《[Cody x Reader]》Too late im updatin this

The day after your encounter with Cody, you wake up in your hotel bed, your hair a tangled mess. There's drool on your pillow- hopefully you weren't unconsciously making out with it.
As you get dressed in the new outfit you bought yesterday, you think about your brush with fame.
You mutter aloud, "Cody was so cute. And I didn't even get his number."
You walk past your mother, who is furiously typing away at her computer.
"Hi, Mom."
"[Y/N], dear! I hope you're having fun!" Your mother doesn't look up from the computer, but she gives you a thumbs up. "Your dad and I will be busy until noon, so keep yourself occupied. And try not to watch TV all day."
"Ah, I won't, Mom." Her mention of TV gives you an idea. Why not watch all the released episodes of Total Drama so far?
As your mom leaves to attend her meeting, you sit down on the plush bed, open your laptop, and click on episode one, Walk Like An Egyptian.
Sierra is totally insane. Cody likes me, not her, you think as you watch Sierra hug Cody for the bazillionth time. Not like you'll ever see him again, unfortunately.
You're almost finished with episode three when you hear a knock at the hotel door.
"Who in the hell?" you mutter, pausing the episode. Your parents aren't hurt, are they? Who else could it be?
You open the door and find a tall, burly man with dark skin and a chef's hat placed atop his head. He glares sternly at you. And... you recognize him.
"You must be [Y/N]," he says in a husky voice.
"Yep. And you're Chef, right?" You shiver, even though it's really hot inside the hotel. "I was just watching Total Drama before you interrupted me."
"Put a sock in it," Chef growls. "Listen up, kid. Chris had the 'genius' idea to add you to the show. After the stunt you pulled with that Cody boy, our viewers would be pissed if you never showed up again. Love triangle, blah blah blah, more views."
"Me? I'll get pummeled!" you exclaim. "Those kids are all insane! Except Cody, but, well-"

"It's not really your choice," Chef responds. "I'm just the delivery guy. And you signed a contract with Chris last night, so you're already on the show."
"The hell?" Your lower eyelid twitches. See Cody again? Hell yes. Join crazed teenagers on a freaky musical TV show? Hell to the no!
"Just pack some crap and get this overwith. We're on a schedule," Chef grumbles.
You slam the door and run to your suitcase.
"Okay, [Y/N], you're officially crazy," you say as you repack everything. "I'm not even that good of a singer! Sierra will pummel me!
"But," you add as an afterthought, "Cody'll be there, and this will be more exciting than the whole NYC trip so far."
In two minutes, you're done. You roll your suitcase to the door and open it. On the opposite side, Chef is using his hat as a hand puppet.
"Uh, erm, are you ready?" Chef pulls his puppet hand behind him and escorts you to the taxi waiting down below.
When you arrive at the jet, Chef dumps your bag in the cargo hold and instructs you to wait until Chris announces your arrival.
You stand in the cargo hold, waiting in the dark, until Chris' voice cuts through the silence.
"Before we begin the next challenge, we have a new contestant joining the show," Chris announces. "They might be familiar to some of you" -you hear giggling through the metal doors- "but I figured they would be great for ratings. Introducing, [Y/N]!"
The metal doors are flung open, and thirteen bloodthirsty teens stare at you. You stare back.
"Uh, 'sup," you say awkwardly.
"Hi!" Cody chirps, and your eyes land on him. He smiles shyly, and you grin back. Sierra, standing next to him, glares at you and hugs Cody against her chest possessively. Cody winces.
"[Y/N] will be on Team Victory, since they seem to be short a player. Or three." Chris snickers, then walks back down the hall. "Get acquainted. Or not, I don't care. We have six hour flight."
"I'm going back to first class," deadpans a guy on the right. That's Noah, right? He leaves, followed by the large guy with blonde hair, Owen.

Team Victory, your new teammates, walk over. You are acutely aware of cameras watching your every move.
"Hi! I'm Lindsay," says a blonde girl with a blue bandana. "It's so awesome you're here."
"Yeah, maybe some new blood will help us win some challenges," says the black girl next to her. She smirks. "I'm Leshawna, and this is DJ." DJ smiles weakly.
"I know who you all are," you respond. "I was literally watching Total Drama when Chef kidnapped me."
"Well then you'll have no trouble helping us win the challenges," Lindsay says enthusiastically. "I'm gonna head back to economy class. Let me know if you want to borrow any lip gloss."
"Sorry you got stuck on my team," DJ says after Lindsay leaves, shoulders sagging.
"It's okay. I would've liked to be on Team Amazon, but we can't win 'em all," you reply. "Speaking of Team Amazon-"
"We all heard about Cody and you," Leshawna interrupts, eyeing you. "Personally, I would've gone for Alejandro, but your call, honey. You go get him."
"Thanks, Leshawna," you grin at her, then walk away to where Team Amazon is lingering in the doorway.
"Hi! I'm Gwen!" says Gwen, waving as you approach.
"I'm Courtney, and I'm a CIT," says Courtney, looking at you like you're a little kid. Heather leaves without bothering to introduce herself.
"Hey, [Y/N], nice to see you again." Cody grins at you.
"Hi, Cody," you reply, stepping closer to him. "Have a nice night yesterday?"
"Step away from Cody!" Sierra screeches. You flinch and comply. Cody casts you a pleading glance, and you bite your lip.
"Cody and I are getting married," Sierra informs you nastily.
Gwen grabs your hand and pulls you into the next corridor before you have a chance to retaliate. You crouch down to listen to her.
"I'm on your side," she whispers. "I don't like how Sierra's so clingy, and if Cody likes you more than her then you two deserve to be together."
You stare back at her. "Is this about how you like Duncan even though Courtney does?"
"What? No!" Gwen huffs. "He's not even on the show anymore, jeez! Listen, just say the word and I'll distract Sierra. Try to distract her, anyways."
"The word," you answer. "You're actually pretty cool."
Gwen smiles, then stands up and walks back to Sierra.
"Hey Sierra," you hear her say, "Chris said he wants you to go to the confessional."
"Really? Whatever he wants," Sierra responds perkily. "Stay right here, Codykins." A few seconds later, Gwen strolls by, Sierra bouncing at her heels.
"Gwen's really cool," you say as you walk around to greet Cody.
He immediately puts his hands on your waist. "Not as cool as you," he answers. "It sucks we're not on the same team, [Y/N]. I bet you would've helped Team Amazon."
"Don't worry about it," you reply, kissing him on the forehead. "We just need to focus on eliminating Team Chris Is Really Really Really Hot."
Cody giggles and pulls you into a hug. His hands run up and down your spine. You savor the moment, smelling the musty smell of Cody's clothes. You can't blame him, considering this jet probably doesn't have a washing machine.
Then you remember where you are.
"Hey, we should get out of here. Ezekiel's probably lurking in one of the crates," you say, pulling out of the hug to face Cody.
Cody smirks. "So you watched the first episode? Zeke got eliminated first round."
"Yeah," you reply. "But he's a stowaway on the plane. I guess you guys haven't seen him yet?"
"Nope," Cody answers, a look of panic flickering across his face. "I'll be on the lookout now. That guy was freaking weird."
"Well, would you rather be in the storage with Zeke or economy with Sierra?" you ask him.
Cody ponders this. "Storage, I guess. At least Zeke doesn't want to kiss me."
"But I do." You press your lips against his. Cody leans into the kiss. The storage door conveniently slams shut, leaving Cody and you in the darkness. Hopefully Gwen locked Sierra in the confessional.

The Last Orellen (An Epic Progression Fantasy)
According to prophecy, the ninth-born child of Lord Orellen will have the sort of power that changes the world. But in a land ruled by mage families, no one welcomes the possibility of a dangerous new player. Fearful even of their allies, the Orellens come up with an extraordinary and deadly scheme to protect themselves. If the most powerful sorcerers in the world wish to kill the ninth-born, they will have to find him or her first. And that's not going to be easy when the Orellens have called upon dark magic to create hundreds of heirs. The boys and girls are given new bodies, new names, and even new magical talents before they are scattered across the continent. Only one among them is the real ninth, but all of them will have to grow up in a world where they are fugitives. Kalen, once fated to die, is now an Orellen heir in hiding. And he is determined to survive, even if he has to master his strange new powers to do it. The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused progression fantasy set in a vast universe about a boy's journey to become a powerful mage. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Dungeon Pearl
Zeke lived a normal life and died a normal death. Fortunately for him, this wasn't the end. Swallowed by a strange creature known as a dungeon pearl he quickly gained the godlike power of the core for himself! A very small, weak god. Unfortunately for him, it seems that he won't be left alone. An attempt at a more organic dungeon core novel. Riffs on a lot of litrpg stuff without actually being litrpg. Cover by Douglas Terabyte!

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
