"...both will be accepted into the Shinigami Academy. All you have to do is choose a surname to go by," said one of them. I smirked at Rue and she smiled back at me.
"We both want to be named Diabolos," I stated. Our family, the family we had with Louri, Ryuu, and Kikyo, was named Diabolos by ourselves. We heard the name on our travels together and loved it because it meant 'devil' in a language called greek.
"Fine then. Agito Diabolos and Rue Diabolos, do you hereby swear to uphold justice to protect souls from the forces of evil? To risk your life for others sake? To follow orders when given? To be honorable even unto death? And to serve Soul Society as its soldier all the days of your life?" I raised my right hand in the air and Rue copied me. I smirked and Rue smiled a bit as we swore.
"We, Agito Diabolos and Rue Diabolos, hereby swear to uphold bullshit to protect souls from evil. To risk our life and ass for others sake. To follow what's right even if we burn in hell. To die the most epic way possible. And to never serve Soul Society but it's people as its soldier all the days of our life." After we said that, we started laughing our heads off.
"That oath will never be recognized in Soul Society! Do you dare spit on our sacred oath?!"
"Bitch please, we made an oath and we're not taking it back. You can either take it or leave it." Kuchiki disappeared and a cold sharp blade lay against my neck threateningly.
"Watch your mouth. Do as you're told," he ordered. I grinned wickedly as I looked up at him.
"Would you serve Soul Society even if it orders to kill every single family member?" I saw him flinch the tinest bit, "Exactly. This oath is to protect us both. What if Soul Society were to order that I kill Rue? What if it orders me to forsake a hundred lives just to save one?"
"Soul Society will never do such a thing!" cried out one of the examiners. I chuckled.
"Bullshit. Even the most righteous members of society can be as cruel as a sadistic serial killer. All it takes is one rotten apple to spoil the rest. Soul Society is no different. It has just as much cruelty as hollows if not more."
"You disrespect your leaders Agito Diabolos?!" I glared at the three examiners equally.
"You wouldn't be fighting to protect your name if it wasn't true." They slightly gasped and stayed silent. I pushed away Kuchiki's sword only to cut my fingers slightly.
"Fine, then. Your rooms will be-"
"I apologize for my interruption but I would like to offer them housing," Kuchiki said. The examiners nodded in agreement.
"Fine then. Hopefully, I never see you again Agito Diabolos. You're nothing but trouble." I smirked cockily.
"Why not, I can't wait to see you three again. I suggest you watch your back. I'm watching yours," I say before walking out the door. Rue jogged to catch up with me and took my hand, looking at the slightly bleeding fingers.

"They'll bleed a lot but they'll turn into scabs. They're not that deep," she diagnosed to me. I nodded and smiled at her before turning my eyes to the Kuchiki behind us.
"Follow me," he said before swiftly turning around and walking off. Rue and I followed quietly. As we walked, Shinigami seem to be crawling out like cockroaches to look at us. Rue gripped my hand in reassurance. I squeezed back and stared at the back of the Kuchiki's head.
"What do you expect from us Kuchiki? To act like perfect princesses in your house or like servants?"
"You're not going to my house Diabolos. I'm taking you to a friend of mine. She will train you Agito in using your reiatsu for physical combat and she also has connections with fouth Company, our healers division." Rue and I stay silent. This Noble is sure acting strange. But when we were wandering around, we barely saw noblemen but when we did, they sat on pedistals as male servants lifted the throne on their shoulders, as if they were far more better than to touch the ground.
One time a nobleman got angry at a woman for accidentally kicking up dust when she was pushed away by the guards. Of course there just happened to be a cabbage vendor nearby. As you can probably guess, his fancy kimono was stained green from cabbages after we were done. Ah, good memories.
We walked in a different part of Seireitei, one Rue and I stood closely to each other because we were unfamiliar with it. The rich of the rich. Have you ever seen a homeless person walking around in a street full of millionaires? There's a reason. The moment a Rukongai rat steps on the perfect stone pavement of these streets, you already got four Noble housewives calling the police.
Already, I could feel the stares of people on my back. It's unnerving how easily I can strutt like a peacock in the slums but out here, I feel like a real cockroach.
Wait a minute, why? Why can I have so much confidence in the streets full of rapists, killers, gangs, and drug dealers and I'm stiff legged around snotty little brats?
I took a deep breath before putting my shoulders up, chest out, head held high and I glared at everyone and everything. Rue stayed close beside me but I kept my stature. Soon though, we can both hear arguing coming from a large mansion up ahead. Kuchiki guided us inside where a hot headed boy and a mischievous girl were in a argument. I could already tell that the girl was making fun of him and it was slightly amusing just watching them. Kuchiki cleared his throat and they instantly stopped.
"Good afternoon Grandfather, how was your day?" asked the boy before he set his sights on us. He instantly glared while the girl just looked on curiously.
"Who are they?"
Before Kuchiki can answer, I shot back, "If you wanna know, ask me. My name is Agito Diabolos and this is my twin sister Rue. I believe that wasn't the question you wanted to ask." His eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you wanted to ask, 'why are those peasants here?' It's not exactly hard to read the mind of a hot tempered brat such as his royal asshole," I say mockingly with a sweeping bow. He glared at me and gripped a kendo sword at me.

"Repeat that and see what happens," he challenged. I opened my mouth to repeat myself and throw worse insults but Kuchiki cut in between us.
"That's enough you two. Yoruichi, these two are freshly sworn Shinigami. Agito has abilities that nearly match up to yours." The girl came forward and looked us up and down.
She was strange looking. Plum-purple hair pulled into a ponytail with sidebangs that strangely reminded me of a cat with yellow eyes that glittered with mischief. She wore a Shinigami uniform that showed off her figure with a white coat over it. There was only one thing that interested me about her. She was from African descent. You rarely see a japanese african that often.
"What are you thinking right now?" she asked me. I opened my mouth to say what's on my mind but stopped and pushed Rue forward a bit.
"Agito has a really sharp tongue so do you want the truth or her to be quiet?" Her eyes widened in surprise.
"Sure, go ahead and speak what's on your mind. I don't care but why do you let Rue-chan here speak for you?"
"If I can't speak my mind, I might as well not speak at all. You ask what I was thinking and I'll tell you. I thought it strange to see a african japanese person here. It's a rarity." She puffed up her chest full of pride.
"You hear that Byakuya? This guy knows exactly what he's talking about!" I glanced at the boy. His facial features reminded me of a knife. His hair was long and black, his eyes a wisteria color. He was probably a little bit older than me but not by much. He was glaring hatefully down at me.
"You ask for permission from this hellcat but you just shot your mouth off at me? I guess I can accept hypocrisy when I'm dealing with slum rats."
"Byakuya! That's not nice!" called out Yoruichi. I glanced at the Kuchiki captain before speaking carefully.
"I have no respect for someone that instantly downgraded my sister and I just because of where we come from. I hate cocky little hotheaded bastards like you the most, that think they sit on a high horse but really, you're nothing but a donkey yourself. I would have used much stronger language but since I'm speaking in front of your grandfather, I rather not embarrass you further." He looked about ready to explode before Yoruichi started laughing her butt off.
"He got you there! Stop being such an ass!" Byakuya moved his anger toward Yoruichi and swung his sword diagonally at her.
"Why you-!" I yanked Rue out of the way from the wooden stick he was swinging around dangerously. I growled in my throat in annoyance.
"I guess I can accept arrogance when I'm dealing with nobility and watch where you're swinging that stick!" He switched his anger towards me and swung his stick.
"Shut up!" I focused my energy into my arm and blocked the stick, making it crack under the force. Everyone froze as they watched what I was doing but I glared at Byakuya.
"A Shinigami should only swing to hit a hollow, not against his own people. It's a shame that I should know this, a street rat from the slums and yet you don't even if you were born in nobility." I was about to say more but Kuchiki stepped in between us.
"Enough! Byakuya, go back to your zanjutsu practice. Agito, Rue, Yoruichi, follow me." I took a last glance at Byakuya to see him glaring at me. I smirked back at him which made him even angrier. We followed after Kuchiki-san to a small meeting room of sort and Rue and I sat down on the cushions respectfully. Yoruichi sat between us and Kuchiki, offering us a reassuring smile.
"Explain now on what happened with both my grandson and Giyu," Kuchiki ordered.
"Explain now on why you just happen to have an interest in us," I shot back and his eyes narrowed. We both have information they other wants to know and we're both gonna fight tooth and nail for that info's secrecy.
"Will you both swallow your pride and just tell each other?! Jeez, you're worse than bickering wives!" I glared at Yoruichi but she took not notice.
"Why not you swear to tell each other and Agito and Rue go first. Kuchiki can't back down from an oath so he'll do it." I thought about it before nodding.
"I swear," I say.
"I swear," he says. I nudge Rue and she explained.
"Agito is naturally mean to anyone. She tests people's strength by breaking down at they will by tormenting them with her words. Giyu-san failed her test and now she'll torment him forever. Byakuya-san passed her test so now she'll somewhat respect him. somewhat," she said. I nodded my head in agreement.
"Now you're turn. Why are you so interested in us?" He didn't answer right away but he reluctantly started talking.
"I would not have bothered with either of you if I didn't see you two together. It's extremely rare to see twins that found each other in the after life. Especially when you're both polar opposites of each other. I wanted to study you but I also want my grandson to be taught a lesson. You Agito showed that you know this lesson and follow it. I want Byakuya to learn that honor doesn't come with a last name, it comes from sacrifice." He pointed at me while he said it. I crossed my arms over my chest defiantly.
"So you brought us here to do a little research on us and to give your little grandson a lesson in not being so cocky?" Kuchiki grunted. I looked at Rue and Rue looked back at me. This was an odd turn of events. Kuchiki wants us to teach the brat how to be 'honorable', which means I have to interact with him even more. Great, in the end of this week, Byakuya and I would have killed each other. I sigh before turning back to Kuchiki.
"What exactly do you want us to do?"
