Destiny sat next to Carlisle watching the graduation.
"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answer were things like astronaut, president, or in my case, a princess." Some people chuckled and Destiny turned to Carlisle.
"I wanted to be able to work at Nickelodeon because I thought that I could meet all the characters. It was sad awakening when I turned 7 and learned about animation." Carlisle covered his mouth as he chuckled.
"We were 10, they asked again and we answered: rockstar, cowboy, or in my case, a gold medallist." Destiny awed at that.
"Well, now that we've grown up. They want a serious answer. Well, how about this... Who the hell knows?" There was lots of whoops and claps in the crowd.
"This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions. This is the time to make mistakes."
"Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere." Carlisle snorted as Destiny blushed. She had experienced that exact situation when she was younger.
"Fall in love... A lot." They looked at each other and stuck their tongues out.
"Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that."
"Change your mind and change it again because nothing's permanent. So make as many mistakes as you can, so that someday when they ask us what we want to be. We won't have to guess. We'll know." Everyone erupted in applause.
-----
Carlisle and Destiny walked in the forest together to get away from all the noise.
"I liked that speech." Destiny commented.
"I did as well." Carlisle picked her up. She squealed happily kissing his cold forehead.
"Carlisle!" Edward yelled, "Alice had a vision."
----
"They'll be here in 4 days." Alice informed them
"This could turn into a bloodbath." Carlisle whispered and Destiny nodded in agreement.
"Who's behind it?" Edward asked.
"I didn't see anyone I recognized... Maybe one."
Edward nodded "I know his face, a city local, Riley Biers. He didn't start this."

"Whoever did is staying out of the action." Alice sighed.
"They're playing with the blind spots in your vision." Carlisle stated.
"Wow, that's smart." Destiny muttered breathing tensely.
"Either way, the army's coming and there aren't enough of us to protect the town." Jasper stated.
"Hold up. What damn army?" Jacob asked pitching in his thoughts.
"Newborns of our kind." Carlisle answered.
"What are they after?"
"They were passing around Bella's scent." The human brunette tensed at Alice's statement, "A red blouse."
"They're after Bella. What the hell does this mean?"
"It means a bloody fight with lives lost." Carlisle answered honestly. Destiny rubbed his hand as the wolves looked at each other communicating silently.
"Alright, We're in." Jacob stated.
"No." Bella stated, "You'll get yourself killed no way."
"Bella, this is just about you. Seattle won't hold them for long and if they come to Forks, every human here is in danger. Don't be selfish because everyone's life is at stake not just yours, ours, or the wolves." Destiny scolded.
"And besides, I wasn't asking for permission." Jacob added.
"Edward..." Destiny rolled her eyes as she begged him.
"It mean more protection for you and the town."
"Jacob." The tanned boy looked at Carlisle "Do you believe that Sam could come to an... understanding.
"As long as we get to kill some vampires." He said in a slightly snarky tone.
"Jasper?"
He took a moment "They'll give us the numbers. Newborns won't know they even exist. It'll give us an edge."
"We'll need to coordinate." Carlisle announced getting up.
"Carlisle. They're gonna get hurt." Bella attempt to persuade him.
"Bella, everyone will be able to get hurt. Think of this. 5 newborns teaming Edward, taking him down with no back up because everyone is fighting 5 of their own." Destiny stated. Bella swallowed before sitting.
"We'll all train. Hone our skills. Dealing with newborns require knowledge that Jasper has. Your pack is welcome to join us."

"Name the time and place." Jacob walked in closer glancing toward the snow colored blonde on his side.
"Jake, you don't know what you're getting yourself into." Bella looked him in the eyes. The boy scoffed.
"Bella..." He said almost endearingly. "You say that like you do. This is what we do. You should be happy, we're working together. You wanted this."
Bella nodded blinking away tears.
Carlisle and Jacob shook on it and nodded.
"We'll be there."
"We'll be waiting."
------
Destiny watched excitedly as Emmett was thrown by Jasper.
"Again." He roared from the other side of the clearing.
Bella and Edward joined them and not too long after that, the wolves began crawling from the trees. Destiny remember the black one and by his look, he remembered her, too.
"They don't even trust us enough to be in their human forms." Edward spat.
"They came. They trusted us enough to understand the threat and teach them." Carlisle stated, "Will you translate?" He asked walking up. Destiny stayed by his side staring the wolves down.
"Welcome, Jasper has experience with newborns. He can teach us how to defeat them." The black wolf looked at Jasper before turning back to Carlisle.
"They want to know how do newborns differ from us." Edward stated.
"They're a great deal stronger than us because their human blood still lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful then in our first few months of this life." He finished leaving the floor to Jasper.
"Carlisle is right..." Destiny tuned the rest out looking up at her mate. His body gave away how precious she was to him. He leaned towards her, blocked her from view when anyone got within 5 feet. Jacob looked at her curiously half paying attention to Jasper.
"Carlisle, babe." She whispered he looked down for a moment.
"Yes?"
"Have you told the wolves about me and Bella." Bella slide to their side.
"Wolves have mates, too. It's called imprinting." She informed. Jake sneeze as she said that ruffling his fur.
"They're so cute. Fluffy." Destiny commented looking at the wolf with snowy white fur and silver highlights in the front. Emmett and Jasper began standing a ways away from each other.
"Don't hold back." Jasper tauted.
"Not in my nature." Emmett retorted.
Destiny watched fascinated. She always found vampire fighting to be intriguing. So brutal like Mortal Kombat.
Carlisle walked into the field rubbing his hands together and Edward stood in front of him.
"Go, Carlisle!" Destiny yelled as Bella elbowed her laughing.
"Edward, knock him dead-" Bella's mouth was covered by Destiny's hand. The blonde cringed as she felt Bella's slimy tongue travel up her palm.
"Ewww. Bell, that's disgusting" The brunette snorted poking her side.
They watched the fight continue. Carlisle held a strength advantage while Edward had a speed advantage. Fortunately for Destiny, the fight was decided when Edward took his eyes off the 'fallen' Carlisle.
Rosalie came with a barrage of punches which Jasper avoided and blocked.
Alice dodged with twirls despite Jasper's blatant attempts at distracting.
All of them were unique. Destiny went up to Carlisle and hugged him as Edward huffed.
----
Destiny panted pushing Carlisle away.
"Hold on, baby." She moaned as she heard the wolves howling
"What do they want?" He asked getting up and pulling on his pants.
"Be nice." She reminded him covering herself with her blanket and looking out the window. There was 3. 2 grey, and the black alpha. The shifted instant trusting the strength in numbers.
"Carlisle. The redhead is on the move into your territory." Sam informed. Carlisle nod.
"Thanks for the information." Carlisle nodded and they quickly left.
"Carlisle?" Destiny whispered. He let out a soft sigh into her neck before carrying her back into the room.
"Let me enjoy this night."
"Very well. Think of this as my going away present then."
"A high quality gift..."
"We'll see... Come back to me."
He nods with a smile before laying down next to her.
