《Senior Year》Spa Day/Pool Day

"So, what's the plan for today?" Kat asked, starting a conversation.
There was a a little bit of silence.
"I was thinking of a picnic later on in the day to celebrate the premiere. That reminds me, we have our first interview tonight." Wes said.
Everyone liked that idea, so that was the plan for the day.
After breakfast, you all sat in the living room and watched Let's Make A Deal and The Price is Right. After that, it was already noon. The boys went downstairs to the pool, despite it being October. They said the water's fine, but you girls weren't falling for it. You and the girls went up to Kat and Nathalie's room. They brought out some nail polish and facial masks.
"Nothing like a private spa day." Nathalie said.
Kat turned on her Spotify through her bluetooth speaker.
You did each other's nails, then put the facial masks on your faces.
"Kat, this mask is making my pores tingle." Kaya said.
"Mine too. What kind is it?" you asked.
"It's called Mississippi Mud. It helps with maintaining smooth skin and shrinks blemishes. I got it at a craft show." Kat read off of the jar.
You all got close and Kat took a selfie.
After you all washed the mud off of your faces, you girls went downstairs to fix something for lunch. You went downstairs to get drinks from the pantry. The door behind you opened and Ki Hong was there. He was wet from the pool.
"Hey." he said.
"Hi." you said.
The next thing you know, Ki Hong picks you up and slings you over his shoulder.
"Ki Hong! PUT ME DOWN!" you demanded.
You were kicking and hitting his back, but he ignored your struggles. He brought you out to the pool. The rest of the boys were sitting on lounge chairs.

"Thomas! Tell him to let me go." you said to him.
"Alright mate, that's enough." Thomas said, getting up from his chair.
He took you off of Ki Hong's shoulder and held you bridal style. You expected him to put you down, but he didn't.
"Hold your breath." Thomas said.
"THOMAS! DON'T YOU DARE!" you yelled.
He threw you into the pool!
The water was freezing. You sank to the bottom of the pool. Very quickly, you thought of an idea to trick them. You stayed down. You sent a bubble of air to the surface and got some water in your mouth. The boys saw that you weren't coming up. Thomas dove in and grabbed you. He brought you to the surface. You acted like you were unconscious.
"She's not moving." Thomas said.
Dylan and Dexter pulled you out, while Thomas climbed out. They held you on the concrete.
"Y/n. Y/n! Wake up. Please." Thomas pleaded, holding your face.
You started to "cough" and you spit the water at them.
"Why did you scare us to death?" Will asked.
"You guys scared me to death, so I scared you to death." you said.
You got up from the concrete and Alexander handed you a towel. You went back inside and went up the stairs.
"Y/n, what happened?" Nathalie asked.
"The boys happened. Ki Hong grabbed me and then, Thomas threw me into the pool." you explained.
"That calls for even more payback." Rosa said.
"Already did it. I stayed underwater and the boys got me out. I acted like I was unconscious, then I spit water at them." you explained.
You got in the shower, then went back out into the kitchen.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
