Chapter 4: After That Night

The night went by as nothing happened, my father and mother quickly thought they probably heard a bird or something, I was not so sure after going back to my bed, I did not sleep at all that night, the scream was haunting my mind, the morning took forever to come when the sun came up really early in the morning, I quickly ran downstairs to not be alone, while the scream was stuck inside my head for the rest of the day, but nothing happened, was it just a bird? or is there actually something more in the shadows?
