"Hey babe"Ethan says as he comes up behind me and grabs my waist. "Hey"I say giving him a peck on the lips. "Where you heading?"Ethan asks as he intertwined his fingers with mine. "I was just going to the cafe for lunch"I responded with a quick smile then releasing it. "Can I join?"Ethan asks. I wanted to say no, but I knew he'd turn it into something big. "Uh- Yeah,sure. Why not?"I say giving into his desperation.

"Hey so, Jessie and Daniel invited us to go see the lights with them tonight and I was just wondering if you maybe wanted to go with"I inform Ethan. "Yeah sure"Ethan says shrugging his shoulders. "Are you sure you want to go?" I ask for confirmation,due to the fact that his shoulder shrug said otherwise. "I said yes,why are you asking again?"Ethan scoffs. "I- I was just making sure" I say giving him a quick smile then releasing.

I was scared of Ethan. I am scared of Ethan. I feel like one wrong move and I'll get punched for it,slapped,or pushed around. It was a constant cycle of abuse that I didn't know how to get out of. I knew not to have any intimate or long conversations with other guys or he'd find out and get triggered,not to do anything without telling him.Ethan just cares a lot for me,which is why I don't like making him upset. His hits and pushes are just signs of warnings and anger,I understand.

"You ready ?"Jessie asks me as she puts in one of her earrings. "Yeah just let me find my shoes really quick" I say pulling my high tops converse out of my closet and putting them on. "You're the slowest person I know when it comes to getting ready"Jessie says letting go of a chuckle. "Well Daniel is waiting for me outside so I'll meet you and Ethan out there okay?"Jessie says as she grabbed her purse. "Yeah, I'll be quick"I say as Jessie walks out of the room.

"Beka!"I hear a voice yell as their footsteps get louder ,as they get closer. "Hey babe I was just putting on my shoes. Are you ready?"I ask Ethan as I wrapped my arms around him. "Get off of me"he says ,grabbing my arms and squeezing my right wrist. "So I heard you had that Alex guy in here?" Ethan says as his squeeze becomes tighter. "Ethan you're hurting me!"I say trying to release my wrist from his tight grip. "Are you cheating on me?"Ethan asks with anger in his voice. "Of course not! He was just in here to get something of Jessie's"I admit. Ethan just stares at me without saying anything. "Ethan let go of me,seriously !"I yell. Ethan pushes me onto my bed, "I'm not going"he says as he stared into my eyes.Ethan then walks out of the room,slamming the door.

I just sat there ,like an idiot,taking in everything that just happened.

Jessie storms in moments later,"Hey we're still waiting on you"Jessie says. "Yeah,hey. It's okay I won't be going anymore,Ethan's sick"I cover up. "Oh I'm sorry"Jessie says. "Yeah. Me too"I say under my breathe.

"Well you can still come with us,I promise we won't third wheel you"Jessie says with a smile. I scoff and give in. "Fine" I say as we both make our way out of our room.
