《Super Smash Bros Brawl University》Chapter Twenty-Two: Motive

(A/N) Hey guys! Enjoy the chapter! Thanks for reading!! :)
Our heros were ready for the approaching foes. Pit took on Meta Knight, Nyssa went for King Dedede, Marth against Wario, Ike vs Bowser, Samus against Snake, Link and Zelda faced Ganondorf, and Roy started to drag DL away.
Roy could easily kill DL right then and there, but DL didn't deserve to get off so easily. DL deserved to spend a miserable life time in prison and that's just where Roy was taking him.
Suddenly he heard Samus scream. He whipped around with DL still in his arms only to see her lying on the ground. Without a second of hesitation, he knocked DL out with the handle of his sword and ran to Samus's rescue. He managed to block Snake's blow just before it landed on the defenseless girl.
Snake smiled slightly. He swung his dagger again, this time at Roy. The blow was easily blocked by Roy's sword. Snake was smart and he had some skill, but then again, so did Roy. Each blow was blocked by the other until Snake made a bold move. He kicked Roy's hand causing his sword to go flying elsewhere. Roy barely had time to process what just happened and duck Snake's next swing.
While Roy was near Snake's feet, he grabbed his ankles making him fall. Roy quickly stood and stepped on Snake's arm so he couldn't use his dagger, but Snake was smarter than that. With just the flick of his wrist, he sent the dagger hurtling towards Roy's chest. Roy quickly stepped to the side, but the dagger still lightly skimmed his stomach.
In seconds Snake was once again on his feet and his fist was colliding with Roy's jaw. He threw another punch, but this time Roy blocked it. Roy wasn't as experienced with hand to hand combat as he was with sword fighting, but still he landed a few good blows and blocked a few punches. Once again, Snake used his high kicking abilities to his advantage. One hard kick to the chest and Roy was suddenly on the ground. "Roy!" Samus yelled. He glanced over to see her holding his sword. She threw it to him. He caught it and looked up to see Snake pull another dagger from his utility belt and lunge for Roy.
Roy waited a few seconds before swiftly rolling to the side and hopping to his feet. Snake's dagger was stuck in the ground he had no time to react as Roy quickly brought his sword down into Snake's back. His body tensed up, then grew limp and fell from it's crouching position. Roy unlodged his sword then looked over to Samus who's eyes were very wide. "Help me toss his body over the bridge." He said calmly. Samus's eyes immediately looked up to Roy. "What?!"
"We both know how smart Snake is. For all we know, he isn't even dead. It's just a precaution." Roy explained. Samus nodded slowly then walked over to help Roy. They lifted Snake's body over the ledge that ran along both sides of the bridge. They watched as his body appeared smaller and smaller before disappearing completely. "Let's see if we can help the others." Samus suggested. Roy nodded in agreement completely forgetting about the unconcious hostage he left behind.

At first Pit had used his bow, but the arrows seemed to have no effect against Meta Knight's armor. So, he split his bow in two creating two daggers. Meta Knight had a sword of his own, leading up to the sword duel they were now in. Sadly, neither seemed to beable to land a blow. Pit was desperate for this fight to be over. He wanted to see how Nyssa was doing in her battle with King Dedede. He wanted to make sure she was okay. He needed to help her.
He shook his head lightly to clear his thoughts. He couldn't afford to be distracted in this fight. The two were practically evenly matched, if he lost concentration now, Meta Knight would likely win. This was taking too long. He needed to think outside the box. An idea sprouted in his mind.
He hit Meta Knight hard, causing him to stumble back. He then quickly took off into the sky. Meta Knight didn't have armor protecting his back, Pit knew that. Meta Knight was very quick and could turn around fairly fast, so this needed to he timed right. He put his daggers back together forming his bow. Quickly he shot Meta Knight's face, distracting him. He quickly flew to a better angle and shot a few quick arrows. One made it to Meta Knight's back, but it didn't make it very deep.
He distracted Meta Knight again. This time he landed behind Meta Knight and quickly lodged a dagger into his back. Meta Knight stood tense for a second before he fell over. "Pit!" Roy called as he ran up to him. "Throw the body of the edge of the bridge. You know, as a precaution." He recommended. Together the two disposed of the body over the edge. "Thanks man." Pit said patting his shoulder. Roy just nodded before running off to Marth's side. Pit headed to Nyssa.
Killing Wario wasn't hard once Roy came. Wario never saw Roy coming, so it made it that much easier when he stabbed his sword into Wario's back. Wario stood stunned for a few moments. He didn't go limp like the others. Marth quickly swung his sword beheading the foul creature. Wario was definitely dead now, but they still threw his body and detached head over the side of the bridge. Marth nodded at Roy before running to Ike's aid. Roy was about to follow, but he noticed Nyssa and Pit were struggling with King Dedede. He quickly headed over to help them.
King Dedede wouldn't be a hard foe, if it weren't for his little minions. They came out of nowhere by the dozens. It took some energy to fight them off. By the time you had them out of the way, more sprung up. Roy observed this a little before stepping in.
"I can see you guys are having some issues. Need an extra hand?" Roy offered. Pit nodded in response. "With your help, I think I have a plan." Nyssa said as she shot down a few minions with her bow. "Alright. Tell us." Roy said slaying a minion with his sword. "Okay so you two stay back and fight the minions, I'll pretend to fly off, make sure to keep King Dedede's attention on you, then I'll bombard him with arrows. If that doesn't seem to be doing the trick, imediately charge at him with your sword and Pit, your daggers." She explained. "Sounds pretty good. I say we give it a go." Pit said. Roy nodded.

Nyssa took off into the air. At first King Dedede's gaze followed her, but he soon gave up and focused his attention on the two young men before him. Perfect. Roy and Pit acted as if they were trying to attack King Dedede, keeping him concentrated on them. Suddenly, arrows rained from the sky showering King Dedede. Roy killed the last of the minions while Pit ran at the King, who was shielding his head and had his eyes closed, with daggers at the ready. Both were soon forced into Dedede's stomach. The King grunted in pain. Roy ran up and stuck his sword right in King Dedede's chest. The cruel King, finally fell. Literally.
Nyssa landed next to Pit. He engulfed her in an embrace. "Well. That was a pretty effective plan." Roy praised. "Thanks." She said with a small smile. The three of them had quite some trouble, but they were finally able to roll the obese enemy over the edge of the bridge.
"He would be dead by now if it wasn't for his damn shell." Ike informed Marth who had just joined him after defeating Wario. "Well. The only vulnerable spot that could actually kill him if hit would be his head." Marth said thoughtfully. "I know. I've tried, but he blows fire." Ike replied. At just that moment Bowser cackled before blowing another stream of fire. Ike and Marth both dived to the side.
Ike ran back over to Marth. "I've also tried getting him to fall off the bridge, but he's too heavy." Marth nodded at this statement. "We need a plan."
"I know! I've been trying to come up with one this whole time I've been fighting him, but everything I try is practically useless." He vented. Marth nodded again. "Now that there's two of us, he can't blow fire at both of us at the same time so maybe we could use that to our advantage." Ike smiled at the idea. "You're a genius, Marth!" He patted his long time friend on the back. "All we have to do is come from separate sides." Ike said. "Exactly." Marth agreed. They gave each other a final nod before heading in separate directions.
They stood on each side of Bowser, waiting for him to make a move on one of them. Bowser seemed to decide on Marth because he turned to face him completely, confident that his shell would protect him from Ike. While he blew fire at Marth, Ike ran up And made a daring leap onto Bowser's back. He used the spikes to climp up it to his shoulders.
Bowser roared with fury shaking like crazy trying to get Ike off, but Ike held on for dear life. He secured his legs around Bowser's neck as best as he could. Then, with both hands, he lifted his sword above his head and plunged it down into Bowser's skull with as much force as he could muster. He quickly jumped off the dinosaur creature who was clutching his head and screaming bloody murder.
Marth and Ike quickly moved out of the way as the dinosaur fell with a thundering BOOM! Ike waited a few seconds, before walking up and pulling his sword from Bowser's head. He looked over to see Roy, Nyssa, and Pit push that fat penguin looking thing over the edge of the bridge. Roy jogged up to them. "Need help getting rid of the body?" He asked. "Yeah." Marth confirmed. The three set down their swords. Carefully, making sure to not get stabbed by his spikey shell and with great effort, they lifted the body over the edge.
The three then headed to join the others. Everyone was crowded around the only one left, Ganondorf. "Wait! That's our principle!" Roy exclaimed. "You just realized this?" Samus asked glaring at Roy. He lifted his hands defensively.
"Why are you helping the evil?" Zelda questioned their principle. Ganondorf laughed, well more cackled. "You see, I was always working for him."
"Who? DL?" Pit interrupted. "No." Ganondorf answered shortly. "How'd you become the principle then?" Marth asked. "I didn't. The real principle is dead, and the whole school is brain washed into thinking I've been the principle for quite some time now. Oh and Zelda," He paused to chuckle cruelly. "I never expelled DL for what he did. I LET him do that to you." Everyone gasped. Link almost ran at him, but Ike grabbed his arm. "We need answers, just wait." He hissed into Link's ear. Ganondorf didn't look the least bit frightened, but rather amused.
"Why Hyrule?!" Link asked anger clear in his tone. "Oh it's not just Hyrule. Master wants to take over all the kingdoms. We already have the twilight realm kingdom, and DL insisted on Hyrule next. Then we we're going to go to Altea, The Mushroom Kingdom, and so on." Ganondorf explained. "Why are you telling us all this. Won't your master be mad?" Samus asked. "No. It doesn't matter. You'll all be terminated soon enough. DL has already gone to fetch him."
"What? No he hasn't. He's unconcious right over..." Roy trailed off as he searched the length of the bridge for DL's unconcious body. "Didn't you have him Roy?" Link asked staring at Roy. "Yeah, but I left him unconcious over there. I swear." Roy said quickly.
Ganondorf cackled evily as everyone searched for DL, but they would never find him. DL was gone.

The Good Necromancer
Hundreds of years ago, shortly after the Great Cataclysm which destroyed the Ancient World, was the Age of Heroes. One of these great heroes started off in the most hated profession of the time, Necromancer. Join him and his comrades as they accomplish the first of the Good Necromancers legendary tasks. ***** So, quick update for those who pay attention to this section. I'm finally coming out of finals for this semester, and I plan on getting the whole already posted section revised. It's taken me a while to change the necessary things, as I had to start all the way over, but I've at least got the rough drafts for all the revised chapters. These should be going up within the next week or so, still have to go to work, but I am here, I haven't forgotten or dropped the story. Just trying to make this the best work that I can produce. P.S. I will be releasing additional stories. They are all going to be in the Good Necromancer world, however the others will give you an idea on how humans in other locations survived and have thrived. Or not. =)

Carus - Libertas
participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge and also having a go at NaNoWriMo this November. This was a first draft published as it was written for Nanowrimo November 2020. A little rough around the edges, I hope to come back and edit at some point, and then continue the story on. In the grand scheme of things Elias was nothing special. Which was why he was surprised by a random company on a new colony planet buying out his contract. That was the problem with the large companies that ruled the colonies, once they owned your contract, they owned you. Imagine the greater surprise when he learnt that the new company held the promise of freedom. Not from the constant battle against the Swarm that were also trying to claim the colony planets for their own. Nor from the Crust, the mysterious substance that covered the same planets and held the resources they all fought for. No, the freedom from being oppressed by those with more power and to finally decide where to go and where to set down roots and call home.
