Madeline's POV- October 2017
: It's going to be too hot to wear this LA, but it's cold enough to wear it here in Toronto. Dodgers are going to the World Series! AHHH #ThisTeam
The Dodgers were going to the World Series. As happy as I was for Cody and his team, there was this form of dread in the pit of my stomach. Just a few months ago, I had been in the same position as Cody. I had hoped to end my collegiate career with a National Title. Afterall, the odds were technically in our favor. Going into the Women's College World Series, the Florida Gators softball team was in first place. We easily advanced to the Championship series where we faced the Oklahoma Sooners. They ended up winning and actually sweeping us. There was this feeling in my gut that was telling me that this was not going to end well and I was trying my best to ignore it.
"You're staring"
I smiled and leaned in to kiss Cody's cheek.
"Good morning handsome" I greeted.he hummed.
"You missed"
"Did I now?" I teased.
He slowly opened his eyes and nodded.
"Yeah"
I laughed as he puckered his lips. When he saw I wasn't moving, he pouted at me.
"You're being mean to me"
"We've got morning breath" I stated.
"I don't care"
He cupped my cheek as I leaned in. Just as our lips were about to meet, there was a knock on the door.
"Yes?" I called out.
"Lunch is ready!"
"Is it that late?" I asked.
Cody groaned as I sat up. Reaching for my phone, I sat that it was 1PM.
"Be there in a second" I said.
"I will eat your guys food!"
Chris was not lying there.
"Come on, get up" I told Cody.

He pouted and shook his head.
"Not until I get my kiss"
I sighed and smiled at him.
"Fine" I joked.
He smiled and met me halfway into the kiss.
"I missed you so much"
He pressed his nose against my cheek and then kissed my cheek.
"Well it's a good thing I'll be here all week" I replied.
Win or lose I was going to be by Cody's side.
"Now let's change and go eat" I said.
I gave him one last kiss in order to get him to let go of me. Once I was out of bed, I walked over to my suitcase.
"Are you going to get up?" I asked.
"I'm enjoying the view"
He laughed when I reached for a pillow that was on the floor and threw it at him.
"Your aim is still great"
I hummed and decided to keep the shorts I was wearing on. LA was experiencing a heatwave, so I was pretty happy to be home. To be honest, I had missed the warmth. Can you blame me though? I had grown up in warm states (California, Arizona, Florida). Toronto was beautiful, but I had yet to get used to the cold.
"Ready?"
I nodded as Cody adjusted the waistband of his shorts on his waist.
"Let's go eat"
He opened the door and I followed him to the living room.
"Good morning"
Andi smiled.
"More like afternoon"
I made my way around Cody and grinned at her.
"Good afternoon" I greeted.
"It's nice to see you"
I pulled her into a hug as I nodded.
"You two were up early" I noted.
"Yeah, we had breakfast with my dad"
"How nice" I stated.
She slowly nodded.
"You two must be starving, I gotta give it to you for still having the energy to have sex last night"

Cody laughed.
"Oh we didn't have sex, Maddy just gave me a back massage"
"He just finds a way to make everything sexual" I noted.
Chris chuckled.
"Thanks for the sandwich Andi"
She smiled before turning her attention to the everything bagel she was layering with avocado.
"I'm almost done with yours MAddy"
"Is there coffee?" I asked.
Chris nodded.
"We picked some up on the way"
"Hello to you Mr. Co-MVP" I greeted.
He chuckled.
"It's nice to see you Maddy"
He gestured at Cody.
"This one has been absolutely miserable"
Cody nodded agreeing.
"Here you go"
"Thank you" I said as I took the cup of coffee.
"Caramel macchiato"
I took a sip of the coffee and smiled.
"You're both the best" I told him.
"I thought I was the best"
I looked at Cody.
"You're my favorite" I corrected.
He took a sip of his coffee before biting his sandwich.
"Here you go Maddy"
"Thank you" I replied as Andi handed me my toast.
"No problem"
I took a seat next to Cody and took a bite of the avocado toast.
"Are you two doing anything today?"
Cody shook his head.
"We've got nothing planned" I replied.
The twins had class, and after they had a team meeting/dinner. Mom worked, and Mike (my stepdad) was working on a case.
"Did you need the place?"
Chris chuckled and looked at Andi who smiled before shaking her head at him.
"No, we were hoping we could talk with you"
Cody raised an eyebrow.
"Me?"
They nodded and he glanced at me.
"Maddy can stay"
He slowly nodded.
"Well what is it?"
Chris smiled and scratched his bearded jaw before looking at Andi who laughed.
"I'll tell him then"
The smile on Chris' face got bigger when she placed her hand on her stomach and looked at Cody.
"I'm pregnant"
Cody sighed of relief.
"I thought you two were kicking me out"
Chris laughed and I stood up. Making my way around, I opened my arms.
"You're going to be a dad" I squealed.
He nodded and squeezed me.
"I have low key been an emotional mess since I found out"
I laughed and kissed his cheek.
"You're going to be a great father Chris" I told him.
Letting go of him, I walked over to Andi and hugged her again.
"How far along are you?" I asked.
"I'm due in April"
Making her approximately 3 months pregnant. As I talked with Andi, Cody hugged Chris.
"You wouldnt mind if Andrea moved in, right?"
"No offense or anything, but she technically already lives here"
She laughed and nodded.
"I honestly do"
"Congrats" I said to her.
She smiled.
"What did your parents' have to say?"
I looked at Chris who nodded.
"My parents are thrilled"
"Is that why you were at your dad's today?" I asked.
Andi nodded.
"Yeah, we told him"
Chris chuckled.
"Her dad thought I was there to ask for her hand in marriage"
I don't think I have seen Chris smile this big, and the guy is always smiling. Congrats to them.
"Are you ready to have a kid Maddy?"
I smiled and shook my head.
"Not until I finish my career" I replied.
Andi laughed.
"I thought the same thing, and here I am. What do you think Cody?"
I looked at Cody who nervously scratched his neck and laughed.
"Uh, no comment"
"We're still young, we have time" I said.
Andi nodded.
"Get married before though"
We hadn't really talked about children or even marriaged because well we hadn't been going out that long.
"I'll keep that in mind" I stated.
I winked at Cody who smiled. He was it, I knew he was the guy I was going to marry and spend the rest of my life with.

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. The Electric Messiah
Volume Two of the Ontogeny series. A time of unprecedented crisis has come. During a mission to the edge of the known world, Brigadier Weyland James discovered that humanity faces a threat so terrible that the sane mind can barely conceive it. Failure to meet this threat would mean the end of human civilisation, mankind thrown back to a life of wandering savagery, easy prey for the true masters of the planet who see humans as mere animals, theirs to use and exploit as they see fit.Hope exists, if all mankind can unite, putting aside their petty differences for the greater good, but the truth is so unbelievable that the Brigadier faces an almost impossible task in convincing the leaders of the human world. His task is made even harder by the fact that several governments have been infiltrated by agents of the enemy, who are using their influence to sow seeds of war and chaos. The Brigadier is not mankind's only hope, though. In Helberion, a small group of scientists, struggling to make a major scientific breakthrough, is being hampered by assassination and sabotage. Is this the work of the enemy of mankind? King Leothan hopes it is, because it would mean that the enemy fears this new science, that it could be used to create a powerful weapon against them. A weapon that could be the Saviour of Mankind. The Electric Messiah... This is the sequel to Ontogeny. If you haven't read that book yet you must read it before you read this book.

The Thing About Apholie: A Wolfwalkers Fanfiction
14 year-old Abigail Rosmere is afraid. Afraid of the wild. Which would make being friends with Apholie Lilliput, a wild girl from the nearby woods, sound very ironic. She's the only wild thing Abigail isn't afraid of. But when Apholie accidentally turns her into her species, far unlike any human, Abigail's world is turned upside down. And when Apholie is in danger, will Abigail run and save herself or stay and fight to protect the only thing she has left to call her own? (This is my first story on Wattpad and it is inspired by Wolfwalkers. I do not own the movie, it's characters, plot or any part of it at all. Credit goes to the original creators, Cartoon Saloon. I do own this sh*tty fanfic however, lol)*WATCH WOLFWALKERS FIRST BEFORE READING THIS FANFIC, IT WILL MAKE MORE SENSE, JUST TRUST ME!!!!*Additional stuff, (lol):Updates will most likely be very slow, mainly either due to school or lack of motivation. Also, I do not take requests. I do, however, take constructive criticism. My writing will most likely get better with the more books I compose, cus honestly I'm not too proud of this, but I'm too lazy to change it so I'm sticking with it. This was made with no planning whatsoever, so be prepared for some parts that may not make any sense. Lack of self confidence aside, I do hope you enjoy!(Thx for the 107 views, by the way!)
