《Transient Fire Works》Epilogue to chapter 3: Nosy Jin

-9:00 pm-
When he got back to his temporary home, he found the woman laying down on the floor on her left side drunk with loads of alcohol. Her eyes were red and swollen as well. But even when she was asleep, she was still crying.
“Why was she crying?” Jin muttered as he tried to find his way through the cluttered living room and into the kitchen. Doing his best not to make any loud noises, he carefully carried the ‘rewards and other trinkets’ into the kitchen. Then went back into the living room so he could quickly clean up the empty bottles of alcohol.
“Hm?”
While he was cleaning up the bottles, he found a photo. There was a few clear tear drops on the photo. Jin wanted to see what the photo was about that could make her cry so badly. But the photo was under a bottle on one hand and still in her left hand that was held by the thumb and index finger.
“I might die if I take it…..” I scratch my head and wonder what she might do to me if I did take it. “Oh well…. WORTH IT!”
Jin knew this wasn’t complicated. But it was daring.
At first, he just wanted the photo but she had a tight grip on it. ‘The hell? How is her two little fingers so strong?’
He knew that if he were to take too long, she might wake up. Not wanting to waste that much time, he simply tried to push her over and tickle her skin lightly, hoping that she would free the photo from both the bottle and the hand.
‘Alright… Life or death… Come to me photo!’
That apparently worked.
When he pushed her over, she already let go of her bottle. When he tickled her, she let go of the photo all together.

‘Hehehe Let’s see what kind of secrets you have little lady!’
But when Jin saw the photo, he face twisted. It wasn’t one photo, but three. In the first photo, it shows her holding hand with a man. He seems to be about six feet four inches. Taller than Jin! In the second photo, it shows her in a wedding dress with the man. But in the last photo, it was ripped in half but I could still see that the woman became a bride’s maid in this photo and the six feet four inches man holding his arms around another woman who had black hair.
The bride’s maids gave their best smile. But I could tell that behind the gold haired woman smile had hint of bitterness.
“So that’s what happened to her… So does this mean that this man was a cheating man-hoe? Or does it mean this woman regrets breaking up with man?” I muttered in a low voice. I flip each photo around to see that each photo had names written on them the first two had two names each. But the third one had a third name.
‘Meracle and Jason. These two were the ones that appeared the most on all three. On the third one had the name of Maria’
Just then, the golden haired woman woke up and saw that Jin was looking at her photos. Immediately, she snatches them back with an angry look. She turns around and walks back into her room and locks her door.
‘She is having too much drama going in on her life. She should just learn to let things go…’ I thought. But then I remember that I was being nosy so I guess it was my fault for trying to find out more about her without her permission.

In truth, Jin slightly regretted finding out more about her. Now she has a bad impression of her. It was mostly his fault that he was nosy. But he really dislike people around being sad. So he really wanted to help her out in any way that he can.
‘*sigh* …. I’ll leave her alone for a few days. As for who that man was, I am going to need to find out more about his and her background.’
Jin really is a thoughtful person and didn’t mean any harm. But all he can do now is just let her rest for the night.
Walking over to the window, I open up the window to let the night air in. ‘A moonless night huh?’ I feel like I am forgetting something serious. But I don’t know what.
But feeling pessimistic about what I am forgetting isn’t going to help me get it back. So I went sat in the middle of the living room to meditate. Meditation is a great way to clear the mind. I don’t know about other people, but I usually meditate every night when it is possible to recover my mental state.
Jin closes his eyes to welcome the empty clear darkness and forget his troublesome day for a while.

The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.
