Madeline's POV- November 2017

To be honest, I was glad I decided to come to Arizona for Thanksgiving weekend. I got to spend time with my family, mostly my sisters because my dad and stepmom were busy with work. Thanksgiving with the Bellinger's was eventful. I met most of Cody's childhood friends who were actually pretty excited to meet me. They were all sweet boys, and I got to hear funny stories about Cody. I was able to meet up with Alex, and even had breakfast with the Matthews family. It was there that Breyana apologized to me for being a bitch. There was no reason for me to be mad at her, so I accepted her apology. The weekend was honestly one for the books, and I was thankful for being able to not having to choose either Cody or school. To my surprise, Cody asked me if it was okay for him to join me in Toronto. He was currently asleep in my room while I prepped us up some breakfast.

"Morning" I greeted Kasperi as I flipped a pancake.

"Morning"

He made his way over and kissed my cheek.

"Willy told me that Cody's here"

I nodded.

"You don't mind, right?" I asked.

"Of course not, about time he came"

"Do you want breakfast?" I questioned.

"You know I never say no to your meals"

He took a seat and watched me make breakfast.

"I take it that Cody is still asleep"

"He is" I confirmed.

"How was tutoring?"

"It's nice to see that the students I've tutored have really improved in their writing" I stated.

"That's good"

I nodded and finished making pancakes.

"Has William left?" I asked.

"I don't think so"

"Be a doll and go upstairs and ask if he can wants food" I suggested.

"Alright"

I put some toast in the oven and began making two forms of eggs. Cody was not a creature of habit so I made him two sunny side up eggs. Kasperi and William liked their eggs scrambled so I made them their eggs that way.

"He wants food"

"Get your toast and eat up" I told Kasperi.

"Thanks for food"

"No problem" I replied.

"You're busy all day tomorrow, right?"

I nodded.

"I'll keep Cody occupied, we will go on a man date and get some Chinese"

"We're actually eating that for dinner tonight" I told him.

Technically I should have asked Cody but I knew he wouldn't mind.

"You are more than welcome to join us" I offered.

"Would Cody mind?"

"Doubt It" I replied.

"If Cody is fine with it then I will go. If not then I'll just go out with the guys or something"

"Nonsense you're coming with us"

"Youre supposed to be asleep still" I said when Cody made his presence known.

"Sorry about that, I had to pee"

He yawned.

"Did you just get back?"

I nodded as he wrapped his arms around my torse and kissed my cheek.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked.

He nodded against my shoulder.

"What are you making?"

"Breakfast" I answered.

"Need help?"

"You can make coffee" I replied. 

"I can do that"

He let go of me and began doing what I told him to do.

"Kasperi is going with us to eat Chinese tonight" I told him.

"Cool"

"You don't mind right?"

Cody laughed.

"I can assure you that I do not mind"

I shut off the stove as I finished cooking.

"It smells amazing"

"Morning William" I greeted.

"Morning Mads"

He was dressed in a suit looking incredibly handsome. 

"Looking good Will"

William smiled at Cody.

"You're back"

Cody nodded.

"I hope you don't mind"

William shook his head.

"Of course not"

"Who's picking you up?" I asked.

"Mitch"

I nodded.

"He's picking Auston up after he picks me up"

"Sounds good" I said.

We took a seat and began eating. Just as William finished eating, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it"

He got up to answer the door. 

"Cody whatever you do, do not stare at him"

Cody raised an eyebrow and turned to me.

"Why would I?"

William walked into the living room with Mitch behind him.

"Hey Kappy"

Kasperi fake smiled at Mitch as he stuffed a piece of pancake.

"Let me go get my suitcase"

Mitch nodded and looked at me.

"Madeline, it's nice to see you"

Kasperi snorted and I bit the inside of my cheek to prevent myself from laughing when Mitch glared at him.

"Hi Mitchell, you look nice" I complimented.

He looked good in his suit.

"Thank you"

I nodded.

"Can you pass me a piece of toast"

Cody nodded and handed Kasperi a piece of toast.

"You must be Madeline's boyfriend"

Cody looked at Mitch and smiled.

"I am Madeline's boyfriend"

He stretched out his hand.

"Hi, I'm Cody"

Mitch looked at the hand and to my surprise he shook Cody's hand.

"I'm Mitch"

He gave Cody one last glance and then looked at me.

"So are you visiting?"

"His season is over, so he will be here for a bit" I answered.

Hopefully Mitch kept his mouth shut, and didn't tell Auston. 

"Ready to go?"

He looked away and at William who walked into the living room.

"Uh, yeah"

William nodded and turned to us.

"So I guess I'll see you all in a week"

I smiled.

"Have fun" I told him.

"So what are you up to tonight?"

"We're going on a date to eat Chinese" I replied.

"And I'm third wheeling"

I turned to Cody and wiped the ketchup he had on his bottom lip. To my surprise, he looked at me as he licked the finger that had ketchup.

"Yum"

Both Cody and I started laughing when we looked at Kasperi to see he was looking at us with a look of disgust.

"You two are gorss"

I grinned.

"Get used to it" I told him.

He groaned as Cody met me halfway for a kiss.
