Once when The King Akbar

Heard the news of a poor merchant,

Who got robbed by great amounts

Solving it was something other can't.

So the Merchant told Birbal

"The stuff was extremely precious."

While he also informed him that,

"My five servants are very suspicious?"

All those servants were called

As expected they all refused,

So Birbal tried another way

The servants were all confused.

He distributed a stick to each of them

All of them of equal size,

"The thief's stick will grow overnight."

All the servants got surprised.

Tomorrow when they gathered

Instead of one stick long,

One of the sticks became shorter

The theif was not that strong.

He was arrested and the money

Was given back to the man,

Akbar asked, "What happened?"

"How did you solved it again?"

"I did nothing the thief himself

In fear cut his stick,

'Cause he believed it grew longer

My lord, that was my trick."

So that's how 'The Clever Birbal'

Proved himself the smartest of all,

And with his great skills, he won

The hearts of the crowd in the hall.
