Chapter 4 Temple of No'beck
Character POV Olsis No’Beck
(Prior to soul-bonding with Sword of No’Beck.)
I hate I have to do this. That old hag Frieda is using her favor to make me become the soul bond. My old bones won't last long without a physical hos. So unless Her old body will become the physical bond, I don't know anyone who has a large enough core to withstand the energy intake of the weapon. Either everyone is too young or too old. The weapon cant be given to one of the other 6 races. This sword is one of the 7 artifacts, and if more than 1 was with any given race… whoever had the most artifacts would take over the world.
“Olsis, I'm here to tell you the path the child will take. I want you to go to this spot here.
There will be a circular area with no trees. Sense for his core and stab yourself once the bear shows up. He is my grandson, He’s 4 years old.”
Before Frieda could speak again I raised my eyebrow at her
“A 4 years old” I questioned with a look of shock.”
“He is no average 4-year-old. His ki ability is something special… As well as him being a part of the G.M.H project”
“Hmm. The G.M.H project was where they took the DNA of all of the council members and made a perfect clone of each of their strongest attributes. I see so he would have the large ki reserves of Ken correct?”
“No, the child was the very first. He was a mistake. He was born without a Core… So my ignorant son made a deal with the Dilreans in turn for use of their artifact they get to know how to make their own G.M.H but obviously with their own race instead. So they made the deal but it didn't work. Lyon was… special. His outside shell never formed. However, where his outside shell should be, was a core-shell. His Core is the size of An -A-class adventurer's total core size would be. But we both know that the inner core always has a 1000-1 ratio with Ki density.

So at this point in time, if he had the knowledge and the skill, he could be as strong as a Senior at the Vanguard academy.”
“I see Frieda. So you’re telling me this child's potential is the highest the world has seen since King Gallion?”
King Gallion single-handedly defeated the Maka race. (Shapeshifting Ice dragons)
I have no room to doubt Frieda she saved my life because of her for-telling ability.
“Fine, I have no reason to doubt you. This child seems to be quite interesting. You better hope he bonds with No’Beck or this is all a failure.”
“Don't worry I know he will. Now get going Olsis.”
3 days later…
As I was calmly sitting in a tree I sensed the young fellow. Time to do the soul-bonding. I grabbed the sword that was last used as a claymore and pierced my heart and my body drooped to the ground.
So this is how it feels to be outside of my body. I saw my body lying there as a bear walked up to it. I heard it takes 5 minutes for the sword to take the Ki from the core of me and merge with the sword. My Core was already running low I had maybe another decade or 2. Someone's core cant be refilled like the outside shell, it is like a battery where it slowly runs down but there is no charger. If someone wants to forsake their life they can use this inner shell's ki and use it like normal ki becoming much stronger. However, will end up killing them as they cant regain core ki.
5 minutes later
The lad is here. Let's see where this goes.
(Events of chapters 2 and 3 happen)
The lad is… Special. That's all I can say. While I'm in the sword form I can't adjust any parts of my soul, I rely on the wielder's adjustments. It so happened that he is a natural quadra adjuster! I could even bring out the special variant of Earth and water, Poison.

Sad that I shocked his core to pass him out. I used my Ki ability to insert a dream into him where he completely went berserk. I'll make that out to be true.
I went out my sword to enter as a Ki construct. This takes a toll on the remaining Ki I have.
I can probably use this ability 10 more times before I die.
(After 2 hours of sprinting I made it back to the temple.)
I noticed Frieda was sleeping on the Sword of No’Beck statue. She always has a tendency to pass out in a most “Random assortment of locations”
“Freida” I yelled “ I have the boy and we must speak about his potential to be the one you were talking about.”
She turned her head and opened one eye
She rolled her head and jumped to the ground.
“I told you he is special,” She said with a cockyness.

The Essence of Cultivation
After experiencing five years of an adventurer's life, Arcanist Sylar Wershin now spends his days catching up on developments in Essence Studies and teasing apart the functions of arcane trinkets and artifacts discovered by him and his companions throughout their time travelling the realms of Resham. An unexpected accident during the study of his latest subject of intrigue, however, displaces him across the Planes beyond what any known spell is capable of achieving. Now finding himself lost in a realm rich in previously-limited Transcendental Essences, however, does he truly even want to return back to his old world? If nothing else, plagiarising - ahem, learning new spell structures by observing the local mages should prove entertaining. Sure, there were new dangers in this foreign world, but they wouldn't be anything a fancy bit of spellwork couldn't solve. Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.

The Unsorcerer
DISCLAIMER: The cover pic is not my original work. Credits goes to the Illustrator. This is a story of a man named Cipher, a 21st Century man reincarnated in a world where magic is the way of life. In the continent of Iarica, the people of this land are able to wield the crystals or magic stones for whatever purpose they desire. These people are called "Sorcerers", blessed individuals who are favored by the Gods and gifted with an ability to manipulate "Mana", the energy of the World and the energy source that makes all of the machines run. Cipher in contrast, is not. He is an "Unsorcerer", a person unable to wield the crystals and mana and eventually magic itself. Because of this "defect", he is shunned, ridiculed, and abused by most people and eventually by the whole society. Little did Iarica and her denizens know, this so-called reject of society is more than what he seems... Note: This humble Author-san is not a native English speaker, so there will be grammatical errors. Also the chapters are short, about 1K words. However I will try my best efforts on reaching the 2k-4k words threshold. Another note is that this will be a Harem fic, so to anyone who are not fan of the genre this may not be your cup of tea. Any criticsm are welcome as long it can help me to improve my writing skills since I'm just a newcomer in this scene.

Its a culmination of the things that made me laugh, cry and smile when I first read them and It has been a personal wish to craft a story that makes me feel the way I did when reading those stories for the first time. Its gonna be a slow ride but worth it. Promise. Photo by Johannes Plenio on Unsplash
