《The Midnight Man》Chapter 8 - Alive

Colby walked forward cautiously, as he held out his small candle to light the way. When he saw who it was, he almost dropped his candle in shock. It was Jake.
"JAKE! YOUR ALIVE! YOUR ACTUALLY ALIVE!!!"
Colby had hope for the first time in hours! Jake was alive! Colby kneeled down beside Jake and put his candle on the floor. Jake was covered in dark red blood from head to toe, and he was struggling to breathe.
"Don't worry, Jake, It's gonna be fine, you're going to make it!" Colby said, trying to encourage Jake, and himself.
"Where's Kat?" Jake said, trying to lift his head to look around. "Ouch!" Jake yelled when his head hit the ground hard. He didn't have much strength left; He could barely lift his head now.
Colby lowered his head. "She, didn't make it. I'm so sorry! I tried to protect her but-"
"Where is she?" Jake said sternly.
"She's dead, Jake." Colby repeated.
"COLBY!" Jake yelled, making Colby jump. "Where is Katrina?"
"Shes by the stairs." Colby said reluctantly.
"Take me to her." Jake demanded. "NOW!" He screamed, when Colby didn't move.
"Jake, KATRINA IS DEAD!"
"TAKE ME TO KATRINA, COLBY! TAKE ME TO HER! NOW!"
"Or what?" Colby said, confidently.
"Or this." Jake said, as he pulled out a knife from his pocket. "Be a good boy Colby, and take me to Kat. Or else." He said holding up the knife.
Colby was shocked, would Jake actually kill him? He wasn't acting himself. Something was wrong. But what? Could it be the fact he was in pain? Shock? Colby had no choice. Jake had a knife!
"J-Jake. P-put the knife down." Colby said, not taking his eyes off the blood stained blade in front of him.

"NO! You don't tell me what to do Colby, I DO!" Jake shouted in Colby's face. "I'm the one with the knife, Colby. I'm the one with the power! Now do what i say!"
Jake grabbed Colby's wrist and held the knife above it. He gently lowered the knife into Colby's arm, but not hard enough to make blood come out, but hard enough to scare him. He pressed a bit harder, and then harder again, until the knife had pierced Colby's skin. Colby tried to get free, but Jake was too strong.
"Take me to Katrina, Colby!" Jake said, squeezing Colby's arm so hard, Colby thought it would burst! "Take me to-"
"OK! OK I'LL TAKE YOU TO HER! JUST STOP! IT HURTS!" Colby screamed, about to start crying again.
Jake removed the knife, and a stream of blood dripped out. The blood fell onto Colby's leg and he felt like he was going to pass out. Jake would have killed him! But why does he want to see Katrina so badly? Jake let go of Colby's arm and put the candle carefully in his hand, trying not to blow it out. He looked up at Colby, waiting. Colby got up and looked down at Jake. He grabbed Jake's arms and started walking slowly towards Katrina.
Would Colby regret this?
