《Lombardi - Finn Shelby》Milo Who?

"I want another baby," I said dancing around with John.
"Really?" Finn asked me looking up from a piece of paper that I knew he couldn't read.
"What's that?" I asked him sitting down next to him.
"I really don't know," Finn sighed passing the sheet.
"I should really teach you to read." I said taking the paper out of his hand.
I read the paper before putting it back on the table.
"Just some people who forgot we were Shelby's, here take John I'll go start tea." I said passing the baby over.
I got up and got our food ready. There was a cheery knock on the door so I ran passing Finn to answer it.
"Hello, are you Roseline Shelby?" A man asked smiling weirdly.
"Yes I am, who are you?" I replied unemotionally contrasting his happy smile.
"I'm Milo Lombardi, I'm your half brother," he told me and I froze in shock.
"Im sorry, but I don't have a brother. I'm an only child." I laughed politely.
"Your dad, well our dad, he had an affair with my mother. It was before you were born," I raised my eyebrow in confusion.
"How do I know you're telling the truth?" I asked suspicious of him.
"Go ask your dad. I do know a lot about you Roseline. I have my birth certificate if you want to see it. Our dad signed it." He said getting it out.
"Not it's fine, why don't you come in." I suggested letting him through.
Finn who had listened to the conversation looked at him just as confused as I was.
"Why don't you sit down. This is my husband Finn and my son. I'm sure you'll get along," I said hurrying out of the room, to the burning food.

"Milo, do you want some, I have enough." I questioned gesturing to the food.
"No thank you Rose, I'm alright." He told me going to talk to Finn.
I traveled to get the food and brought it back into te living room. I placed Finns on the table and rested mine on my lap.
"I'll just go put John to bed," Finn told me leaving the room with the passed out baby.
"So Milo, why are you here?" I asked him eating my burning hot food.
"I wanted to meet the other side of my family," he told me showing a weird glint in his eyes. I nodded not really believing him as Finn sat back down.
"Do you work anywhere around here?" I asked making conversation and he smirked.
"No where specific, just in a pub." He told us and Finns eyebrow rose.
"What pub?" He asked picking his plate up.
"I seemed to have forgotten its name, I'm still quite new here still." He answered suspiciously.
Finn glances towards me in confusion. How did he not know where he's working?
"I should really get going, you know I need to prepare for the job." He told us and I followed him.
"Bye Milo!" I called after him but he was already gone.
I shuffled back inside and sat down again.
"I have a weird feeling about him," I commented.
"Same, I don't think we can trust him. What if he ends up like Grace?" Finn said giving a good suggestion for once.
"Like my dad seeking revenge or one of your brothers old enemies," I listed putting my empty plate down, God I think I inhaled all of that.
"Maybe we should get someone to watch him," Finn replied and I nodded.

"Or search his house. We should act like friends with him until we know the truth." I said taking his plate.
I washed both our plates and Finn stood behind me.
"How about that other baby?" He said picking me up kissing me. I shrugged and he took me to the bedroom.
Whoever this Milo is, I'm going to find out.

Eva had come to join us the next day, she seemed shocked to find out that I had a brother. I mean I was too.
"Are you sure he's really your brother?" She asked playing with John.
"He actually had a birth certificate," I nodded.
"Did you see it?"
"No,"
"Maybe you should see your parents and ask them," Eva suggested making me think.
"Where would I find them? The last time I saw them they were talking about Italy."
"Finn could find out from Tommy or something or you because I know Finn would mess it up," Eva laughed and I hit her lightly.
"He's improving, I swear," I told her taking the fussy baby.
"Right, I'll just go find whatever I can to get a number." I told her.
"Whilst you do that, can I look after John?" Eva asked hopeful."
"I don't know Eva, he'll probably come with us," I told her and she sighed.

Finn's P.O.V
"Do you know if Milo Lombardi works here?" I asked a bartender as he filled up a glass:
"No sorry mate." He answered making me clench my jaw before leaving.
This was the last place I could remember, I had asked Arthur beforehand if he knew any pubs but he only named all the ones I've already been to. I'm sure I've been to all the ones in Birmingham.
This has to be a cover story, I knew it. This guy is so sketchy. I rushed into the car and drove back home. What's this Milo got up his sleeve.

Roseline's P.O.V
Finn was finally back and he painted sitting down.
"Nothing?" I questioned and he shook his head.
"I swear I've been to all the ones in Birmingham, no ones heard of him," Finn said and Eva looked at him in confusion.
"I need to go see Polly, we need to go visit my dreaded parents," I groaned taking his hand.
"Why?" He kissed my small hand.
"I need to get their address, we need to know more about Milo." I told him blushing.
For Gods sake, the butterflies always come.
"We'll bring John with us, I'm sure Pol will like to see John," I added taking John from Eva.
"Okay, I'll guess I'll go now. Bye guys," Eva said getting ready to go.
"Okay Eva, you can look after him next time," I told her letting her out.
"Finn go get the pram," I ordered him waiting for him to do what I said. He got it out and I placed John inside it.
"I'll come with you, I don't want you to be alone if you see him," Finn told me protectively.
"Let's go then," I said grabbing my small bag.
Let's go visit Aunt Pol.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
