Fade out

A clap resounds through the room as the attention of a bunch of students is directed towards their teacher, Ms. Everborn. The picture of the fierce battle that was projecting from a crystal ball dissipates.

"Alright, class now that you know the extent at which we can harness our powers. Hopefully it'll provide the drive to further your studies."

It was the first day of school for our fellow students at Chantellium Institute. The leading educational place of study for the country of Alzae. Royals and highly gifted citizens of Alzae frequent this institute since it produces the most talented elementalists for the past three decades. The female elementalist, Veronica, graduated from there as a top student.

This particular class is known as the Generation of Stars since the royalty from Alzae, Mavedos, Pharos, Trisdain, and Zrados are all gathered here. These nations are what dominate the planet since 600 years ago, maintaining an equilibrium of constant peace.

The nations are all connected together as one whole continent surrounded by water on all sides. Alzae and Trisdain both occupy the middle of the continent, respectively east and west. Mavedos and Zrados occupy the lands to the north, respectively east and west as well. While the nation of Pharos is the only one to occupy the south. The continent forms the rather peculiar shape of a shield. While a lone continent to the west of the nations, across the water marks the unknown land no human has conquered.

The main driving force that lead to the long term peace, the continent as a whole agreed upon. Before that, there were wars waged upon the continent with Zrados being the main contender to win. However, the people of the other nations struggled and sought out that unknown land in an attempt to secure land that Zrados has not. Little did they know, they would awaken a species that would torment the planet for years to come.

"Now students, we shall begin the class on the fundamentals on the elementalists." Before she could turn around, a male student with platinum blonde hair asked in a graceful manner exuding an aura one would expect from royalty.

"Miss. Everborn, what if we already have extensive knowledge on the subject?"

"Ah, good question, Klein Trisdain. If anyone here can produce their element, they are allowed to be excused from class for the next two weeks. However, if you're able to turn a part of your body into your element like Veronica or Reinhart, then you'll be excused from class. Any of those individuals who require advice can ask for my guidance or any of the other teachers' after the respective class is over."

Out of the twenty students in the class, 16 produced their element. Out of those 16, 3 managed to become one with their element. The most someone managed to do was convert their whole right arm. Becoming a pure white icicle. It was the person known as the Chilling Star in the generation, Damien Zrados. Exuding a reserved atmosphere as if this was to be expected. Following after him is the Aquamarine Star, Griselda Pharos. Turning her hand translucent blue like water while casting a worried expression towards a sleeping figure in the class. The last person changed their finger into light. It was the Photon Star, Jared Mavedos. Making a displeased expression as he glared at Damien.

"Oh, as expected of the Generation of Stars. A majority of you all did your studies before coming here." She claps her hands. "Damien, Griselda, and Jared. You all are fine to leave class until the new semester starts. The rest of you who managed to produce their elements, I'll see you in two weeks."
