Taehyung woke up with unbearable pain in his abdominal region. It took a while for him to regain his consciousness and his movements made Y/n awake as she was clutching his hands too tightly.

Y/n:- Tae? You are awake?

Namjoon:- Taehyung-ah, you okay?

Taehyung:- Hyung, Why am I here? And who is this woman?

Her eyes widened in shock and she looked at him in disbelief.

Y/n:- T-Tae-

Namjoon:- What? Taehyung, What are you-

Taehyung:- Do I know her?

She was about to break down but suddenly he burst out laughing.

Y/n:- You jerk. You scared me I thought you-

Taehyung:- Forget you? Never. You are too important for that. How could I forget my little wife?

Y/n:- Kim Taehyung, Do you need a beating?

Taehyung:- I'm hurt, Y/n. How could you think of beating me?

Y/n:- You deserve to be hit on the head for joking around.

Taehyung:- You really are dumb, Y/n. You thought I will lose my memory just because someone stabbed me?

Y/n:- That's- I was too worried to think, Okay?

Namjoon looked at both of them and a slow smile worked it's way across his face.

Namjoon:- By the way, Taehyung-ah? You remember the person? How does he look like? Was it Chanyeol?

Taehyung:- No, This person seemed like an accomplice. Of course the culprit behind this will definitely be my ex best friend, Park Chanyeol.

She held her head down at the mention of him and felt guilty for the crime she didn't commit but still her mind was occupied with a lot of unanswered questions.

Namjoon:- Let's just call the cops. This can't continue like this.

Taehyung:- No, Hyung. Please. Not now. I will deal with it.

Namjoon:- How? By hurting Y/n? Is that how you'll deal with it?

Taehyung:- Hyung, I- didn't mean tha-

Namjoon:- Come to your senses, Taehyung. She doesn't have anything to do with any of this.

Y/n simply sat there silently without interrupting their conversation.

Taehyung:- I know, I know that she is innocent. I don't intend to hurt her, Hyung. But please don't involve the police in this. I'll deal with him myself.

Soon, there was a knock on the door. Namjoon got up and went to answer the door. To everyone's surprise it was Eun Bin.

Y/n:- Unnie?

Namjoon:- I'll leave then.

Y/n was about to leave too but that's when Taehyung held her hand and stopped her from leaving.

Eun Bin:- Taehyung-ah,

Taehyung:- What do you want?

Eun Bin:- I-I wanted to see you. Why are you acting cold?

Taehyung:- How do you expect me to act then? Like your boyfriend. That was in the past Eun Bin. Get over it.

Eun Bin:- Taehyung, there is a dangerous person out there trying to kill you. Y-you should be careful. He-

Taehyung:- I know, Eun Bin. Your brother seem to be obsessed with taking my life for some unknown reason.

Eun Bin:- It's not Oppa. You have to believe me. He was forced to-

Taehyung:- And Why would I believe you? Did he send you here to tell this?

Eun Bin:- No, Taehyung. Don't misunderstand. Oppa did it because of-

Taehyung:- If there's nothing else, Please leave. I want to spend some alone time with my wife.

She felt bad for her sister but couldn't do anything except watch her unnie leave with teary eyes.

Y/n:- She is hurt, Tae.

Taehyung:- I know. Let her get hurt too.

Y/n:- I'm sorry.

Taehyung:- Why are you sorry?

Y/n:- Namjoon Oppa told me about your parents. But I'm sure there's more to it-

Taehyung:- Oh come on, Y/n. He might have had his reasons. Is that what you're trying to tell?

Taehyung:- Can't you see that he's bluffing? I'll make him pay for everything. Why is he doing- why did he? How could he?

His voice cracked as he asked her that.

Doctor :- Okay, Mr. Taehyung. you are free to leave now. But you need a rest of at least a week.

Taehyung:- Thanks, Doctor.

Y/n went around the house to check every nook and corner.

Y/n:- Tae, Don't enter. Let me check first.

Taehyung:- Ohh, Are you going to protect me, little one?

Y/n:- I'm sleeping with you now onwards.

Taehyung:- WHAT?

Y/n:- Oh, I didn't mean that. I meant it like I'm going to sleep in your room.

Taehyung:- You could have just told me earlier if you wanted to sleep with me instead of beating around the bush. I know what your intentions are.

She said and started hitting him on his shoulders.

Taehyung:- What are you going to do after our divorce?

Y/n:- Divorce? What's with the sudden mentioning? Are you going to- I mean, Do we have to?

Taehyung:- We'll have to. Our marriage wasn't based on love, Y/n. So we'll have to part our ways.

Y/n:- I- I really haven't thought about that yet-

Taehyung:- Find someone who genuinely likes you.

He said, brushing a strand of hair from her face and stroking her cheeks.

Y/n:- Will you miss me, Tae?

Will I? If only things weren't this complicated. Initially, I thought it might be easy to hurt her since I didn't love her but I just can't bring myself to do it. She- she just means a lot to me now. I know we're going to divorce sooner or later but the thought of her going away- I don't know. I really don't know.

Taehyung:- Of course, I will miss these eyes more than anything.

He leaned in and gently kissed her eyes.

Kai:- Hyung, it's not easy. I have been tracking the number you gave me but it's of no use. I can't find anything.

Chanyeol:- You still haven't got anything? For god's sake just hurry up Kai. Lately, this basta*d has been acting up and I don't think he'll stop without killing him.

Kai :- I'll do my best Hyung. But, I think you should tell Taehyung about the past. I mean that day-

Chanyeol:- You think I haven't tried to? He just wouldn't believe me. I don't blame him though. I'm the one who killed his parents afterall, I-I am nothing but a bloody murderer.

Kai:- Calm down, Hyung. You did that to protect her. I'm sure he'll forgive you after knowing the truth. And don't worry, You have this Kim Kai beside you to help you uncover the truth.

Chanyeol:- Yeah, right.

Kai:- But hyung, Why is this person hell-bent on killing Taehyung? I mean, what's his motive? Why did he just resurface after five years?

Chanyeol:- I really can't get a grasp on that, Kai. The only thing I know is that we need to be extra careful. He might be watching all our moves.

Taehyung:- Office.

Y/n:- You aren't going anywhere. You need to rest.

Taehyung:- But who will take care-

Y/n:- Namjoon Oppa will take care of the official matters. Now you get back in here and rest.

Taehyung:- Yes M'aam.

Rest of the day went by Taehyung ordering her around. She didn't complain and did everything he asked for. His sudden mentioning of divorce bugged her and the thought of him leaving her made her sick inside.

Y/n:- Eat this porridge, Tae.

Taehyung:- I don't want it. It looks horrible.

Y/n:- It just looks like that. But it's good.

Taehyung:- You eat first.

Y/n:- What? Don't tell me you're suspicious of me.

Taehyung:- Maybe. Who knows if you've poisoned my food?

Y/n:- What? You are so frustrating. Fine, I'll eat.

She took a bite of the porridge and glared at him.

Y/n:- Are you satisfied now?

Taehyung:- You have it on your lips.

She was about to wipe it using her hand and that was when he pulled her into a kiss.

Taehyung:- Hmm, you're right. The porridge is sweet. I need more.

Y/n:- Yaa, What did you just d-

He leans in and kissed her again with his one hand grabbing her waist and another hand cupping her cheek, They lips moved in sync until they were out of breath.

Taehyung:- Y/n, I can't control myself around you.

Y/n:- Then d-don't.

Taehyung:- I want you now.

She just nodded and before she could utter any word, he started undressing her slowly. His hands stroked her bare back and then travelled to her chest.

His kisses felt like home, she longed for this, her heart was thumping out of her chest. She knew that the next day wouldn't be the same but she was too busy to think about any of that, all she wanted was to enjoy it while it lasts.

Taehyung:- Are you ready?

She nodded again.

Taehyung:- Do you even have any idea about how your nods are turning me on?

He started making love to her and it was slow initially. But he increased the pace while caressing her body with his hands.

Taehyung:- You are mine, Y/n. Only I get to do this, okay?

He didn't let her complete and kissed her hungrily exploring every inch of her. Their love making session continued the whole night and slowly both of them drifted off to sleep embracing each other.
