My Other Book: Ley World
But anyways, I'm back, sort of. Basically, in this past month, 2 of the weeks I haven't been home, and the other two weeks I was too tired to write. Not physically or mentally, just tired of the book.
While it still takes a bit of effort to actually write the chapters, I don't want to leave the book for over a month, (Its been 29 days) so I decided to write a quick chapter. Don't expect any scheduled releases, cause I write whenever I want too, and hopefully I start wanting to write a lot more often, or else I'll cry with tears of sadness.
Well yeah, hope you guys enjoy! And I will never drop this book, even if it takes me 10 years to finish it, especially since I have a perfect idea for the final chapter, even though I'm not even half-way done... :(
Enjoy! - Author Guy

It has been 4 months since Sear upgraded the village. In that time, the village prospered. The village had once again expanded its size, now having a diameter of over 1 kilometer. At the center were all of the main government buildings, the schools, the mage tower, barracks, and the library.
On the second level were all of the shops. Along the third level were all of the homes. The city had no nobles, as it was ruled using mercantilism. This allowed the city to be somehow poverty free and nobody looked down on anybody else.
The three sectors were separated by the walls and moat that was created earlier and then the second pair separating the shops and homes. Past the outer wall and moat were fields of grain spanning tens of kilometers in any direction, and giant quarries mining out any valuable resource found.
The town was now marked on the map, as it was capable of holding its own. The population by now had reached well over 2,500.
The best thing that happened though was the mage tower. When the Mage’s Guild learned that most of the village was built using magic, they sent very high-tiered magicians there to create a mage’s training hall and tower there.
Because of them, Sear was able to learn more about magic in 3 months than he did in 16 years. The village’s defense force now consisted of 100 trained men along with 20 trained mages. There were also 250 enlisted men ready to battle if necessary.
Nowadays, all Sear did was train some soldiers and give a “helping hand” to anyone who tried opposing them.
Those people usually consisted of a few minor nobles from other cities coming and trying to take over an area, usually by taking many people hostage with their soldiers. Too bad those nobles never had people capable of countering a plethora of mages.

There were a few times where some of the citizens attempted to gain higher standing, but they were brought down even faster than the minor nobles.
Speaking of those minor nobles, they had made the city quite a fortune after being ransomed back to their family. The times the families didn’t accept, the nobles were sentenced to life in an ore mine, where they were usually killed by other prisoners because of their standing.
Other than that, nothing major happened in the city.

Waking up, Sear groggily stood up remembering what day it was. Today was one of the monthly council meeting, which usually last anywhere from 12 to 30 hours one time. That was a time Sear wanted to forget.
At the beginning, being a council member wasn’t bad, but now I’m stuck doing this. I don’t even know what I do on the council. Am I the General of the city or something?
Cleaning himself up and putting on some decent looking clothing, he walked out of his house. It was nothing big, just a two story stone and wood building. It was big enough for two large families, but Sear mainly used it as a miniature war-house of his own.
Walking towards the main building, Sear realized how much this once small village had changed since he first came to it.
Soon, all this work will pay off and an empire will begin. I’ll rule that empire and grow it to encompass the world, controlling it with an iron grip. I’ll would crush foes and then use their bodies as walls.
I’ll paint the ocean red with blood, and turn the world black with dark magic. Soon, it will begin.
As he was doing this, sub-consciously his eyes were turning black and people around him began to slowly inch away.
*You’re actions have been noticed mortal. Prepare for the worst.*
What?! Turning around and finding nobody near him, Sear continued on thinking it was nothing but a figment of his imagination.
But elsewhere a being laughed and prepared, for his entire world was going to be turned upside down by this boy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Opening the door to the room, Sear stepped in. Taking a look around, everyone was there. Gee, the “mayor,” aka the town chief, Jen, and a few others who Sear didn’t care about enough to ask their names.
In total, there were 10 people including him.
The first person to speak was Gee. “Now that Sear has arrived let’s begin talking about…”
This is going to take a while…
And it did take a while. 14 hours actually. All spent talking on random things such as, the percentage of the population which was okay with us exporting extra food instead of stocking up, and talking about whether or not we should import horses and cows.

I’m so glad this is over. These meeting drain me of my will to live. God I wanna kill someone right about now.
Looking out the nearest window, Sear realized that it was already dusk. Don’t punch a hole in the wall, again. Relax Sear, relax.
Sighing, Sear walked out of the meeting hall. Standing outside, he took a good look at what had happened to the town.
Around him were magnificent buildings worthy of royalty, inns worthy of the most extravagant adventurers, and stores made for the best merchants could offer.
Smiling, he adorned his cloak and began to walk towards his home, which was on the border of the first and second sector, a good 50 minutes away from where he currently was. Looking around, he slowly watched as the day-dwellers were replaced with shadier characters and mercenaries.
He continued to walk for a few minutes before turning into a dark alleyway. Once there, he forcefully coughed up blood and leaned on the stone wall next to him.
In a matter of seconds the thieves following him showed up thinking he was injured.
“Well, well. What do we have here? A poor soul…” Before he could continue Sear cut him off.
“A poor soul and 7 corpses.” Lifting his hood, Sear looked at the men around him. Their leader had ragged chainmail that covered some thin leader. On his hips were two 10 centimeter (4 inch) knifes.
The man next to him was most likely the best off of the bandits. Sporting some plate-mail gauntlets and breastplate, thick leather gloves and pants, along with chain-mail to cover his arms, he struck a menacing appearance with his large size. In his hands were two 30 centimeter (1 foot) long Makhairas (Ancient Greek Swords).
The rest of them all had the normal ragged leather with copper daggers.
Before they could react to what he had just said, two daggers flew out of his hands and slammed into the bandit’s heads. As the two fell, their leader yelled. “Attack him!”
As they rushed him, he took out his favorite weapon, the silver sword he had enchanted a long time ago. He had slowly changed it over time, so now it resembled a thick saber. He also changed its enchantment and made it so that the sword would secrete a poison capable of taking down most humans.
Lifting it, he quickly spun it in a circle, managing to hit three of the bandits. In less than a second they all fell asleep. Seeing this, the last ragged bandit turned and ran leaving Sear, the leader, and the well-off bandit alone.
“Well then?” Looking to the leader, Sear continued. Using his left foot to push himself forward, he quickly pivoted once he got close to the leader, sending a roundhouse to the man’s temple.
He slouched over, and as Sear was regaining his balance, he was flung towards the far wall. Slamming his head onto the wall, he smiled as he felt blood coming out of his nose. It had been so long since he had been hurt.
Sure, he isn’t even using 1/20th of his power, but still.
“So now it’s just you and me huh?” Getting up, Sear wiped the blood off of him and took his stance.
“Yes it is.” The large man also took a stance, and after a few seconds of staring at Sear, charged forwards before attempting a vertical slash.
Seeing this coming, Sear blocked with his sword before preceding to feint and then jab into the man’s shoulder.
*clank* Damn I forgot he had armor. Heh, oh well.
Laughing, Sear kicked the man before moving back. The man, having blocked the kick, took his stance once more before circling around Sear.
Realizing he was hungry, Sear decided to finish this. “Sorry about this…” Using Air Magic, he greatly improved his speed before dashing forward and slicing the man’s neck.
To anyone watching, it would be easier to say that Sear had teleported behind the man.
Licking the blood off of his blade, he picked up the plate mail and the two Makhairas before going home.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Somewhere in the city…
“Lord, the preparations are set. All the men are in position and our “allies” have confirmed that the targets are where they should be. There is no way for the city to know of what will happen.” Standing in a dark room, there was a man sitting upon a large ornamented chair surrounded by various other peoples talking to him.
“So it seems. Very well then. Tell the necessary contacts to prepare for tonight. We will first strike at the centerpiece of this city and take it from the chaos that follows. Worry not my followers, before us is the fruit of our labor, our soon to be city.” Laughing, his voice resonated along the large room before he stood up.
“You are all dismissed. Tell your men to prepare and set everything in motion. This city will be ours in a few hours. Also, tell Him that we can now begin.” Around him the people nodded before each exiting through a different door.
And now we rise to power. Hahahahaha! This city and its wealth shall be mine!
