《Sharingan Sakura》Chapter 20: The Story Behind the Cursed Eyes
Advertisement
Two days later they were travelling back at the hideout.
Along the way, Sakura was silent and didn't uttered a word, the only things that didn't made the things awkward was Karin and Suigetsu constant annoying arguments and with Juugo restraining them before any unnecessary fight to start again.
It seems obvious that she was somehow annoyed by their constant annoying bickering.
She didn't bother to stopped them.
She was all too focused in her own thoughts, sometimes her thoughts would be cut short because of suddened loud noise from the two like cats and dogs.
If they ever did, only a small blanked glanced from her they would received, the two never noticed it and she won't mind.
She already knew that even if she was to scolded them one of them again would start a fight, mainly Suigetsu.
By now and then, her eyes were recently becoming more blurry than usual.
She's afraid that sooner or later her eyes would bleed even if she didn't used Mangekyō Sharingan in battle.
Sakura would sooner have her father's eyes.
But she won't give up so easily.
Her medications might worked this time around.
Closing her eyes, she concentrated her senses to know her way.
'Where have you been?'She asked.
'Inside your head, it's been awhile since you tapped me yourself.'Inner Sakura replied.
'Keep me entertained would you?'
'Oh? That's interesting, about Kuro eh? His words went straight to you. I remembered that you've been questioned by Danzo the same thing before we left the village.'
Sakura felt herself succumed into her subconscious in where Inner Sakura stays in her mind.

Sakura opened her eyes and saw Inner Sakura sitting on a swing, grinning sadistically.
"What did you do this time?"Sakura asked to her
"Nothing important, you know what I'm thinking, why asked me?"She asked, while truly it wasn't a question.
She stayed silent, then again closing her eyes.
A swing, identical to inner Sakura showed up behind her and she sat down.
This was where Inner Sakura stays in her mind in which only them knew and where Sakura would go if ever she meditated somewhere.
In this place of her mind, they manipulated the things they wanted to appear.
The place in her mind shaped into a garden.
"Too bad really, we can shaped the things we wanted, we imagined that we taste, smell and feel it yet it couldn't fill our bellies now did we?"Inner Sakura sipped her tea.

"We decide what it would taste like and how hot it is but,"She paused, looking at her tea."How dissapointing that this is not real. Much more what can we imagined what the true tastes like?"Inner Sakura shook her head jokingly."How dissapointing indeed."She went back to drinking her tea, staring at her.
"You can feel it don't you, my eyes are getting blurry, I really need to-"
"You're afraid. To put your father's eyes on to you."

Something was wrong.
Something was always wrong when it comes to Sakura.
She was acting more strangely than before.
Sasuke assumed that Kuro said something that hitted her or something that bothered her.
His eyes trailed her every move.
He would asked Madara later.
▪○●□■
Arriving at the hideout later.
Sakura reported all the events that happened two days ago to Madara.
After she reported, she excused herself to rest in her bedroom.
Team taka went to their own ways except for Sasuke.
▪○●□■
"How did Sakura obtained the Mangekyō Sharingan?"Sasuke asked more like demanded.
This earned Madara's attention.
"Oh? Why do you asked?"He pushed into the matter.
Sasuke stayed silent but his face showed that he wanted a straight and fully detailed answer, in other words he wanted the answer.
Breaking the silence, the masked man Uchiha complied.
"Sakura's story when she was a child wasn't all that too happy as you know it."
"What do you mean?"Sasuke was instantly hooked up.
"She suffered from a mental disorder called schizophrenia, well in medical reports yes, it was called schizophrenia or what we call it a voice on your head. The reason why she had this was because she was a victim of bullying and mainly...Danzo."
"Danzo? Tell me more."Sasuke demanded calmly, his eyes narrowed.
"When Sakura was young, she started to developed her own mental disorder; schizophrenia in which from what I learned, her deceased mother also had this too but managed to fade away with the help of a therapy but in Sakura's case like what I said said earlier, medics called it 'schizophrenia' but in reality it's not about the mental. It's an extra chakra from her mind that was triggered again and was able ro mass it to her own will and creating this own individual of what she called it 'Inner Sakura'."The masked man crossed his arms.

"What does this 'inner Sakura' has to with Mangekyō Sharingan?"The young Uchiha raised a brow.
"It has to do with everything. Before Sakura left the village she encountered Danzo along the way, their conversation was kept a secret that not even I do not know since I wasn't there at the spot, all I can do was to observed them from a far. From what I can tell it was a heated conversation and she was fighting the urged to fight him and that for sure, I noticed with my Sharingan her chakra was flaring throughout her body; inside her head, her chakra entered a part of her brain in which it triggered Inner Sakura."Madara continued
"I believed Inner Sakura was the source on why she awakened Mangekyō Sharingan. "
"...What do you mean?"He narrowed his eyes more.
"You can only awakened Mangekyō Sharingan when a loved one dies in front of you or you killed that person with your two hands. You see, like what I told you Sakura's childhood wasn't that happy, her memories from her past when she was little was erased by Danzo since he killed one of her true blooded relative in front of her, an Madara's Sharingan swirled.
"Even before, Danzo already killed someone."Sasuke cursed, his hate flaring out from him.
"...And during their conversation, inner Sakura was triggered and somehow she regained her full memories with the help of her and from that said, she awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan."
"Her memories however in which she regained is her story to tell since I don't have the right to."He adjusted his masked."It would be a pain if it came from my own mouth, Sakura would definitely be...Furious I might say."
Sasuke made no move at all until he sighed.
"Is that all?"Sasuke walked to the door.
"Hn..."Was the reply he recieved.
And the door closed, a sign that he was out of the room.
"Sasuke really did have set his eyes on Sakura ne? Tobi."Zetsu emerged from the wall, half of his body was shown.
Madara turned his head to faced him.
"He did, interesting enough."
▪○●□■
"S-Sakura Haruno is my name...M-Mako-san..."
"Ne, just because we're cousins you have to address me with san."
"C-Cousin?"
"Shh! It's a secret, I just found it recently you're my cousin so we have to keep it as a secret kay!"
Little Sakura nodded with a smile.
"Okay!"
"I'm...I'm so sorry...Mako-chan, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you..."
"...You know...You're the best cousin I ever had...."
Mako's black hair was stained by her blood, still her smile was what calms Sakura.
▪○●□■
Sakura opened her eyes instantly.
She dreamed of it...
Again.
At this moment, she couldn't calm herself down.
Subconsciously, activating her Mangekyō Sharingan without her noticing.
And she felt her mind ease at the moment.
Oh, so Inner Sakura was taking controling her state of mind.
'Again and again, so stubborn as ever aren't you sweetheart? I told you didn't I, if you overthink about that again it would appear in your dream.'
Sakura just kept silent as she rubbed her shoulders. Falling into her bed once again she covered herself in blanket.
▪○●□■
Sakura couldn't sleep all night after she had the nightmare.
She was sitting at the top of the fossilised unknown creature in the night's full moon.
Only the sound of crickets could be heard.
She stared at the full moon.
"What are you doing here?"A voice said behind her.
Her head turned around and looked up to see Sasuke.
"Sasuke..."She whispered.
Sasuke went beside her and sat beside her.
"Your brother used to sit beside me when he was alive during these late hours when I'm awake."Sakura suddenly said.
He looked at her."My brother?"
She nodded."He spoke many things about you when you were young and stating that he loved you so much."
He said nothing.
Sakura expected that from him anyway.
"Why are you here?"She asked.
"I should be asking that from you anyway."
A vein popped on her forehead but managed to calm herself down.
"I was clearing my head, that's all."She answered, turning her head at him with a smug looked, getting awkward by the second.
Sasuke's eyes eyed her."I'm surprised that you have not been vomiting."
Sakura snorted and stood up, then what he said was processed to her mind bringing an answer.
Her eyes twitched in annoyance. 'That idiot, thinking I am pregnant, having pregnancy symptoms such idiocy.'
"I'm taking birth pills Sasuke-kun, just to let you know that I am not pregnant."
'You just got burned.'Inner Sakura chuckled.'I still love you though.'

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely.
