《Sharingan Sakura》Chapter 19: A Reason

The night came and all the people went to their home to have a nice peaceful sleep.
Outside their houses they hanged their lanterns giving light in the dark streets.
Sakura walked, her eyes closed and hands inside her skirts pocket.
Her head was throbbing in pain.
But it was the effects of being drunk.
...Right?

Team Taka stared at the drunk kunoichi.
"You're drunk."Sasuke stated.
"I am."She replied with hicupped between the sentence.
"You're drunk, how can we handle this mission without you. You're the only one who knows this spy."Sasuke said, annoyed.
"Don't worry about me, besides I am the trap in this plan."She yawned and she covered her mouth with her palm.
"A trap?"Karin asked.
She nodded."No questions ask and...
"I know that spy."She simply stated.

"You're drunk."Kuro stated in shocked.
"I know."Sakura opened the bottle of the sake and poured it into the cup, drinking it slowly until its all gone.
"A new problem already showed up you know."She said.
Kuro didn't knew how to respond since he wasn't sure how to act."...Is it about Akatsuki?"
"Oh, it is also concerning you and yes."She answered tilting her head at the side, her eyes fixed on his eyes, like she was saying something.
He gulped silently.
It seems that his worst fears is going to come true little by little...
"...How is Naruto?"Sakura suddenly asked, closing her eyes lightly.

On the top of the roof, the rest of the Team Taka were listening in their conversation.
Their black coats concealing them in the dark night.
Listening to their every words, Sasuke then heard Sakura's unexpected question.
"...How is Naruto?"He heard her asked.
He narrowed his eyes.
"...Naruto? Who is Naruto?"Suigetsu asked.

"Just keep quiet, Suigetsu."Karin whispered harshly, raising a fist.
Sasuke had no time to stopped them since he was so concentrated at the conversation below.
"Suigetsu, Karin please don't blow our cover."Juugo whispered, enough to hear.

"Don't test my patience. "Sakura straightened her posture."
"I..I am not."
The tension intensified.
'Tch, spit it out already...'She thought.
'And for us...Being drunk that is.'Inner pointed out.
"...You know when a person stutters, it's either you have some problems with your lips or an disorder."She closed her eyes.
Kuro started to sweat, he bit his lips and furrowed his brows.
"Or being shy or maybe...Oh look, even if my eyes are closed I can see your face sweating."A grinned started to formed on her face.
His eyes started to get wide in realization.
"...Or maybe you are a spy that is under Danzo's control."
In a speed of light Kuro stood up and threw a kunai at her in which Sakura easily dodged her eyes opened revealing the three tomoe Sharingan.
ANBU's started to appeared out of nowhere.
"This is Konohagakure ANBU you are surrounded, drop your weapons in an instant!"
Sakura rolled her eyes.
"Hah! You think you all have the fun, you're so wrong!"
All the people sweat dropped.
She sighed. So much for giving the ANBU a good impression from team Taka.
'Idiots. They're all idiots, We're surrounded by idiots!'Inner Sakura yelled in her mind, much to the dismay of Sakura.
A sudden memory of team 7 flashed in her mind.
She shook her head.
"Haruno Sakura!"Kuro shouted.
Sakura looked at him dead in the eye.
'Ah, that's right I haven't revealed my real name when we first met...Haruno Sakura eh?'She thought grimly.

Again she sighed.
"I'm glad I gave you a fake infornation about myself."She stated.
Team Taka who were now beside her glanced at her.
"That I myself is an Uchiha."
With that words all seems to frozed.
"Impossible."
Chaos started.
▪○●□■
Kuro layed heavily injured under the feet of the pink haired Uchiha.
"Why...Why would such...A loyal kunoichi of the...Hidden Leaf...Betrayed her village?"He asked as he coughed blood.
Sakura stared down at him with no emotion in her eyes, her hands covered in blood holding a bloodied kunai meant to kill the man.
"...Just because I know the truth about myself doesn't mean I still want to be loyal in that village..."
"You Uchiha's...Always ending to be a betrayer, tell me are you one of them?"He asked, not in a mocking tone.
Sakura thought for a while.
"I'm not loyal to anyone, not even Akatsuki."
▪○●□■
Where does your loyalty lies?
Do you even know who you are?
You turned into a criminal, you do know that right?
Sakura doesn't care anymore.
She has a reason why she was doing all this.
But that doesn't mean she was enjoying all this.
And she felt.
It was all wrong.
She smiled bitterly.
She was surrounded by lies, cheaters, and fakers.
She wanted to run away from everything
And for the first time in two years she asked herself.
What did she gotten herself into?
Looking at the dead bodies at her feet, she walked silently away from the place before making a handsign.
The bodies dissapeared.
No traces left behind nor evidence.

The Trials of Bethany
Bethany, is a young girl who didn't expect anything more from her life than to spend her time churning butter and trying to ignore the abuse of her fellow village members. In any other world this would be a reasonable expectation for a person in the middle ages. But Bethany was lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it. Because her world was about to get a whole lot bigger, and a whole lot scarier. The Trials of Bethany, is a Gamelit story of a system arriving on earth in the middle ages with the characters being teleported away regularly to face trials to earn their skill levels. As such there won't be a flood of skills however there will be constant progression and other hidden treats. The story will be evolving as it's written and as always aspects of the story/world are prone to change. This is my first serious attempt at writing and my first time publishing anywhere so all constructive criticism is welcome. Currently uploading Tuesday & Friday with occasional bonus chapters.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
