"Alex turned around to see who was calling him.

And Julie came in to view holding red pompoms running towards him.

She looked down at the boys lying on the ground catching their stomachs in pain;" Did you just...." she asked in a puzzled and surprised expression.

Alex had no idea how he would explain the incident.

He couldn't just tell her that someone with super speed just saved him.

" Yeah. "he said quickly averting his dark eyes away from hers.

" I never knew you could... "

" Okay. I'll be heading home now Julie. " Alex said quickly changing the topic.

If she kept on throwing questions at him again, she would know he was lying.

" Huh? " the girl in front of Alex creases her brows in confusion," Julie? You think am Julie? " she said bemused.

" Wait? Your Abigail?" asked Alex.

"Yes. I am. My sister went back home. She didn't want to do rehearsals today."

Alex's mood turned pale. He thought he and Julie would finally become friends but it turns out the person that he spoke with earlier was her twin sister Abigail.

"Oh. Okay." Alex said then turned around to leave.

"Hey wait for me. Let's go home together."

"Alright," said Alex without even looking behind.

Abigail caught up to Alex and the two were now on the road having a conversation.

"Alright. Nice being friends with you Alex," said Abigail after Alex telling him Ed reached his home.

"Alright then bye." he bid her a farewell.

Alex greeted his parents and went to his room upstairs.

He fell in his bed and let out a long sigh of disappointment.

He lay on his bed looking at the ceiling above him.

He finally got up and turned on his laptop.

He tapped the keyboard and the words Dr. Hudson displays on the screen.

He pressed the enter button and the results for his search showed.

"Dr. Hudson C.E.O Pex industries." showed the first result on the list.

Alex had no use for this because he already knew he was the CEO of Pex Corp.

He scrolled on to the second one and it was kinda useful to him. "Pex Corp explosion" it read.

He clicked on it and a news blog website opened up.

"Pex Corp Causes explosion that leads to hundreds of deaths." was the heading.

He read the contents of the blog out loudly; "Dr. Hudson claims that the explosion happened because of two psychologically impaired scientists who he had fired two days before because of the dangerous experiments they carried out." Robert" and "Kyle" snuck into Pex Corp and continued with the experiment when he wasn't around.

And the result, a massive explosion that wiped out lives.

But he claims that he will compensate every family affected for it and he admits his mistakes.

What a noble man!...

Alex didn't complete reading the article because it mentioned only good things about him. If there's ever anything he needs to find out, he can't get it here.

He closed the page and went back to the previous search results.

He clicked the next result that showed Pex Corp inventions and innovations.

The first on the list was the teleport-3000 he heard about on the TV show.

That didn't interest him that much cause it was still under development.

The next on the list was an electronic bracelet of sorts.

He red the descriptions of the inventions; "The circrate bracelet is an innovation that helps you carry a virtual phone with you anywhere in your wrist. It uses Pex Corp mini projectors and sensors specially designed for this.

It allows you to project a phone screen on your arm and use it like it's a real phone. Pex Corp mini projectors are ten times clearer than an ordinary projector that you will feel like a phone is implanted in your arm.

The release will be next week at the Sheraton hotel. Be there. "

Alex was completely awestruck by this especially after clicking on the product's video demonstrating how it's used.

" I need that. " he thought to himself as he imagined what he could do with the circrate bracelet.

A frown formed on his face throwing his head back and rolling his eyes when he realized something; "Exams are next week. How the hell am I going to get my hands on one."

"Wait! Exams next week! "

He quickly closed his laptop and picked up a book to read for the exams.

He got lucky with the pop quiz because madam Morgan so happened to brag about how easy the paper was and did it along with the students just to mock them.

As Alex read, the same thing that happened to him the last time happened again.

Projections started popping out of the book but this time he wasn't spooked at all but excited.

He went downstairs for his dinner and came back to have a bath and sleep.

"Yes good, now insert the tachium in carefully."

Dr. Hudson looked at the scientist that just spoke; "Do I look like I don't know what to do." he said angrily.

The scientist shut his mouth in fear and didn't say another word.

Dr. Hudson held a blue lighting cube in his hands and he stood right next to a ring-like black machine big enough for a person to walk right through to the other side.

He walked squatted down Ana inserted the blue cube in a slot under the machine.

He then stepped back and stood beside the scientist.

The machine rotated emitting a blue spark now and then and it made a whizzing sound with every revolution it made.

A blue light started forming in the middle of the ring spreading outwards.

Alex his eyes open when he heard his phone ring.

He kicked away the blanket and sat up trying to remember what he just dreamt about but it was pointless.

He scratched the back of his head and let out a deep yawn then headed to the bathroom for a shower.
