Colby put Jake next to Kat and took his candle back.
"Colby, I don't really want you to hear this, so please can you go and sit at the table?" Jake asked politely.
"Why can't I hear it?" Colby said, crossing his arms to look confident.
"YOU WOULDNT UNDERSTAND! SO GO SIT DOWN! NOW!" Jake screamed at Colby so loud it made him jump. Colby ran to the kitchen table and sat down, not taking his beady eyes off Jake and Kat.
Colby sat there for a while, watching Jake whisper into Katrina's ear, despite the fact that he couldn't understand a word they were saying.
After a few minutes, Jake took a deep breath, and pulled the knife from his pocket. He looked over at Colby's worried face and then diverted his gaze back to the sharp blade in front of him.
"J-J-Jake, W-what are you doing?" Colby stuttered as he got out of his seat. He started walking towards Jake and Kat, who were sitting next to each other on the floor by the staircase.
"Colby! I told you to stay at the table!" Jake yelled
"Jake! Put the knife down, now!"
"No," Jake responded.
Jake lifted the knife to his neck.
"JAKE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!" Colby shouted as he took a few steps towards Jake and Kat.
Jake quickly rose to his feet. "Stop! Don't come any closer!" He threatened as he pointed the knife at Colby.
Colby stepped back, not taking his eyes off the knife pointed at him.
"What are you doing Jake?" Colby asked, trying to act calm.
"What I need to," Jake said as he leapt forward and plunged the sharp knife into Colby's throat. Colby gagged and fell to the floor as blood poured violently from his mouth and neck.
"I warned you, Colby," Jake said, not noticing the shadowy figure behind him.
