《Super Smash Bros Brawl University》Chapter Twenty-Three: The Real Master

Roy felt very uneasy. DL was no where in sight. Who knows how long he had been awake. He could be anywhere by now. He looked nervously at his friends. They were angry with him. He had one responsibility and he blew it.
Link suddenly whipped around to face Ganondorf. "It doesn't matter if DL is gone. We will track him down and kill him later, but for now we have you to deal with." He said trying to fill his voice with as much confidence as possible as he spoke to the much larger being in front of him.
Ganondorf cackled again. Clearly amused by Link's threat. "I would like to see you try." The large red head challenged the small Hyian. "Deal." Link agreed.
The evil man cackled, his yellow eyes fixing on the small boy. With the flick of his hand, everyone but Link was knocked off their feet and blown a distance away. He snapped his thick fingers and a large ring of fire appeared around the two, preventing access from Link's friends.
Link looked around wide eyed. Clearly surprised. He quickly masked his astonishment with a look of determination as he noticed Ganondorf's intent gaze. "How about an old fashioned round of one on one?" Ganondorf said menacingly.
Zelda was first to sit up, clutching her head. It was throbbing with pain. The last thing she remembered was Link challenging Ganondorf to a duel before she was launched into the air and thrown back down roughly. She looked around to see some of her friends by her side. A gasp escaped her pink lips as her eyes fell upon the large ring of fire in the middle of the bridge.
She stood up too quickly, making her feel light headed. She stood still letting the feeling subside before she began to walk towards the tall flickering flames before her. She began to jog, then run. Only stopping once she reached the edge of the ring.
She recognized Ganon and Link in the middle of the ring eyeing each other. Their weapons drawn. Ganondorf seemed to say something, but she couldn't hear over the crackling of the hot flames and the blood pumping in her ears as her heart rate accelerated.
On the other side of the ring, Samus, Marth, Nyssa, and Pit sat up. She glanced behind her to see Ike and Roy doing he same.
She turned back in time to see Link and Ganondorf's swords meet with a hard clank sound. She was over whelmed with a feeling of worry for Link. How would he beable to beat Ganon on his own?
Ike and Roy ran up beside her. "What's going on?" Ike panted looking intently into the ring. "Just what it looks like. Link and Ganondorf are dueling to the death. We need to find a way to help Link! Zelda explained quickly.
Pit took off into the sky and flew over to the other side of the ring where Ike, Zelda, and Roy stood. "Guys, what are we going to do? Is Link going to be okay?" He asked quickly. "I honestly don't know." Zelda said shakily. Concern was evident behind her eyes.

"Why don't you fly over the fire and into the ring." Ike suggested to Pit. "Good idea." Pit agreed. His feet left the ground as he flapped his wings. Once he was high enough, he tried to land inside the ring. Some kind of force immediately forced him back. He tried again. He couldn't get in no matter how hard he tried. He tried different spots. It didn't matter though. He couldn't get in.
He landed next to his friends panting heavily. "It's no use," He paused catching his breath, "I can't get in." He continued to pant as Zelda patted his back reasurringly. "Thanks for trying." She said quietly. He nodded his head.
"There's another thing we could try." Zelda said. "What would that be?" Roy asked. "I know how to perform some magic. There's a chance that I could get rid of the ring or maybe at least open it up in a spot so we could get inside."
"I think it's worth a shot." Ike said nodding to Zelda. She nodded simply before facing the large ring. She closed her eyes inhaling deeply. She clasped her hands together, furrowing her eyebrows in concentration. A silver blue ball of light began to form between her hands. As it grew larger, the space between her hands widened as well.
Her eyes opened. With another breath, she pushed her hands forward with as much force as she could sending the ball of light flying towards the fire. It hit the target, but diminished instantly. It hadn't worked. She tried summoning water and various other spells, but nothing could destroy or even temporarily put the fire out.
Finally, Zelda gave up. She was absolutely exhausted. Using her magic abilities took a lot of her energy. She collapsed, Ike caught her just before she hit the cold stone of the bridge. Gently he set her down so that she could rest. He looked up at Pit and Roy. "I don't think there's anything we can do. It's hopeless."
Roy nodded sadly in agreement. "I'm going to go update the others. I'll be back." Pit said. Ike and Roy nodded, dismissing Pit from the group. He quickly flew over the ring to inform the others of what had happened.
Ike and Roy turned their attention towards the battle in the middle. The flames made it some what hard to see, but they watched all the same. Praying that Link would be okay.

Their swords clashed for the first time. A loud clanking noise echoed off the stone of the bridge. Ganondorf took another swing. Link skillfully back flipped just out of reach. He then charged toward the monster before him. He allowed his anger to course through his veins and fill him with energy.
"Oh, and Zelda, I never expelled DL for what he did. I LET him do that to you."

Ganondorf's sick words played in his head. How could he! "Aaaaahhhh!" He screamed a battle cry as he jumped into the air bringing his sword down forcefully. Ganon blocked the attack easily, but that didn't stop Link.
Ganondorf's block forced Link to skid a few feet away. Quickly he dashed at Ganon again. The sound of metal clashing was once again heard as a series of swings and blocks were performed from both of the enemies.
The next blow was brought to a hault as they both forced their blades against each other. Link managed to push Ganondorf back, causing the gray skinned man to stumble back. Link took advantage of the moment to slash his sword across Ganon's chest before he recovered. It only opened a few cuts in Ganondorf's armor, but it was still progress.
He quickly jumped back to avoid Ganon's swing. This was when he realized Ganondorf's blows were five times more powerful than Link's, but Ganon was also five times slower.
Link rolled to the side as Ganon threw out a kick, ending up behind him. He quickly jabbed his sword into Ganon's back, but it wasn't deep enough. He had to pull it out quickly as Ganondorf whipped around. Link backed up. With speed Link didn't know the older looking man had, Ganon launched at Link throwing out an elbow hitting Link.
The wind was imediately taken from Link's lungs as he hit the ground hard. He groaned in pain, but he didn't have time to recover because Ganondorf was already rising his sword above his head. Link managed to roll out of the way just as the strong sword was brought down, hitting the stone of the bridge making sparks fly.
"I'll admit boy, you're putting up much more of a fight then I expected, but you're still no match for me." Ganon said cockily as he strolled over to Link who was standing up. His chest was full of pain, but there was nothing he could do about it now.
The sword fighting commenced for what seemed like forever though it couldn't have been more than ten minutes.
Ganon swung his sword powerfully. Link held his sword up to no use. The force of the blow sent him to the ground. It hurt, everything hurt. Link groaned again as Ganon began to cackle. "I told you I would win." He said confidentally. "You haven't won yet." Link said quietly. "Oh really?" Ganon asked tauntingly. He brought his sword up, preparing to chop Link's head off, but Link had different plans. He managed to sit up and roll under Ganon's legs before popping up and stabbing his sword into Ganon's back. This time hard. He pushed it deeper. Ganondorf fell to his knees.
Link dislodged his sword before running around to Ganon's front. Something caught Link's eye. His left hand. A triangle glowed gold. Ganon's eyes caught it to. "You're the chosen one." He murmured. Link had no idea what that meant, but he didn't want to stop to think about it. "This is for everything you've done." Link said bitterly. With that he stabbed his sword into Ganon's chest.
The fire ring disappeared and his friends immediately rushed to his side. "Are you okay?" Zelda asked hugging him. He nodded. "Link your hand." Ike said pointing to it. Link looked again. The triangle was still there. "Zelda! You have it to!" Samus exclaimed. Zelda held up her left hand to find a glowing triangle on the back of her hand to. Hers was near the bottom left, Link's was the bottom right.
"Looks like we're all connected." Ganon said. Everyone turned to find him still alive. Dying, but still alive. He held up his left hand. He also had a glowing triangle. His was near the top. "Together we make the triforce complete." He added. Everyone looked to each other confused.
Ganon's eyes become focused somewhere in the distance. "Master is coming. And when he kills you, which he will, the plan will continue and the world will be ours." He said darkly. He began to cackle again. Only seconds later he gasped sharply before he finally fell onto his back. Ike swung his sword, chopping Ganon's head off. "And stay dead." Roy said bitterly spitting on Ganon's body.
"I can't believe you fought him by yourself." Pit said. "Thanks." Link said nodding. "It's finally over." Samus sighed.
"I think you've spoken too soon my dear." A familiar voice said. Everyone turned to see DL down the bridge. "Might as well be, you'll be easy to kill." Roy smirked. DL laughed. "Wipe that smirk off your face Roy. I'm not who you have to worry about. My Master is." Roy's smirk did fall as a figure appears from behind DL.
He looked transparent, but had a blue tint to him. He began to float into the sky. Suddenly, large butterfly wings sprout at his sides. They are fairly colorful. Everyone stared up in awe. This man was like nothing they had ever seen.
"Meet my master, Tabuu." DL said coldly.
(A/N) I hope you guys liked the chapter! The fight between Ganon and Link wasn't as epic as I wanted it to be. I'm not very good at writing the battle scenes haha. So Tabuu's the master! Like I said, there's only a few chapters left. Thanks for reading! Please, vote, comment, and follow me! I love you guys!! <3

NEWDIE STEADSLAW Part I
NEWDIE STEADSLAW is a randomized array of Chekhov's red herrings, non sequitors ex machina, run-on sentences, and em dashes—so many em dashes. It's like if the Bible and Shakespeare had a baby that they surrendered to foster care, then it got adopted by Alice in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss—the books, not the people—and then the baby fell down the stairs. In this metaphor, the stairs wrote the story. Part I is the tale of the adventures of Traycup and Roby as they try to hold down a job inside the hollow Earth—a place made possible thanks to the secret science of embargoed relativity—and they get distracted by dancing foxes, a giant's record collection, and something with a train, I think. It's a work of fiction—although to call it work seems insulting to, y'know, actual work—but the fiction label is apt, so, y'know, that's a win. Half the words are made up, and the other half are embarrassed to be seen with them. Part I is complete.
