《Whatever It Takes | Rosekook ✓》18: proof

"I don't want to leak this if there isn't proof," Roseanne said.
Seonghwa raised an eyebrow. "Honey, are you messing with me? I'm showing you a picture of Chou Tzuyu kissing Jeong Jaehyun while her supposed boyfriend, Jeon Jungkook, is looking on. He looks fit to murder."
"For all we know," Roseanne argued. "This picture could be fake. It could be photoshopped."
"It's not."
"How do you know that? Can you prove it isn't? Or, what if it's an old picture before Jungkook and Tzuyu started dating?"
"I have proof for all these questions," Seonghwa answered. He grinned before tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Why don't we do the video here?"
"Seonghwa, I would love to collab with you. Trust me, I know I need the exposure despite you calling me the 'it girl' right now. I just can't get caught up in a drama especially if that drama involves a possible lie."
"Fine, I won't show this picture in the video unless I can prove it's authenticity. Fair enough?"
Roseanne nodded. As much as she wanted to collaborate on a video with Seonghwa Spills, she knew it would hurt her more than help her if they talked about something that was a regular gossip or lie.
"What are we going to talk about then?" Roseanne asked.
Seonghwa smirked. "We can talk about anything. I'm a gossip channel who talks about celebrity news and gossip so nothing is off-limits. Is there anyone you don't like? Maybe I have some tea on that person and we can go from there."
"No," Roseanne shook her head. "The only ones I can think of are gossip channels."
"Then shall we get started?"
"You promise you won't show that picture of Tzuyu kissing Jaehyun?" Roseanne asked.
While she didn't want to air the picture on his podcast, Roseanne was keeping the image in her head for future use. So far, she had a bloody book stop and the picture of Tzuyu cheating. Was it possible Jungkook killed Tzuyu in a jealous rage? Or did Jaehyun kill her to prevent her from exposing their relationship to Jungkook? Roseanne guessed Jaehyun would be kicked out of Trinity if it was discovered that Jaehyun was backstabbing Jungkook.
"If I don't have proof," Seonghwa said, holding up his hand as if he were taking an oath. "Then I won't share the picture."
"Okay, let's do this," Roseanne said.
Yuju was standing nearby. When they both stood up, she hurried to them. "Can I get you anything, Seonghwa? I absolutely love watching your videos. They're always so entertaining and funny. You're always fair in your videos. I can't believe I'm actually meeting you right now."

Seonghwa looked back at Roseanne with another raised eyebrow. "Should I be worried?"
"I had no idea she was such a huge fan of yours but don't worry, she's harmless," Roseanne explained.
"Rosie," Mark called out. He walked over to them and frowned as he took in Seonghwa. "Jisub called. He said he wants to meet with you when you get home today. He said he's been trying to reach you."
"I'll talk to him but did he say what he wanted?" Roseanne asked.
Mark lifted his arms in exasperation. "No, but it's Jisub so it could be anything. He might want to talk to you about the pool party he's throwing."
"He's scrumptious," Seonghwa murmured, staring at Mark who turned to greet a new customer.
"He's taken," Roseanne replied.
"By you?"
"By her," Roseanne pointed at Yuju who waved when she noticed they were looking at her.
"Lucky bitch."
"She is. Anyone who ends up with him will be lucky. Mark and I are roommates. We grew up together and moved here as soon as we turned eighteen."
"You've led a very colorful life," Seonghwa said. "I can't imagine what it must feel like to depend on YouTube."
"Well, I don't. I work here at Retropolis. YouTube doesn't really bring in the cash. That's probably because I've only gone viral once. The pressure to maintain that level of content can be overwhelming."
"I know what you mean. It's hard to find something interesting to talk about you."
Roseanne frowned and said sarcastically, "gee, thanks."
They sat up in a room to record where three chairs were pushed together. Roseanne noticed Seonghwa giggling to himself as he texted someone on his phone. Roseanne watched as he set up his camera. After they sat down he flipped his camera on.
"We'll record now and I'll edit when I get home. The video should go live this evening," Seonghwa said.
"You can edit that quickly?" Roseanne asked. "It takes me days to edit."
"I have a guy who can do this in his sleep. I want this video posted while the tea is hot. If someone scoops us, then it's pointless to post."
Roseanne nodded. What Seonghwa was saying made sense. She knew being on one of Seonghwa's videos would help her audience grow. She had gained five-thousand followers just from being on one of Trinity's live streams. The more followers she had, the more people would know the truth about Tzuyu's murder.

Seonghwa looked at the camera and made her introduction.
"Welcome back to my channel. If you're here, you already know who I am-Seonghwa Spills. Today, we have a special guest. A few of you may know her but recently she's had a video go viral and was seen in a live stream posted by the Trinity. You can hate her, love her, or just be fascinated with her-it's Rosé, from RoséRade."
Roseanne waved at the camera. "Hello, everyone."
"Are you excited to be here with us gossip-mongers, Rosé?"
Roseanne smiled. "I'm very excited."
"So, you've been spilling tea about Chou Tzuyu's death. The police reported it as an accident. Do you agree with them? You and Tzuyu's best friend, Yerim, made a video with an ouija board that disagrees."
"If you've watched my video where I was ghost hunting at the Park Mansion, you heard someone scream twice. If it was an accident, wouldn't she have only screamed once? I know the police claim there was no evidence of a struggle but I just want to make sure everything has been done for Tzuyu."
"Did you know her?" Seonghwa asked.
"No," Roseanne answered. "I talked to her at the party the night she died but we didn't know one another well."
"You were the one of the last ones to talk to her the night she died. Why do I find that so scandalous? Well, let's dive in, shall we?" Seonghwa picked up her bag. "As you all know; I always carry receipts around with me."
She pulled out the photo of Tzuyu kissing Jaehyun.
"What are you doing?" Roseanne asked, standing up. "You said you weren't going to show that."
"No, I said I wasn't going to show this picture unless I had proof it was real. The person who took the picture is right outside," Seonghwa picked up her phone and texted someone. "I just texted the photographer to come and join us."
Before Roseanne could respond, Yerim walked through the door of Retropolis. Roseanne noticed Yuju gasping at the sight of Tzuyu's friend. Yuju quickly disappeared behind the counter as Yerim passed her.
"Kim Yerim took the picture?" Roseanne asked.
Seonghwa chuckled. "Yes, the tea is scorching hot today. Tzuyu's best friend took the picture of Tzuyu kissing another member of the Trinity."
Yerim sat beside Seonghwa and waved at the camera. "Hi everyone. I'm Yerim. I have a beauty channel here on YouTube. Some of you may remember me from Tzuyu's videos."
"Yerim, did you really take that picture?" Roseanne asked, opting for the photograph in Seonghwa's hand.
"Yes," Yerim said. "I've kept this a secret for a long time. The truth is, Tzuyu was cheating on Jungkook and he knew about it."
"Jeon Jungkook and Chou Tzuyu broke up?" Seonghwa asked. He shivered and whispered, "so scandalous."
"At first he didn't," Yerim explained. "When he found out, they argued and broke up. Tzuyu was always telling me she hated when men acted jealous because of her. I can't say for certain if she was talking about Jungkook, but who else could she have been talking about?"
"I'm sorry," Roseanne said, shaking her head. "I can't be a part of this video. I had no idea you were going to do this."
"Rosé, let me explain," Yerim pleaded, grabbing Roseanne's hand. "That night, Tzuyu wanted to get back at Jungkook for breaking up with her. She purposely went after Jaehyun, knowing it would upset Jungkook. She sat on his lap and he was too drunk to realize what was happening. She kissed him and I took the picture because she asked me to."
"Why are you telling everyone this?" Roseanne asked. "Tzuyu's dead and can't defend herself."
"That's exactly why I'm sharing this," Yerim answered. "Tzuyu can't tell us what happened but a picture tells a story without words."
"It doesn't mean the story is true," Roseanne said. "Anyone can make up a story based on a picture."
Yerim shook her head. "You know it just like I do, Rosé. I told you about the diary I found. Tzuyu was murdered and if we have to look at the suspects, everyone needs to start looking at the people around her."
"What diary?" Seonghwa asked.
"This isn't the way to go about this," Roseanne said. "We can't find justice for Tzuyu without dragging people through the mud."
"You're worried about offending people? I thought you wanted to help Tzuyu," Yerim growled.
"I do but-"
"Are you saying the police should start looking at Jeon Jungkook?" Seonghwa interrupted.
"Stop," Roseanne said. "You're going to get sued," she looked at the camera. "I want nothing to do with this," Roseanne stormed out of the camera's view. Seonghwa chuckled and Yerim shrugged.
Yerim lifted a shoulder and stared at the camera. "I'm not saying anything but if we have to look at the people around Tzuyu...isn't the boyfriend always the prime suspect?"
