"This is what happens when you bring in a girl from outta nowhere, and put a roof over her head!"

With weak hands and heavy breaths, Bellona wiped the tear that stained her cheek, hearing the voice of her Uncle boom from inside the hut.

She was out in the yard listening to every single word that came out of his mouth.

"Oh Nolan, enough with all of these. She's Irina's daughter. My sister"

"I'm beginning to question if truly she's the daughter of Irina" Nolan uttered, pacing around the dome.

"What do you mean?" Jaelynn questioned.

"You know exactly what I mean!" His voice came out harsh as he turned his gaze to her immediately.

"Word's gone around Lorwich in relations to the death of that poor boy. And it was all because of her" Nolan spat.

"I won't hear one more word from anyone accusing Bellona of the boy's death"

"Believe it or not, the boy's laid six feet underneath the face of the earth, all because of her, the girl you claim to be your sister's daughter" He uttered.

"What has gotten into you?" Jaelynn's eyes were wet with tears as she stared at the man in front of her.

She couldn't believe all what she was hearing coming from the man she had lived with for years.

"You were right by my side when Irina passed Bellona to me to take her as my own. We lost our only child at that time, and having Bellona was like a blessing from heaven.......Irina gave her to me before she passed on, and I swore to raise her in the best possible way a mother could raise her child"

Bellona sniffed from out the yard hearing her aunt speak.

"Why are you acting like a stranger? You're better than this" Jaelynn said to him.

Her voice croaked a little as she spoke.

It was hard to believe her husband was turning on Bellona all because of what was going on.

She wrapped her arms around her body, not ready to hear any more words to get her upset.

With tears streaming down her face, she walked out of the hut, leaving her husband staring at her as she walked away.

Bellona fell to the ground, dust staining her dress while tears clouded her vision.

She sobbed as her uncle's words replayed in her head.

At this moment, she felt like an outcast. A stranger to the people of Lorwich.

She was left alone in this world, to fight her battles herself and take up survival.
