《Alpha Daryl Reeds》Chapter 6

"Where were you?" Daryl growls at me as soon as I walk through the door of his house.
It was way past ten o'clock, Harrell and Katy talked and talked it was enjoyable. It has been awhile since I've talked to anyone without yelling, cursing, or demanding. That's all I get with Daryl.
"Places." I snapped at him.
I push past him and begin making my way back to Daryl's room. He follows me trying to get me to tell him where I was.
"Joyce," he says angrily. "You don't want to see me get mad."
I smirked to myself before saying. "Someone from town asked me to dinner, wanted to get to know their Luna."
"Who?" He asked.
"Oh, you know someone from the Omega village." I told him a smile forming on my face I had a really great time.
"Everyone forbidden to go in there especially you what if something happened to you?" Daryl asked me.
"Like what?" I asked him turning to face him. "All we do is argue Daryl when are you going to stop this nonsense and let me go home?"
"Never speak of leaving."
"Ugh! Why can't you see that I'm not happy here!" I screamed at him.
I run upstairs before he could reply, once again i slam the bedroom door, this time instead of laying in bed I go to the bathroom. I avoid looking in the mirror, I didn't want to see myself and how badly I looked. I knew I've lost a lot of weight I knew that my long dark hair wasn't heavy wavys like it was a month ago, my dark brown eyes were dull.
I turn the shower on, I got undressed and climbed in, I let the hot water burn my skin and I don't know how long I could stay in there. The water begins to get cold when there was a light tapping at the bathroom door.

"Joyce, please come out." Daryl says.
I don't answer him i just shut the water off and sit there, I was freezing but I didn't care. It wasn't until I started to go numb did I get up from my curled position in the shower. Covering myself i leave my way past dirty clothes on the floor.
I press my ear against the door trying to hear if anyone was in the room. Thinking the coast is clear I open the bathroom door slowly, Daryl sat in the arm chair.
I quickly slam the bathroom door again. I could hear Daryl asking me to come out. I don't i listen to his footsteps walk away, reopening a door at peek and see if he had left the room he had leaving his set of clothes on the bed.
I could tell right away they were his not just by the smell but because they were a little too big on me when I put them on. I've been wearing the clothes that I was wearing Christmas day, not that I really go anywhere but it was time to change clothes. It wasn't like I was really going to go anywhere I climb into bed.
I let sleep take me over.
~~~~~~~
The next morning I'm being woken by Daryl. I glare at him as I sit up. "What do you want?"
"There's someone here for you." He says leaving the room.
Clenching my jaw I get up and make my way down the stairs. Axel was standing in the hallway of the front door. He held a box, his dark eyes looked saddened. His black hair was longer than when I last saw him.
"Axel!" I cried as I ran up to him. He drops the box to catch me. Daryl must have let him into the land to talk to me, or he wouldn't be here at that moment I didn't hate Daryl that much.
"Oh, Joyce what happened to you?" Axel asks me.
"I've been homesick brother." I tell him letting him go.
"Everyone misses you Ashley sleeps in your room now, Jake are doing alright Riley's driving him crazy with the training that she's making them do.Harry doesn't leave the hospital."
"What about Fred?" I dared to ask him.
"Still in a coma." He said sadly.
"Did the doctor say when he's going to wake up?" I asked.
"No," he said my heart hurt. Harry must be hurting.
I swirled around to face Daryl who have been standing behind us listening to our conversation. "This is your fault you know that right?"
He doesn't answer me just rolls his eyes and I growl at him. I turned back to Axel "how are Mom and Dad?"
"Upset that they didn't get to tell you goodbye." Axel says.
"Oh, you wouldn't believe how badly I want to go home."
"I know sis, believe me I know how bad do you want to go home." He says. "Brought you some things from home."
Axel hands me the box that he was holding earlier as far as I could tell he had packed some clothes in it for me it was heavy so I knew there were other things in there other than just clothes.
"Thank you."
"Anytime, I best be heading back my mate have something planned for our anniversary."
"Okay, I love you brother."
"Love you too sis." He says walking towards the door. "Oh, before I forget please eat something in Joyce you look you haven't eaten in weeks."
With that being said he walked out the door, Daryl watched him walk out then his eyes fell on me. "I don't like him." He said
"You don't have to like him, he's my brother not yours." I tell him walking up the stairs
Setting the box down in the bed I began going through it, there were six different sets of clothes pajamas, socks, underwear, and two pink bras. My SketchBook, my music books, my actual books for reading. My favorite blanket, and my jewelry box.
How Axel got all that to fit into one box was a mystery to me but I was very glad that he had gotten some of my stuff from home made me feel a little bit less homesick.
I go to the dresser, I open one one of the drawers it was full of socks, quickly closing it, I smiled to myself thinking about what I was about to do, I took all the socks out and dumped them on the floor. Daryl watched me from the doorway, not saying a thing. After putting everything in the drawers and setting the jewelry box on top of the dresser. I grab my SketchBook and climb into bed.
"Dinner at 6:30." Daryl tells me speaking for the first time since I walked into the room.
"Not hungry." I tell him opening up to page I have been drawing three days before Christmas.
"You will come down for dinner this isn't a discussion, Joyce." He growls slamming the door as he leaves.
The Goddess’ Chosen
Destiny is a strange force indeed. One simple act can create a ripple, one simple change can cause a cataclysm. One act outside of the individual would be enough to alter one's life no matter how insignificant that life may be. This is the adventures of Allisa Reed, a young girl from our world who found the legendary sword Excalibur and taken to the magical world of Avalon. On the other side of the portal with her friends by her side, Allisa is forced into a conflict she is not prepared for, ordained as the Goddess Chosen to bring about one of two possible outcomes; Salvation or destruction. ------------------------------------ Author's notes: This is more or less the first draft of this story. Currently working on a second draft. Spelling and grammar is definitely my biggest weakness, particularly in my earlier stuff. I've done some editing and hopefully have ironed out most of these mistakes in my older chapters though I'm fairly certain there are some mistakes still left. This story is ongoing. Updates are slow as I publish when a chapter is ready. Expect long chapters for most of it. Just sort of my style. Only available on Royal road.com
