Y/n woke up to find Taehyung sleeping beside her. Her cheeks were flushed thinking of last night.

She caressed his face and played with his nose making him awake.

Taehyung:- Done playing?

Y/n:- You look better while sleeping.

Taehyung:- I know. How was your first time, Y/n? Does it still hurt a lot? Are you still sore? Do you want me to carry you?

Y/n:- Uh-W-what, No-I'm fine.

Taehyung:- Look at your lips, all swollen. I love it.

He gave a slight peck on her lips which startled her.

Y/n:- Stop it, Tae.

Taehyung:- Oh wait, it's already nine, Sh*t! We're late for office.

Y/n:- But you need to rest.

Taehyung:- I'm completely fine now. Besides, I have you as my assistant to look after me.

Taehyung was immersed in checking the files and as for Y/n, She concentrated on writing report. They were interrupted by someone knocking on the door.

Taehyung:- Come in.

Naeun:- Missed me?

Taehyung:- Oh, Naeun. Why are you here?

Naeun:- Yaa, Can't I come here without a reason? Look at you! I assisted you for two weeks, You ungrateful punk!

Y/n just nodded smiling at her.

Naeun:- Well, I'm going back to States. So I wanted to say goodbye.

Y/n was in the kitchen trying so hard to make the dinner.

Taehyung also made his way into the kitchen, hugged her from back and kissed her neck.

Taehyung:- What are you doing?

Y/n:- I'm making dinner for us. Can't you see?

Taehyung:- Hmm, It looks delicious.

He placed his head on her shoulder and still embracing her in a back hug.

Taehyung:- No, Y/n. I won't. I'm not going to leave you until you give me a kiss.

Y/n:- Tae, Stop kidding around.

Taehyung:- If you don't kiss me, I'm not going to let go.

He said and tightened his hug.

Y/n:- F-Fine, I'll give you a kiss.

She slowly gave a quick peck on his cheeks.

Taehyung:- What the hell? That's not even a kiss. I want it here.

He said pointing to his lips.

Y/n:- Huh- what? I'm not kissing you there.

Taehyung:- Then I won't let go.

She gave him a light kiss on the lips to stop his whining.

Taehyung:- Okay. I like this one. By the way, I have a gift for you?

He took something out of his pocket.

Y/n:- Gift?

Taehyung:- Turn around first.

He asked her to turn around and made her wear the necklace he bought for her.

It was a gold necklace, with an exquisite gold chain and the chess piece shaped pendant.

She was happy at this and her happiness knew no bounds.

Y/n:- A chess piece?

Taehyung:- A chess pawn. A pawn might be considered weak but it's the soul of chess, because it decides the fate of game. Exactly like you.

Y/n:- Like me?

Taehyung:- Yeah, You are my fate, Y/n. I am abandoning my revenge because of you. I just can't hurt you anymore.

Y/n:- What?

Taehyung:- But of course, That doesn't mean I forgive your brother. I'll never be able to forgive him.

Y/n:- So, W-What are you going to do then?

Taehyung:- I am just forgetting everything. I won't drain my energy on going after him or anything as long as he stays out of my business.

He cupped her face and quickly gave a peck on her lips.

Before she could respond, he ran away.

Y/n:- Unnie still hasn't come out from her room?

He lifted her chin and made her look into his eyes. She felt his gaze penetrate deep through her soul and she quickly looked away.

He cut her off by pulling her close and kissing her like his life depended on it.

Naeun was driving to airport that's when she recalled that she left her purse in Taehyung's office.

Naeun:- Ah, Why am I so forgetful?

Naeun walked up the stairs and made her way to Taehyung's cabin. To her surprise, she overheard someone talking in the phone and she had the urge to check it out.

Unknown:- Killing Taehyung isn't that difficult, but there is a lot more to do before that. He thinks Chanyeol is the one behind this. Their enmity is such a treat to watch. So called ex-bestfriends.

The person said and laughed maniacally.

She was terrified to death and covered her mouth with hands to prevent herself from making noise.

She knew she had to relay the information to Taehyung. She pulled herself together and quickly made a call.

Naeun:- T-Taehhyung-, come to you-r office now. He- killed y-your parents. Its-

Taehyung:- Naeun? What? Who? I'm coming.

Naeun:- Its-

She tried to tell him but she was confronted by the unknown.

He snatched her phone and smashed it into pieces. She thought of running but he dragged her by hair and pushed her into one of the office rooms.

Naeun:- Leave me. leave me, you bast*rd. It was you? It was you the whole time. Why? Why did you do it?How could you do this to him?

Unknown:- Shut the f*ck up, Son Na Eun.

Naeun:- I'm going to expose you. You deserve to rot in the jail forever.

Unknown:- Only if you make it out alive from here.

A malicious grin creeped across his face and he made his step towards her.

Naeun:- W-What are you- going to do with me?

He didn't answer instead took his phone and made a call without breaking the eye contact.

Unknown:- Chanyeol, you wanted to know who I am right? Come to Taehyung's office and I'll reveal myself.

He ended the call and smirked evilly at a terrified Naeun.

Naeun:- W-why did you call him? What are you plotting, you evil bast*rd?

Unknown:- Isn't it obvious? I'm going to kill you and dump it on Chanyeol?

She panicked at this and used all her strength to free himself from his grip. She bit his hand and tried to run, but he was fast enough to grab her by hair.

Y/n:- Tae, Where are you going this late?

Taehyung:- I'll be back now. Lock the door, Y/n.

He said before rushing out of the house.

Chanyeol entered there hoping to find the killer. But to his dismay, he found Naeun struggling for her life as she was stabbed brutally.

He went towards her and kneeled. She held his hand tightly and strained herself to bring words out of her mouth.

Chanyeol:- You're okay, I got you miss.

He quickly took his phone out of the pocket but she stopped him with her bloody hands.

Naeun:- L-Listen, I-I don't have m-much t-t-time l-left.

It's *********, H-he is t-the murder-

Her breathing stopped and she died in his arms. He tried to wake her up but his attempts were futile.

Taehyung hurried to his cabin only to witness Chanyeol and a dead Naeun with a knief penetrating deep through her heart.

He grabbed Chanyeol by his neck and punched him in the face like a lunatic.

Chanyeol:- Taehyung, Listen. I didn't do it. Believe me.

Taehyung:- Shut your f*cking mouth.

He kept on hurting him and didn't respond to his pleas.

Taehyung:- Why? Just why are you doing this to me? Why are you killing everyone important to me? What did I ever do to you to torture me like this?

Chanyeol:- T-Taehyung, Stop. Why can't you just believe me for once?
