Once when The King Akbar

Was upset on losing his ring,

It was a gift from his late father

And was very precious to the King.

He searched it everywhere

But his investigations went in vain,

So then he called Birbal

To use somehow his brain.

Birbal stated a fact, "Your Majesty!"

"The ring is surely in the court,

Hence I can tell you something I know

And find the ring with your support."

"The person who has the ring..."

Birbal stated this aloud,

"...will also have a straw in his beard."

Chaos filled the whole crowd.

People started looking around

And murmurs filled the whole court,

But one minister out there

Was using all his efforts.

To find the straw before being noticed

All through his lengthy beard,

But then Birbal summoned him out

His behaviour was absolutely weird.

They found the ring in his robes

And Akbar even executed the man,

'Thief will always be the most scared'

This was Birbal's master plan.

So that's how 'The Clever Birbal'

Proved himself the smartest of all,

And with his great skills, he won

The hearts of the crowd in the hall.
