Matteo's pov

I groaned as i heard my alarm waking me up . I opened my eyes and saw ava standing infront of me with a huge teddy .

"Daddy i don't wanna sleep in my room anymore" she cried.

"Why? What's wrong?"

"Someone's in my closet"

I sighed and got up , i put her in my bed and walked to the room . I checked her closet and saw nothing , I went back to my room and saw her knocked out.

I kissed her forehead and went and took a shower and got dressed . I need to make arrangements with riley since im gonna going on a business trip in a few .

"Capo" enzo flagged me over.

"Find something out about tatiana?"

"No not yet but the russian wants another poker night"

I sighed and tugged at my hair.

"Tell them to be patient"

"Sì , riley hasn't woken up yet for miss ava"

"It's okay ava is asleep in my room"

He nodded and walked off .

I sighed and headed to the kitchen and tatiana was making breakfast.

"dove diavolo eri?"

Translation : where the hell were you

"occupato"

I grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the wall.

"quando è diventato bene per voi di parlare con me in quel modo" i growled out .

"Sei l'aiuto che resta al tuo posto" i grabbed her neck tighter.

Translation : You're the help stay in your place .

Translation : are we clear?

"Sì"

I let go of her neck and turned around to see a shocked riley .

"Orestto"

She walked back out and i groaned .

"Don't let me fucking talk again tatiana" i growled before storming out .

"Riley wait up" i yelled .

"Im just gonna get ava ready"

"She's asleep"

"Fine then I'll go do yoga" she tried to move past me but i grabbed her arm.

"I wanna tell you about my job but i need to trust you first"

"What that your some casino dude?"

"That's just to keep my partners happy"

"Well they look really dangerous i don't get why you would let them in the same house as your daughter"

"Look your not gonna judge my fathering skills because so far i did a great job okay?"

She nodded and wanted to walk away again but i grabbed her again.

"Can you just trust me?"

"I barely know you"

"Daddy?" Ava called out .

"Want me to go?"

"No im not gonna need you for today" i walked to my room and saw ava rubbing her eyes .

"Hey Principessa" i smiled and she jumped into my arms.

"Wanna do something with tatiana?"

"papà no" she frowned.

Translation : why not

"She's mean to me"

"che cosa?"

Translation : what?

Im gonna kill tatiana no one is allowed to be mean to my Principessa"

"She doesn't play with me like riley does"

I sighed and rubbed my head .

"Go get ready and tell riley to take you to school"

"Sì" she nodded and ran out .

I took of my shirt and my sweatpants when i heard a knock on my door .

"Ava go to riley okay!"

"It's not ava" i heard riley's voice.

I opened my door and her eyes traveled down my body . I cleared my throat and her eyes snapped back up .

"I just wanted to say sorry for what i said i just didn't know you choke woman out"

"Was that a backhanded sorry?"

"Kinda?" She shrugged.

"I don't hit woman riley i just don't want a disrespectful worker in my house"

"You clearly got hot and bothered when i was chocking one of my security for checking you out" i smirked.

She raised her brows in shock.

"He was checking me out?"

"Seriously"

"Okay okay im sorry!"

"Yeah im sorry too"

"Why do i feel like you don't that much"

"I don't"

"Can you take ava to school the chauffeur will give you the directions"

"Yeah"

I watched her walk away and i closed my door and hopped into my shower .

"Ava you ready to go?"

"Yeah" she smiled coming out of the bathroom wearing a dress and a pair of sandals . She looks adorable .

"Daddy said you have to take me to school"

"Yeah i am" i smiled.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me downstairs and into the kitchen.

We saw tatiana putting out plates.

I sat ava down on one of the stools and handed her the food . I sat down and switched on the television and saw a crime boss when tatiana grabbed the remote and switched off the tv.

"What the hell?"

"No tv while im busy"

"Im getting sick and tired of you acting rude"

I would have said 'bitch' but ava is in the room .

"There's nothing you can do" she rolled her eyes .

Matteo came walking in with a black suit .

"Tatiana if you wanna keep your job i suggest you be nice to the other workers" matteo said.

"Sì capo" she glared at me and walked off.

That lady needs help

Matteo kissed ava on the forehead and whispered something in her ear . She frowned and pouted.

"I don't want you to go"

"Im sorry Principessa"

"Riley im going on a trip for a few days so i need you to keep a close eye on ava"

"Yes ofcourse"

He walked out after giving ava a final kiss .

"Let's go time for school" i smiled.

"No i wanna stay with daddy" she pouted .

"How about after school we go watch a movie and eat ice cream?"

"Deal" she smiled and we shook on it .

She went and grabbed her backpack and i waited for her outside. I saw matteo getting into his car and driving off.

Ava finally came and we got into the car and drove to her school .

We pulled up to her school and holy Christmas nuts it's fancy !

Ava kissed my cheek and went into the school.

I drove back to the house and went and changed into my yoga pants and a sports bra . I took my mat and went to the backyard.
