《Orion》22

The glinting white moon was clearly visible in the sky, while everyone was fast asleep in the tiny home of Alvina and Rowan.
Orion got up with a start, awakened by a light tap on the wooden door of the room he was laid in.
He stood to his feet, heading towards the door to check it out.
Shocked to see Nerida with weak eyes, standing in front of him, his eyes shifted through the dark halls, wondering what could get her up by this time of the night.
"You need to save the kids" She whispered to him immediately, pulling his hands softly.
Fear echoed through her voice, revealing that there was something wrong.
She repeated the same thing quickly, leaving Orion stunned and confused.
He bent low to her height, staring intently into her eyes, telling her to calm down.
"What's going on?" He asked.
She was about responding, when her mouth suddenly dropped, sighting Alvina staring at her from the other end of the hallway.
"Nerida!" Alvina called in a cheery voice, stepping forward and ushering her gently back to the room.
A black scarf was worn over her body, flowing way past her back down to her tiny legs.
Nerida was hesitant for a minute, standing firmly on the hard wooden floor, resisting Alvina's pull, but soon gave in as there was nothing she could do.
While being led away, Nerida, with fear in her eyes gazed at Orion, silently pleading for him to come to her rescue.
Her eyes connected with his one last time, before getting dragged by Alvina further into the dark hallways.
Despite the deafening silence, Orion could tell there something was wrong. Something that needed to be attended to immediately.
Going back into the room, he grabbed his sword, turning to Aiden who was still fast Asleep.

He tapped him lightly, awakening him, and then asking him to go get the rest.
"What's going on?" Aiden uttered in a sleepy voice.
"There's something up with this cottage" Orion responded.
He grabbed his things and then proceeded out of the room with Aiden right behind him.
Going in different directions, Aiden to wake the others, while Orion, to check what exactly.
He searched through the house quietly, looking for a clue that could lead him onto anything. With cautious steps taken, he went farther into the hallway, taking a stairway that led him down a dark room.
His boots made light sounds as he walked, while his hands gripped his sword tight.
He found a door connecting to a room. Quickly, he reached for it, but found it to be locked. He was about retreating, when he felt a sharp object on his neck.
A gasp escaped his lips, as the cold metal pierced into his skin.
"Weren't you taught by your mother never to snoop in on people's stuff" Followed a voice.
There was silence for a while as the blade pressed deeper, prickling him in the process.
"I didn't grow up with one" Orion replied.
"Move" The voice commanded, directing him back to the exit.
Stepping out of the darkness, Orion realized it was Rowan holding the blade to his neck. He had a scowl on his face as he stared back at him.
On the other end of the hallway, Alvina had an Ax pointed threateningly at Pavlos, Bellona and Elpida, while the hands of Aiden were bind by a rope.
"I sensed there was something strange the moment I set my eyes on you, Orion Ray Brennan" She uttered.
Her eyes rested on him, a smirk growing on her lips, feeling glad that she had caught on to him and she now knew that he was the same Orion highly spoken of.

"It's quite unfortunate for you to be seen moving with commons"
"Y'know there's a great penalty for people like you. People who can't stay off others' properties" Alvina spoke.
"We gave you a home to stay in for the night and this is how you repay us?" She questioned.
The smirk on her face disappeared, which was immediately replaced with a frown.
"We never intended to pass the night here. We were fine on our own" Pavlos responded immediately.
"Well then, I'll advice you to leave now, while you still can"
"What's behind that door" Orion asked immediately.
"None of your business!" The cold voice of Rowan responded.
He panted heavily while glaring at Orion, his nostrils flaring in the process, not cause he was angry, but due to his weight.
There was a short silence as everyone present in the room glanced at each other, not until the screams of Nerida, grabbed all of their attention as she ran out, pleading with Orion to take her with them.
Rowan roughly pulled her hands as she approached him, and then roughly, he pushed her to the side.
"Let go of me!" She cried.
Gaining the distraction, Orion sent an elbow to the gut of Rowan and then grabbed his weapon from him.
His victory was short-lived as Alvina muttered some words and then he was sent flying back.
Orion landed on the walls with a thud, groaning, while trying to get back up.
Shocked at what just happened, they all came to realization that Alvina was a witch.
"One more movement from any of you, and I'll kill him" She warned.
The whole room suddenly fell silent, all watching her closely, not even daring to make a move.
Pavlos took a quick glance at Aiden, passing a message to him with his eyes.
Comprehending quickly, Aiden kicked the legs of Alvina, with his right foot, getting her to miss her footing, and falling flat on her face.
With no hesitation whatsoever, Pavlos grabbed the ax from her, the same moment she raised her hands to him, her powers flowing through her with a rush, lighting her up and then channeling that rush to Pavlos who was sent flying backwards with force.
Her eyes glowed as she stared at him, getting up on her feet slowly. She shifted him from wall to wall with just a quick movement of her eyes, sending him towards the ceiling.
His body connected with the hard woods, and then, he crashed back to the grounds.
Bellona ran forward to hold Pavlos, terrified of what just happened to him.
"Stop!" She yelled at Alvina.
A light chuckle escaped her lips as she stared at Bellona with amusement in her eyes.
"I'm fascinated that you have the guts to tell me what to do" She spat.
"I could kill them both with just a flick of my wrist, and there's nothing any of you would do about it" She uttered, referring to Pavlos and Orion.
"I'm as well surprised Cedric's army didn't finish the mighty Orion off. We were told he was killed. Turns out it was just a rumour" She muttered with a cold glare.
"Seeing as to how stubborn you all are, I'll have to kill him myself!" The lady spat.
