《Alpha Daryl Reeds》Chapter 5

"What the hell's wrong with you?" I yelled jumping up from the bed. My throat burned, my stomach yelled at me for food. Standing made me dizzy, and I almost fell Daryl didn't notice thank god.
"Enough of this you need to get out of the house or the room. " Darrell growled through a clenched jaw.
"No," I say climbing into the chair by the bed.
"That's it." Daryl says before stalking over to me. He picks me up, I scream and begin fighting to get out of his hold. It takes a lot out of me and soon I find myself out of breath. Stalking down the stairs with me, I do my best not to puke or dry heave since there wasn't anything in my stomach.
Daryl sets me roughly into a chair in the dining room. A sandwich sat in front of me, instead of looking at it like food it made me nauseous. "You're not leaving this table until you eat."
"You're not the boss of me." I ground out through clenched teeth.
"No, I'm not but I'm not going to sit by and let you starve to death."
"What do you care?" I said getting up. "Just because you have a heart doesn't mean you know how to use it."
With that being said I stalk off, Daryl grabs me before I make it half way through the room.
"No, more Joyce what's killing yourself worth?" Daryl asked me.
I don't answer he had a fair point but I wasn't trying to kill myself I just missed home so badly, I hated Daryl so badly that I couldn't think of anything else.
"I want to go home." I whisper.
"This is your home."
I feel tears sting my eyes. "This will never be home." I say letting out a sob.

Daryl let me go, I run from the dining I didn't want to go back upstairs, Daryl was right about one thing I did need fresh air. The air is clear of wind and the sun is up so much has changed since I've been here locked in my thoughts.
It hits me again and go down the path that I went the first day here. Omega's children play with each, made up games of hopscotch using rocks as the square and vines from the forest as jump rope.
Some of the children stop and watch me l, some run in fear. I sit a distance away from them, just watching as they slowly go back to their games some watch me from the corner of their eyes.
I don't try to stop the tears that begin to fall, I was the mate of a monster. I sob and sob, I try to be quiet but I couldn't stop the noises that came from me. Suddenly there's a mother in front of me. Her grey eyes show sadden in them, her brown hair going gray.
"Oh, Luna what's the matter?" she says me.
I just blink at her though the tears. She smiles at me, "come with me."
I slowly get up off the floor following her deeper into the village people watch me, curiosity as if I might suddenly strike them it was because of my red and puffy eyes. Whatever it was, no one said anything. I didn't ask the woman how she knew I was the Luna and she didn't tell me either.
All the houses look the same broken down, beaten, broken windows some were missing parts of the roofs, but yet the group of people around seem to care for each other. The woman stopped in front of a small what might of had been a white color house now looked like it's been standing for a million years.

A group of teenagers sat on the steps of the broken down house. "Rosemary," She said. "Would you come in, to help with dinner?"
"Yes, mother." A girl with black hair said standing. "I'll talk to you guys later ." She says to her friends before disappearing into the house.
"Won't you come in?" The woman said to me.
I could only nod as I walked up the steps. Inside the house looked just as bad as the outside. I had to watch for holes in the floorboards, duck from wires, and make sure not to knock something over.
A small dining table sat in the middle of a worn out looking couch. A man sat there reading a book, he looked up at me.
"Why I didn't know we were going to have a visitor." He says smiling
I bit the inside of my cheek. "Oh, Harrell don't scare the poor girl." Said the woman I had been following.
"I'm not Katy you worry too much." Harrell said standing. "Its pleasure to meet you" he says hiding his hand out for me to shake.
"Um hi." I whisper shaking his hand
"Would you like a sit?" Harrell says.
I nod my head as I take a seat in front of him. Rosemary comes out of the kitchen holding a cup of water.
"Would you anything Luna?" She asks. I bit my lip before shaking my head 'no.' "Okay, just holla if you need anything."
She goes back to the kitchen to help her mother. "Your a quiet thing aren't you?" Harrell says.
"Not usually sir, just disappointed." I tell him.
"Disappointed? What for?"
"How could Daryl be so cruel and do this to people? Make them live this way?" I cried.
"Oh, Luna dear," Katy says coming to the table with a bowl of salad. "We're all grown used to living this way, we Omegas are strong in our own way."
"But no one deserves to live this way even the Omega's in my old pack were treated with respect."
"Everyone rules different my dear." Katy says.
"You're just going to agree with Daryl?" I asked dumbfounded.
"We can't go against an Alpha, Luna." Harrell said.
"No, you probably can't but I can." I said.
No one said anything after that Katy started serving dinner, she put a bowl of soup in front of me I got nauseous again like I did one Daryl put that sandwich in front of me but it would be roots not accept after she had invited me into her home.
