《Unstable (L x Reader)》Chapter Five: Searching

"Thank you Light." I said since he said what I couldn't.
That really stopped Mr. Yagami. He didn't know what to say. I helped him out by trying to think what he was thinking.
"I know you must be surprised that I have been in a mental hospital up to this point. I know it's weird, but there's a story to go along with that too."
"Could you tell it? It sounds awfully fascinating!" I heard a voice say.
"Another time." I said.
"Excuse me?"
"Oh nothing.. A voice was talking to me."
"Oh.. right." Mr. Yagami said, sounding like he was regretting letting me inside his house.
We finally arrived at their house which was nice because the tension just grew deeper in the car and getting out of their car was nice because I could get a nice breath of fresh air. Light walked me inside and up to his room. His room was quite plainly decorated but I quickly found that he was a normal boy since I found a stack of ladies swimsuit magazines. I sat down on his bed as he sat at his desk. As I was playing with my hair as he grabbed his homework. I showed my shinigami eye, since my eyes were different colors, and I saw no life span hovering over him. But I ignored it. But then I would also sense his shinigami was nearby, he was lurking around us the whole time keeping quiet. We did work on Lights homework and it was actually quite easy. Schools just are getting lazier I think. But then when I realized it was about 8:45 ish I told Light I had to get going. He walked me down to the front door and out by Watari's car since Mr. Yagami helped me get a ride all the way over here. But before I got in I gave Light a tight hug. I thanked him for treating me like a real person but then I whispered even quieter in his ear "Tell your shinigami to quit staring at me." I could feel his heart rate speed up as he was surprised. He let go and I had a normal look on my face now, just a plain look, and then I waved as I entered the car and we drove home. As (name) drove away with Watari I could only think: "How could she have possibly known about Ryuk..? Did she have a notebook? Maybe Ryuk knew something..?" She just stayed in my mind all night. And I mean in that way and the fact that she was actually really pretty. She had nice skin, her hair was just indescribably perfect, and her eyes sparkled like stars. But that's not really the point, the point was that I think she was on to me and she can't know anything about my plan since she straight up lives with L and she could spill everything to him. I had to prevent that, I had to gain her trust, I had to do everything in my power to keep her beautiful mouth shut. Maybe making her my girlfriend might work... We will just have to wait and see. As I entered back into my room Ryuk was waiting for me, he looked like he was panting like a dog. "What is it Ryuk?" "I want my apple!" "Fine. Wait here." I went to the kitchen and grabbed the rest of our apples and brought them up to my room and set them down on my bed. I threw one to Ryuk and then started asking him my question, prepared to bribe him with more apples. "Ryuk, do you know something about (name)?" "Besides her name... no not really, though her name rings a tiny bell in my mind." "What was this tiny bell?" "I dont know.." I could clearly tell he was lying, since he was tapping his foot like he did when he lied. "If you are going to tell me the truth when I ask again you get an apple..." "Oooh! Gimme!" "Here's your apple, but now, what is this tiny bell that (name) rings?" "Well her name was definitely mentioned when I was still in the Shinigami realm. Maybe one of my friends was planning on killing her." "Do you actually remember?" He didn't tap his foot when he answered so I slid the apples away. "Is there a way for shinigami to see the family tree of someone?" "No.. we are not made completely out of magic." "Well it was worth a shot, but would you ask around in the shinigami realm for me..?" "Fine. But you better give me two apples for this." "Deal." And then with that, Ryuk just left.

Ryuk was spit out straight from the human world portal and saw all the shinigami being all bored and playing their games. Ryuk started wandering around asking everyone he knew about the name of (name). It came up a few times, people saying that they killed (name)'s. But then the last person Ryuk stopped at was a very old friend of his that he barely kept in touch with. He asked about the name and that shinigami did have a response. He said that that name was the name of his daughter. Ryuk asked more of this daughter and found out everything he needed to know to get his second apple from Light.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
