sighed, shrugging, "Your funeral."

You didn't wait, you just lunged for him, hoping for some kind of surprise. At first it looked like this was it, you would have landed your first hit. But he didn't let you get to far, before he grabbed your wrist and spun it behind you. He kicked your feet out from under you and pinned you to the ground.

"Told you, dumbass." He got up and looked down at you with an amused sort of smile. You rolled onto your back to face him; a grimace stuck to your face. "I don't know what Kiri was talking about, you're really bad at this."

That's it. Pushing to your side you swung your leg hitting Bakugou at his ankles, causing him to land on the floor next to you.

"Ha, got you!" you smirked at him, sticking your tongue out at him like a toddler.

"That was a cheap shot." He said, clearly annoyed as he picked himself up off the ground.

"Whatever, I still got you." You smiled, happy with yourself for getting a hit at least once. You heard Aizawa calling for the attention of the class, dismissing you for the day.

Bakugou rolled his eyes at you, walking towards you, offering his hand so you'd get up from the floor. "We'll start again tomorrow. Bring you're A-game because I'm done going easy on you."
